Having dealt with the immediate threat of the mutated Warped, Earth Force and Unity are preparing to leave Earth’s Solar system.
Their destination is the alien space station known as Hammerhead, a nexus for space miners venturing into the nearby asteroid field.
Led by their captain, Nori, they will have to navigate their way through many aliens and cultures. They’ll forge new friendships and acquire resources and alien technologies in order to help the survivors back home.
But their main objective is different: they’re hunting the person responsible. The one who gave the order to infuse Earth with the Tec. They will track him down at any cost to discover what he has in store for the entire human race.
Shemer has been a fan of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and RPG games since the early 80’s. In 2016 he started writing his first novel: Life Reset which turned into a 6-book series with its grand finale published in 2021. Each book in the series became an Amazon bestseller. In 2019 Shemer quit his day job as a software developer to become a full-time author and released his second series: Earth Force, a sci-fi series consisting of a 2-book arc. Shemer hopes to garner enough community awareness and support to start writing the second arc. As an avid gamer, a D&D dungeon master, and Navy veteran, Shemer has a wealth of life experience to draw on for his writing. His books always include elements of kingdom/settlement development where the protagonist is forced to carve out a new place for themselves in the face of adversity.
Shemer spends his days writing and his nights fighting crime (well, mostly convincing his kids to go to bed, which is very similar). Shemer also enjoys writing about himself in the third-person and hopes you find his work enjoyable.

I love me a good crafted story. This story picks up almost exactly from where book one ended and it steps on the gas and doesn't let go until the end.
It does an awesome job of not only maintaining the Gamelit-ness of the story, but it builds upon agalaxy that you just want to read more and more about.
I know we just got this, but can we please get book 3 now?
Humanity is once again the underdog, but they aren’t without Champions of their own
However, they aren’t superheroes, just a scrappy group of humans who won’t give up! There’s a lot of money making and scheming in this one! The art of the deal changes depending upon leverage, and Earth is lacking leverage, as well as protection for itself. But our team is working to correct that by mining, wheeling and dealing and even some missions. They are quickly learning the ways of the universe, and making some enemies above their levels and ability to handle. Time to get creative! Humans are tenacious and not meek by nature, but what can they do when outclassed in levels, technology, and ships? Read on to find out in this entertaining second installment of Earth Force!! I’m definitely enjoying it!
Discounting the premise, which goes into the fantasy realm, the story reads like a good science fiction story. Read the first book about 6 months ago and reread it then read this one. I held off as I really hate waiting on the next book when it is a series. I like that I can "escape" the craziness going on ATM in this story. Looking forward to an audio version of this book as well as the next book in the series.
I first purchased books 1 & 2 when they were first published, I happily noted the author revisited book 1 recently, has I mentioned in my review at that time, this series has a great deal of potential which has thus far been both ignored and neglected! I look forward to seeing this series continue in book 3.
I found this book an amazing continuation of the first one was new friends and new enemies to deal with. I like that is is set to continue on, and I hope Shemer does keep writing this series. I have read or am reading everything he has written. So please keep up the good work.
Like the authors growth of character's given the learning curve of main character's. Story line has potential for many possibe offshoots of central themes of novel. You can see the growth of the authors voice in this second novel.
More trouble for the earth force. They throw themselves into the wolf den looking for knowledge. They want to learn about Tec and the new universe they inhabit as well as the ones who unleashed it on the world. They learn is that earth is special... And more. They want more technology to help the earth survivors and help earth grow and thrive. Earth force makes new enemies and more allies as well as making themselves felt in the infused universe. I enjoyed this book immensely and hope for a short wait for the next one. I'm interested to see where the Scion think goes and can that percentage be changes... maybe help the others get it.. Will see.
LitRPG in space. Definitely feels like an episodic TV series. This time we have a few battles, gain some crew, redecorate the ship, do some shopping, and make a bit safer along the way. Stay tuned for the next episode. I like the characters and the way world building is handled. Some nice banter and a few good challenges for the crew. A great continuation and great reading. No cute mascot yet.
I really enjoyed this story, although I felt that it was not as good as the first book. I honestly felt that some of the additions to the crew were a little irritating, especially Cattie, and sometimes the story just felt a little forced. And for me they did not focus enough on Nathan.
This was a great addition and I look forward to more adventures in this universe. The author does a great job of world building and making likable characters. Honestly, it’s also just a fun read for anyone that enjoys video games and litrpgs.
Loved how it continues from first book with unity leaving earth has lots of new characters and aliens and cool gear upgrades for the crew would recommend to anyone looking for a good sci-fi system apocalypse type book...
Computer game progression and cute dialog, some space and land combat. Decent story, give it a try. Not sure where the story line will take me but sounds like fun.
A gamer who loves to read should find these two books enjoyable. The writing is natural and the progression enjoyable. There is actually a possibility, if the witch loses, to continue this book.
good story, but slow character progression RPG elements.
First of all the good, I still find this story very interesting. The captain or navigator seems to be showing some signs of character development, although she is a little wishy-washy. She seems to be very timid at making decisions, and then on the other hand wants to rush in where Angels fear to tread. The other characters as well, or showing some Signs of more development. The bad, the skill progression, and r GP elements are woefully inadequate. I know the author mentioned that he wanted the progression to be slow but this is glacial. No level up until halfway through the book. That’s just ridiculous. This is more of a slice of life story with a smidgen of RPG elements thrown in. In fact, after reading this book, it’s been several years before the final book of the trilogy has come out I’m not sure I’m going to pay to read it since it’s not on Kindle unlimited. but then again, I might.
Better than the previous one but the writing still isn't great. Dialogue remains stilted but there's been some progress made in that regard. Its quirks felt more deliberate this time around. I wish the state of Earth was fleshed out a bit more; this series has been very USA focused— They speak for all of humanity and are themselves guided by a group of random kids. Hard to believe the rest of the world is just sitting by and waiting for the US to save them and weird to believe all those who were in power before the calamity are sitting by and letting young adults run their show
I really tried, the first book wasn’t good and this one was worse. If you want a book with really annoying characters and a boring story, then this is the book for that.
