Katrina Hollow eats, sleeps and breathes digital gadgets, so when a family disaster forced her to sell her stash, she’s convinced her life is over. It doesn’t help that her best friend abandons her, her little brother stops talking after a near-death encounter with a snake, and her parents start acting seriously weird. Then, a mysterious girl steps into Kat’s world and her life takes a dramatic new direction: Dragged across a landscape of danger and adventure, she must fend for herself using nothing but her hands, her grit and her will to survive. Armed with rare new skills, will Kat find the courage to bring her battered classmates to safety when catastrophe strikes on a school expedition?
WildKat is an exhilarating read! It is a delightful escape from the technology-ridden reality of today, giving the reader a portal directly into the exciting depths of the jungle. From the first page to the last, I was captivated by Kat's gripping story. It is a fantastic read for teenagers and young adults like myself. I would highly recommend WildKat to any reader seeking adventure!
Honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. It kept me on my toes until the very end. I desperately tried to predict the twists and turns but I was surprised every single time. A book for all ages — I need to read the sequel.
