A basic, straightforward booklet on how to housetrain a dog, whether a puppy or adult. The authors share how factors such as breed size can affect housetraining. I like that they made their points without adding extra fluff pages.

Another great training books with more great ideas. Now, can I get this darn stubborn rescue puppy to FINALLY tell me that she has to go to the bathroom or is she going to vex me for the rest of her life?? Just catching her at the right time works most of the time, but not always. I need a more fail proof plan (that my darn kids will also follow - and there is the tricky part of this conundrum)!

Tiny book you can easily read in one sitting but so valuable. I work at an animal shelter and I wish we could give away a copy of this to everyone who adopts from us! I read it, highlighted it and then took notes so I could share this information with the adoptors that I counsel every day. Recommended for all dog owners.

Straightforward housetraining information -i'm not sure if this qualifies as a book (only reason i'm giving 4 not 5 stars), really more of a brochure but a good reminder for a step by step process of housetraining puppies.

Ok content

Good basic primer but focus is almost entirely on puppies. I was looking for more thoughts on young dogs....like my rescue dog from a farm.

Helpful advice for dog owners

This is sound information. It is well written. I was thrilled that it was short and had summary points at the end. I would recommend this book.

Great Booklet

Short and to the point the tips are invaluable for training a puppy. I was doing it all wrong and the info put me on the right track.

A basic, straightforward booklet on how to housetrain a dog, whether a puppy or adult. The authors share how factors such as breed size can affect housetraining. I like that they made their points without adding extra fluff pages. It was eye-opening--I thought you only had to take a puppy out every 1-2 hours when housetraining. Turns out it can be more frequent than that!

This is what I already new. My puppy should be in one of three places: outside in her potty place, leashed to me or under my direct supervision, or confined where she can't have accidents. That is totally not as easy as it sounds. Sigh.

When I got my dog I knew how to house train a puppy. My dog didn't seem to train that way as he was not a puppy. This book gave me good insight into housetraining dogs of any age. Being a terrier he was stubborn but with the help of this program I got him trained up really well.

I'm sure it's great for those with puppies, but she only has two not very helpful paragraphs about working with a dog who is pottying in her crate. I was hoping for much more!

A short pamphlet on how to housebreak your dog. I'm hoping the techniques given here will work. I have a VERY stubborn Bichon Frise who has forgotten that she was once housebroken!
