The Blackwood Pack saga continues… This is part of an on-going series by Amazon International Bestselling Author, Mary Rundle – catching up on previous titles is advised. Readers of the past books will enjoy meeting old friends once more as the pack does what it does best ̶ caring for one another and helping shifters everywhere.
Hunter always expected to be the next Alpha of the Rolling Hills Pack until he had to walk away, leaving behind his dream, forced to build a new life for himself and his brothers. Arriving with them to visit his cousins at the Blackwood Pack, he never expects to find his mate there, but when he catches his scent, it’s impossible for him to concentrate on anything else, including a secret he has that will change his cousins’ lives.
From the moment Hunter meets Jackson, tempers flare between the two Alphas as their anger builds about secrets both are keeping. Their distrust of each other grows yet they must struggle to find common ground due to their mutual responsibilities toward Hunter’s mate.
Fionn, a rare white dragon, has fought hard for his independence, believing it will protect him from relatives who want to seize his hoard. As a recent member of the Blackwood Pack, he looks forward to sharing the future with his new family. That is, until he realizes he has a mate. Needing time to sort out his feelings, he flees to his hoard, hiding from Hunter who impatiently waits for him.
Together, Fionn and Hunter must put aside past hurts and disappointments as they try to forge a new world for themselves while facing a dangerous threat to Fionn…and to the rest of the Blackwood Pack.
Long-kept secrets, a treacherous attack, an action-packed rescue, and many unexpected twists and turns make this passionate love story by Mary Rundle impossible to put down once you’ve read the first page.
Multiple POV, M/M, Shifters, Fated Mates, MPREG with secondary characters, HEA
A few years ago, I wrote my first book, Dire Warning. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicle the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings. Since then, the pack has expanded, allowing more stories to be told and different paranormals to be included. The series has become, as one reader described it…an “Epic Saga.” Now, twelve books later, Lord Manetu has just been published. I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box. My story ideas come to me as if they were being channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures, and are not reluctant to let it all out when it comes to revealing steamy details. My writing style is free-wheeling and uninhibited and my readers tell me they love it that way; that it makes them feel like they’re right in on the action and a member of the Blackwood Pack. I live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I read a lot (good for the mind) and love gardening (good for the soul). And I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, my private Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, or my website.
This series is one of the best I've ever read. And believe me, I've been reading a very long time. This author has a writing gift. This book, like all the rest in her series, are easy reads, they just flow. Story lines are awesome, especially the gifts they get. Characters are perfect, and again, everything she writes is soooooooo good. I can't out the books down until I'm finished and then I can't wait for the next one. Thank you for such an amazing series!!!!
I love this series by Mary Rundle. And this book is a great addition to the rest of them.
I really love where the main storyline is taking us. And I am not sure if I want to get to the end yet.
I really enjoyed discovering all these new faces and especially Hunter.
I really loved this man and I enjoyed his interactions with the rest of the pack and his brother. It shows how complicated family can be but how amazing as well.
I loved Fionn and Hunter together. There was so much fun, and love and hotness. It was so nice to read.
White Knight is a slower-paced book in that it is less action and more 'fill in the missing pieces.' New characters set in place and other characters moved around a bit. Think I will take a break before reading #9 and on.
Once again, Mary Rundle have taken her Blackwood Pack Series to an even greater level of excitement, intrigue and extraordinary family dynamics. This book is definitely a five star and more in rating. I have drawn out my reading process so not to end such a good book. I recommend all of Mary Rundle books, you will not be disappointed. I am waiting anxiously for the next installment.
This one has the most shocking events yet. I’m so happy for Fionn. I was back and forth with Hunter until things became clearer. Now I’m super impressed. Loved how real the author makes her characters’ emotions, especially what she did with Jackson in this book. Poor Carson. We need more like yesterday please lol. Seriously, I’ve been addicted to this series since Dire Warning and it just keeps getting better.
Another great book by Mary Rundle. Tons going on in this book, it started with the first few pages I felt were missing in book 7 leaving that one flat. Luckily, they created a great start for book 8 which continued strong to the end. I'm starting to think this series could go on for a very long time with the varied characters we've met and the unresolved questions that seem to self-generate. I'm glad this book was back on track and recommend it very highly!
