Chloe is a hometown girl from Tennessee who loves a great short romance, drinking coffee most of the day, and hanging out with family. When she's not writing, she can be found playing the piano or surfing Facebook! Having been a reader all her life, she's hoping that you'll find yourself lost to time, laughing and falling in love all over again with her books.
This was cute. Theo was basically perfect. Ivy was nice. Donnie was a sweet kid. The ex husband was a blink and you'll miss him. Theo's family drama was just... there, lol. It was odd that Theo and Ivy never used protection considering how fast they moved.
A bit more tell than show and I didn't like the bits about little boys (because little girls never want to get dirty or work with their hands 😕) but a decent read.
Safe Completely... The ex is a non factor, no OW or mentions of Theo's past. Epilogue included.
This was a really sweet and sexy story. This is the story of Theo and Ivy. I really enjoyed both characters. Both were down to earth, nice people. Ivy was trying to get back on her feet after her divorce by moving into a new house in a new town. Theo is hired to fix up her new house that is in desperate need of repair. The attraction between the two is instant! I really enjoyed their journey, I just wish they had a little more conversation or a few more dates before confessing their ILYs. Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. Both non virgins, pasts aren’t mentioned except h has an ex husband and child. No ow drama and h’s ex causes some minor problems. No abuse.
A very sweet and enjoyable read. Ivy is very guarded when it comes to her heart and her son. Her ex really did a number on her so when she buys this run down house to start over, she realizes it needs more work than she can do by herself. Theo who now owns his own construction "handyman" business gets a call from his dad who works for him stating that a new person is in need of his help. When these two meet, there is instant attraction and the chemistry between these two is great. Can Theo prove that he is a man on his word and sneak into Ivy's heart?? This is a very fast, well written read that will put a smile on your face. Enjoy.
The Fix Up follows Ivy, a single mom to son Donnie, and Theo, the local handyman who is hired to help repair her new house. When Ivy gets divorced, she moves to a small town with her son Donnie, the only problem being that their new house needs some repairs so she hires Theo to help her out. Of course, when Theo meets Ivy the attraction is instant, and Theo seems to hit it off with her son Donnie as well. Ivy has been hurt before and not looking for a relationship, but as Theo spends more time around her and Donnie, will she be able to stop her feelings towards Theo from changing? And will Theo be able to convince Ivy to give him a chance?
Ivy a newly divorced single Mom of a 4 yr old rambunctious Donnie just moved to a new town and bought a rundown Plantation Manor. Theo, owner of Mr Fixit Construction, his Dad works part-time answering phones and taking new orders for jobs. Theo gets a call from his Dad sending him to Ivy's to give an estimate. And so the story begins. Easy read Novella, Standalone, HEA The one problem I had with this book and I'm starting to see it as recurring in this author, no condoms being used, Theo didnt even ask Ivy if she was using anything. She's newly divorced she might not be yet. I enjoyed the book otherwise
Sweet, with heat. This was an adorable story about a recently divorced single mom and her handyman. Ivy’s son, Donnie, was a scene-stealer, and he was my absolute favorite character in the book. (There’s a reason show business has the old adage about never working with children…) It was fun to see the additional family drama of Theo’s family business, and I’m hoping that we might get to see a story about his sister in the future. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
I really enjoyed reading this sweet yet steamy romance with a “second chance at love” theme. The story-line is well-written & entertaining with well-developed characters that are quite complex at times & display believable emotional feelings. There is: a divorced single mother (Ivy) & her son (Donnie), a recent bought dilapidated house, a handyman (Theo) who comes to fix the house & falls in love, a despicable cheating ex (Nicolas), drama, attractions, memories, well-meaning deceit, confrontations, discovery, declarations, love, happiness & steamy scenes.
Theo is a handy man in town, Ivy just moved her and her house needs a lot of work.. What she didn’t expect was the handy man to look like Theo. Ivy is just trying to get over her divorce and raise her son the best she can. Theo is such a kind man and so good with her son she cant help but be smitten with him. In the end can Theo not only fix up the house but fix up Ivy and show her real love?
I was a bit unsure of this book at the beginning but the more I read the more I loved it. There was an instant attraction between Theo and Ivy. Also between Theo and Donnie. Theo had to fight Ivy’s broken heart and past to prove his love and loyalty to her. I can’t really say a lot more without giving away spoilers so I’m just going to say read this short story for yourself you will not be disappointed.
I received an arc for an honest review. This was such an enjoyable book. Theo, oh my, great with "his tools." He was so cute with Ivy's son, Donnie. He was more of a father to him than his real father. Ivy was a woman scorned, and as much as she didn't want to start a new relationship, the body and heart knows what it wants. This was a great before bedtime read. I highly recommend it.
Theo owns a construction business and is hired to renovate Ivy`s house. Is will be making it his mission to have her and her son Donnie fall in love with him. Can he help her mend her broken heart and have her believe in love again???? Another fabulous story by Chloe Morgan. I honestly volunteered to review an arc .
this book was really good. You got Mr fix it Theo, who gets called to a job for a recently divorced single mom that has had a lot of things that are going wrong in the new house. SHe has a very inquizative little boy Donnie that you cant help but fall in love with. There are so many things that go on in this book you as a reader are just wisked away into.
This is a sweet romantic story of broken love that’s healed by a good handyman, he fixed her broken pieces, putting her back together and restored her heart. This is a good read with a good storyline with all the right passion and chemistry between the characters. This is a definite recommend!
The Fix Up by Chloe Morgan is a lovely read. captivating, enjoyable, sweet and steamy. well written, lovely characters with plenty of steam,im hooked from start to finish, loved it! another great book by Ms.Morgan, wel done! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book!
You can't go wrong with falling in love with your handyman who happens to be the best guy she'd ever met. He knew from the first moment he saw her that he wanted her and her son. The story of Theo and Ivy is a short book that will have you turning every page until the end.
Insta-love; huge, dominant but sensitive, alpha male; a cute, smart, very active little boy; and a strong, BBW, single parent, trying to start a new life that just needs a little help. What more do you need? Good filler.
This was an adorable quick read about the struggles of a single mom trying to find love again! I swooned over the Theo and Donnie’s relationship. Highly recommended!!
A cute, quick read. Basically love at first sight for Theo, Ivy not so much because she just got out of a nasty divorce and dealing with her ex. Ivy was very guarded due to her ex but Theo was able to break that wall she had down with one hit of his hammer.
I love a sweet short story! This book has a siper sweet woman who's a doting mother and a timid spirit. The handyman with a toolbelt and large hammer for the win!
