This story was cleanly written and edited, with few typos that I caught in the ARC version of this manuscript. This novella was not a complete romance, but rather was a slice of life story of several different couples who previously had their romances written earlier in the series. The world building in this story was minimal. The characterization was okay, considering it was a slice of life story. There was no central romance in this story. The plot and pacing was exciting, though the author started what could become a major plot point of upcoming novels in this series without tying it up at all. There was some angst in this story, as some of the couples encountered marital bumps. The stakes in this story were fairly low, which tends not to be my favorite narrative structure for a romance novel. I recognized no common romance novel tropes in this story, as it was not a complete romance. The world building was two stars. The plot and pacing was four stars. The characterization was four stars. I gave this novel a combined score of four stars, even with the terrible world building. This story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, because of dangling plot threads that went unresolved. I recommend this story to readers who would enjoy a slice of life story about previous couples in this series. I do not plan to buy myself a keeper copy of this story.

The story gives updates on previous couples as they face two national emergencies: an unheard of number of Zerconians abruptly going into mating fever simultaneously, and the stuff of nightmares: a lack of chocolate. These couples face medical emergencies, intimacy, comedic interactions, physical confrontations, medical mysteries, injuries, destruction, and having to place the last of their hope in someone they do not trust. And they can only hope that they can resolve all issues with the payoff of a chocolate-filled Easter celebration.

It's sweet short book with the a very pregnant Empress Zoey escapes from to palace, invades in the Ellie's bakery yelling "National Emergency". Empress Zoey is about to give birth, Moroco healer order her bed rest and not to move around... Emperor Dax striding the palace searching for his mate...Another crazy day on the planet Zerconia.
A funny and crazy little story about Easter in a planet in another galaxy.
I just love Zoey and Dax, they make laugh every time, she is crazy... the Emperor Zoey is "loca"!!!

Zoey needs chocolate and tells Ellie that she needs to make chocolate Easter eggs for the holiday. Zoey is also pregnant with her son and is suffering from high blood pressure. She is suppose to be on bed rest and of course Zoey is unable to follow those instructions. While on her way back to the palace a warrior tries to attack her. Boris keeps her safe. Their is something strange going on with the warriors. They are becoming violent. What happens now? Must read to find out.

This was meant to be a fun interlude taking place around Eastern and a look back at characters we have met along the way. In other words, you should be familiar with the books in this series so that you know them, their backgrounds, and their situations which this book will be updating for you. Along with a new baby being born, you can also indulge in the chocolate that Zoey has requested for everyone.

Grab your copy and read about old friends and what they have been up to. Some interesting things will be happening to lead you into the next book! But have fun with this one.

A Zerconians slice of life book that takes place around Easter. A new baby is born just as a violent breakout of Mating Fever hits several unmated males. And most important for many of us chocoholics out their, chocolate eggs are ordered made by Empress Zoey. This is Not a standalone, it is written as a glimpse into a world that to understand you would need to read prior books from this series. It also sets up for a big mystery that will hopefully be solved in the next book.

I wish it had been longer, but I knew it wouldn't be, still... loved it! I enjoyed my little visits with some of the couples from previous books.I was cracking up at some of the Zoeyisms.
*spoiler:
DOOD rule: do the opposite of the old bat. lol! then when she told Boris to take a note, that she would need for him to smother Moroco in his sleep, I really lost it. My granddaughter wanted me to read her what was so funny. Yeah, you just have to know Zoey to understand.
Then just a few pages later, I'm crying. Full rang of emotions.
Thanks for delivering again Sadie!

First let me say this is not a stand-alone. It’s a fun addition to this incredible world created by Sadie Carter. You do need to read the previous books (all of them are stand alones) in order to understand what’s going on and the background of each couple, otherwise I think you’ll be confused. I really enjoyed getting a peek into their lives and what’s going on- I love the couples and getting a snippet of each was wonderful!