I am enjoying these books, I have no idea where the overall plotline is going, but its kinda fun watching the Blackwood Pack fall like dominos! And waiting to see which really obscure paranormal creature pops up next!
Nick J. Russo’s voice once again held me captive from beginning to end while listening to this story. He manages to use very distinct voices for each of the many characters in this book.
Also, like previous books, Mary Rundle has the most detailed blurb so please read the one for White Knight. For me, I’ve enjoyed listening to this series so much; I’ve not read them with my eyes. I confess that I started listening to them because of Nick J. Russo; I was not familiar with Mary Rundle’s writing. But once I started listening to the series, I quickly understood why The Blackwood Pack series has so many fans.
I loved that this book was Fionn’s love story. He’s a fairly young character and his mate, Hunter, is several years older. Hunter and Fionn both have a bit of trouble accepting each other as mates. Fionn is scared because the relationship between his parents wasn’t good so he’s afraid to take a mate.
Fionn’s uncle is back to cause trouble and there’s also tension between Fionn’s mate, Hunter, and Hunter’s cousins who are in charge of the Blackwood Pack.
This is a wonderfully complex series with many different kinds of shifters, fated mates and some stories contain mpreg. I loved getting to visit with characters from previous books in this series and they played a big part in helping Fionn and Hunter in this book. I’m looking forward to continuing on with this series as it's release in audio format.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author/narrator.
First I'll get one thing out of the way and say that initially I didn't like some of the twists and turns. I should have totally trusted the author though because just wow!!! One just needs to be patient and simply hold on for the ride! There are quite a few new additions to this amazing family which does sometimes make me have to say ok that's who?...mated to who?...with what abilities?... ok right!...moving on ;) Once again, a joy to read and onward to the next story!
I had mixed feelings about this one as Hunter had some anger issues in the first half that seems to magically disappear. Everyone was happy with him even without him apologizing to any of Fionn’s friends for being super rude to them. I did however love the power ups to the Blackwood pack and I really enjoyed most of Hunter’s brothers (the cousins), especially the youngest. He fits in so well with Kai and the bears and the “Love Queens” had such a fun start!
This whole series is absolutely gripping and I couldn't put it down. In this book we meet the cousins and fionn get his mate. The love between all of these characters is just wonderful but the action is exciting too. I can't wait to see what happens next.
All I can say is I’m so glad Mary Rundle is writing! What a huge whirlwind this series is. I’m really looking forward to reading more books in this series! Highly recommended
I loved finally getting the cousins story, cause I’ve been so curious since Jackson got the email. This story had a lot of emotions. I was bawling during chapter 36. I loved Hunter and Fionn together. And I can’t wait to see Carson get his HEA cause he broke my heart too.
White Knight is the 8th book in the truly epic Blackwood Pack series. This book follows the story of Fionn, a white dragon, and Hunter, a wolf shifter. This book is the start of the cousins finding their mates. It continues the story and also has some of the previous characters. The characters are great and have excellent development over the course of the book and series. The series contains different shifters as well as magic, witches and vampires, loads of hurt-comfort, Mpreg, and fated mates. The book is well written, has all the steam and feels and I just couldn't put it down. WOW, just a fantastic series, and looking forward to continuing the journey.
Fionn definitely deserves his HEA!!!! From insecurities to confidence, it's amazing to see his growth. I feel like I have watched him grow up! Mary Rundle knocked it out of the park again!

First...I love this series and Mary Rundle. But...the last couple of books have taken FOREVER for the 2MCs to even meet, not to mention get together. It was after 40% in this one. After they finally did meet in person, this book picked up and I loved it. There are many moving characters/storylines to keep up with so don't miss a book or you'll be lost.
It was absolutely delightful to see Fionn heal from the neglect and abuse that his father caused as he came to accept and welcome Hunter as his mate. This book brought so much hope (pun intended) to the Blackwood Pack and I can't wait to see where we go from here - hopefully Carson will be next...
Mary Rundle's Blackwood Pack is a delightful series about a family wolf pack who find d their rights in either paranormals and when they do, they each receive special gift powers provided to them by the gods. I eagerly await the next story in the series. My thanks to this wonderful author....keep writing this series!!
Once again this author takes us on a fantastic adventure of love, action, drama, angst, laughs, family, and steamy scenes. She added more to over arcing storyline that we all love and I cant wait for the next.
