This is the perfect book for beginning readers. There are few words per page. I LOVE that each page shows rabbit's concern for his friend bear.

* Talking points: Who takes care of you when you are sick. How do you like to be taken care of when you are sick?

** Essential Oil Pairing Tip: doTERRA's OnGuard essential oil blend is the perfect essential oil to diffuse when reading this book. It's also a great oil to diffuse when you are sick or when you are trying to prevent getting sick.

Jack tries to help sick friend Rick in this easy reader. Easy enough for a true begining reader. McPhails's illustrations are as always endearing.

For kindergarten children, I would use this book in the classroom to help children with their sequencing skills and predicting what happens next in the story and teach children about friendship.