I really enjoyed this. I am unfamiliar with the series from which this story comes from, but it was easy to read and follow all of the characters. This story is more of a novella to the larger series. Although it visits some of the characters from the series in a cute and happy interlude in their lives, there is still a touch of intrigue and action that occur. Now I am looking forward to getting the books in the series so that I can get to know these characters.

This was an awesome read that I thoroughly enjoyed and I highly recommend. The story and characters pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading until I finished. If you love hot alpha males and the heroines they love with a hot and sexy romance then this book is for you. It's an awesome book and a definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more!!!

This novella surrounds events that take place around Easter. The Zerconians have no idea what Easter is all about but a very pregnant Zoey is insistent on getting some chocolate! Dex and Zoey, Racar and Ellie, Moroco and Saffron as well as Macon and Annabel are all featured and the result is a fun read. There is some tension and it is a nice bridge in the series!

This book is a part of the Zerconian Warriors series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. But it's best to read these books in order to fully understand the "who, what when, where, why, how come and what ifs" of these stories.
We get to revisit with several couples from previous books. A baby is born! And there's a violent breakout of the "mating fever" among several unmated males. What is going on?
Read to find out what happens.

This fun, very well written, short story in the Zerconian Warriors Series is a well-written book with Characters that are strong and full of sass. The story has drama, humor, twists/turns, chemistry, revisits to previous chraracters, action, adventure, surprises, passion, romance, and love. This is a must read story by a must read Author. This is not a standalone, you need to read the previous stories

This story is part of the Zerconian Warriors Series. Very fast paced and great storyline. I liked that some of the other characters were in this book and to see what's happened in there lives. There has been a baby born and a violent outbreak of "mating fever." You can also get chocolate that Zley has requested. Can't wait for the next book from Sadie Carter. Fantastic addition to the Zerconian Warriors series but you do need to read the other books in this series to understand what’s going on and the characters. This story is emotional and I loved revisiting the other characters and the fun of the human females who love their chocolate but then who doesn’t. This is a short fun read and I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

So you know how in some romance novels, pregnancy is well, romanticized? Maybe there is a little morning sickness, but otherwise just happiness. Not really in this universe, poor Zoe.

To say Zoe's pregnancies' aren't easy is an understatement. But its also real, and what many woman do have to deal with both during and after pregnancy.

But don't worry this book also has a lot of folks getting sick on chocolate for friendship. :-)

I loved it. It was fun. I couldn’t help but laugh how hilarious they are. Of course, danger is still ever present. This is a nice break from the seriousness and it was nice reading all the other mated Zerconians.

Nice way to hear about old friends

Loved this short story, like finding out about old friends and what is going on with them. Sorry will never change and the rest of the ladies keep their r mates as confused as Zoey does to Dax but the love this so real for each couple that I hope to never miss a new book about them. Have re-read this series about 4 times already

Old friends

I love revisiting couples from previous books. It's a peek at how the happily ever after is going. It's fun to read how their lives are going after the big finish to their books. This book also added a twist to the overall story of the series. Can't wait for the next book!

It was so nice to have a little view into my favorite Zerconians and theirs better halves’ life. I loved every little bit of it. Story was fast paced. Filled with so much respect between them, better understanding and just this perfect attachement. I laughed and smirked so often during this story. However I still have so many questions.. hopefully I can get answers soon.

Easter Eggs, chocolate, who could ask for more? The Human Empress, Zoey needs chocolate, and being heavily pregnant pleads with Ellie, the baker to make some. This book is funny and a quick read for Easter. Good to see the interaction between characters from previous books.

Book fourteen in the Zerconian Warriors a well written story, that I will warn do not start at bedtime! Once I started I was not putting the book down. I laughed as I read this book, of these strong, caring, very possessive men and the women they love, as they get ready for a birth and Easter. I will be reading this series again.

This is the 2nd book I've read written by Sadie Carter; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is a great story! It is an Easter story in the Zerconian series. We catch up with the warriors and their mates. Something is going on to the unmated warriors that baffle the Emperor and Healers. On top of it all is the desire for chocolate Easter eggs that the Empress is craving.
