Neighborhood bad boy makes good and finds his “one” by an almost-accident. Steamy too!
Twenty-four-year old Hannah Gibbons’ life has certainly changed. Previously she was a ballet dancer for the Boston Ballet, she had the best education and she had a loving mother. Her mother has since died of cancer and Hannah had to give up her ballet career to care for her. She works as a bartender at a local bar, making wrong drinks at an alarming rate. When she meets Dax, there are fireworks of both kinds.
Dax Hardin is the local bad boy who made good and is now a billionaire venture capitalist. He donates to lots of good causes, one of which is the Boston Ballet. At the moment he is plotting a takeover of Systems Industries b/c he is out to get Charles Finch whom he suspects of murdering his wife six years before. Dax only cares for his little daughter, Lily who is having speech problems since her mother’s death.
I love how Hannah’s appearance changes so much without her even knowing it. I also wondered about Aster, Dax’s Personal Assistant. Does she have more to hide than her jealousy of Hannah? And, Nico…what is he up to and who is he working for? Lots of questions until the beautiful and very satisfying end. Much steam develops between Hannah and Dax and we have a front-row seat ;-)
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended. I loved getting to know these characters and read this book straight through. Couldn’t put it down. Still thinking about it too!

I love Alexa’s stories and this one does not disappoint. She pulled me in from the beginning and kept me glued to my kindle to the very end. This story has the perfect mix of suspense, steam, and feisty heroine that made me chuckle over her spitfire comebacks....I can’t forget the sweet HEA either. Definitely pick this up if you are in the mood for a quick read that will have you guessing until the end.

Loved all the books in this series and this one is no exception their is enough angst and drama to keep you engaged and a steamy love story to melt you heart
Dax is a man of the streets who has made good but he still has that ruthless streak that allowed him to fight his way to the top and that streak means he is going after the business of Charles Finch the man he believes murdered his wife. meanwhile he is also a single dad to a little girl who has struggled since the death of her mother. Then to make things even more complicated he almost runs over a woman in the street a woman who offers to by him a drink as an apology Hannah takes him to the bar where she isn't a very successful waitress but after all she is new to the job she was a member of the Boston Ballet until she had to leave to care for her ill mother who has since died. Dax is captivated from the word go by this charming woman and when his revenge places her in danger he jumps to her protection Can they have a future together You will have to read to see

Ms. Alexa Hart has just impressed me with the latest, engrossing, installment to The Mob Daddies Series. I am talking about all consuming reading; from page 1, through to the riveting ending.
Hannah, a retired Ballerina, who is struggling after losing her only Parent (her Mother) to Cancer. Alone in the world with only her dog and her best friend, Hannah gets a new job that is definitely not a good fit. In one moments notice, her entire life changes, courtesy of one fine specimen of a man they call 'The Bastard Of Boston'. Follow along as these realistic characters prove that a happily ever after is possible should you want it bad enough (or come to your senses in time).
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Dax in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything published by Ms. Hart.
I am so grateful that this is a Series and we are guaranteed more amazing romance from her.

Dax was hot, gruff, very alpha and a teddy bear Dad, he was also big trouble. Hannah knew nothing about this guy, but knew she should stay away. Listen to her gut she sure didnt. This book sure kept me involved from the start. Hannah was a sweet girl but no pushover unless it came to her attraction to Dax. It was well written, involving, dramatic, and great characters which werent hard to like, but also steamy. I enjoyed the addition of how Hannah related to Lily and with how she treated Samson, who was also very much a character. A great story not overly long. Only wish the ending although not exactly rushed, it was a little quick. If it was a little more fleshed out it would be perfect. All in all a great book I can not help but recommend.

This book was magnificent! I couldn't put it down! Dax Hardin and Hannah Gibbons were great characters! Dax and Hannah meet after Hannah and her dog almost get plowed by a motorcycle on the streets of Boston. Dax was the driver of the motorcycle. Hannah is a retired ballerina dancer turned beginner bartender. Dax is ex-gang turned legit billionaire businessman. Someone attacks Dax and leaves him bleeding out on the street when Hannah comes across him on her way home from the bar. She takes him to her apartment to get bandaged. They end up having sex most of the night and in the morning and Dax slips out without a verbal word. But it is obvious that someone wants Dax badly hurt or at worse dead. So when Hannah's apartment is ransacked that leaves only one thing for Dax to do...move her in with him. This book is a must read and I highly recommend!

Dax is the fourth book in the Mob Daddies series by Alexa Hart and is a suspenseful billionaire romance. This excellent read features Hannah Gibbons, a bartender who previously was a ballerina who quit to care for her deceased mother who died of cancer, and Dax Hardin, single father and bad boy billionaire venture capitalist who is seeking revenge upon the man he suspects murdered his wife. They meet under strange circumstances with Hannah aiding Dax when he is injured. In return, Dax protects Hannah when her apartment is broken into and trashed. I highly recommend this intriguing read filled with suspense, unexpected twists, and sizzling romance.

Oh wow, Hannah and Dax's story had me on the edge of my seat to the end. I found it was hard to put the book down as and the end warmed my heart I wanted to cry.
Hannah is just trying to make it his ever she can, after her father turned his back on her. Dax is known for being ruthless, actually has a big heart for those he cares about. I have read a couple of Alexa Hart stories now and I have to say that Dax is my far my favorite. I don't normally give out 5 stars unless your book has earned it and this one did. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I really enjoyed the characters in Dax. Lily is the sweetest nine year old and open up to Hannah and her dog Sampson. You need to read this book and I promise you won't be disappointed. What are you waiting for grab your copy now.

The author has given us characters we can care about. Hannah was a professional ballet dancer until her mother got sick. She quit in order to take care of her mom but now that her mom is gone, she has a huge amount of debt that needs to be paid off. Dax almost runs over Hannah with his motorcycle and when he looks into her eyes, he is hooked.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

Great quick read... I enjoyed the chemistry between Dax and Hannah. The friendship building between Hannah and Lily. And the innocent flirting from Finn Hardin, Dax younger brother. And you really got to love Samson. A must read. I just couldn't put it down and wanted more...

This is a really good book from a talented author. It is raw, real and deals with protecting those you love during a dangerous time. Lots of emotions flow through the pages and tug at heart strings. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

Cute book
Very cute book. A sassy woman meets a bad boy billionaire and sparks fly. Add in a cute little eight year old and a slobbering dog and you have a great book. I enjoyed reading it and loved the characters.

Pretty Good

I liked the story. It had the potential for 5 stars if it had been longer. It seemed so rushed. Even the epilogue was hurried. I liked both of the main characters but here was no build up before they fell in love. Lily was sweet and I really wanted to see Hannah have it out with Aster.
