"It is not an ordinary job," the Frenchman had told me, "you may have to get your hands a little dirty."
Here I am, Charlie fucking Whitman - still pissed from last night, driving a rental car with two retarded kids in the back, somewhere between Barcelona and Paris.
I used to be an art dealer, I suppose I still am, but now I do bad things for good money.
Everything has its price, and I think I've just found mine.
"An obscenely comic tale." "Sickeningly surreal." "So gross I couldn't finish it." "Books don't come much darker than this."

Stunning ! Grotesque is such a apt title . Parts were difficult to read however utterly gripping . No doubt there are parts of this tale that will be too much for many. Defo buyer beware !
This one was a bit of a surprise. I figured it was going to be a bit, well…disgusting, since it said so on the cover, but I did not plan on it being as intelligent it was at times. And it was definitely disgusting.
There were some of the rudest and most disgusting quotables scattered throughout this one. My wife really enjoyed me laughing and relaying them to her. Ok, maybe not. She’s pretty terrified of the stuff I read in general, so I probably should have just kept quiet.

I’m not entirely sure how I ran across this one, but I enjoyed it. Written well with an underlaying story thread that unfortunately got lost a bit under the gross. Still managed to work for me somehow. 3.5 Stars bumped up to 4 because I said so.
I dont even know how to describe this book. Read it on a recommendation from a friend. Its unlike anything you will ever read. I wanted to put it down at some points but then you kind of get to like the main character and really want to see where the storyline takes him. It's an utterly disgusting book but in a good way. Parts of it where very philosophical and really had me thinking. Would highly recommend this book and support self published authors. Looking forward to reading more books like this in the future
Grotesque, by name , by nature. Simply astonished by the context this was written. Charlie is by perversion a master with a simple soft side hidden and crawling to the surface when coming across his young charges whom he previously had no knowledge of before his summons to his employer. The plot get thicker and dirtier as he meets his love, his artist ....
