Lies, deceit and manipulation.
A game Alexander White knows only too well, but never has he been on the receiving end with such devastating results. Thankfully he knows it all now because she’s shown her true colours and he won’t be fooled by them again. No matter how perfect she may have been, or how close to love he may have come, Elizabeth Scott and her treachery are now nothing more than yet another move in the chessboard of life.
His business, as always, is more important than his worthless emotions and the storm brewing needs attending to. So after he’s pushed her out of his system, after he’s found his way back to the dull uninteresting type of emotion he’s used to he’ll deal with it.
In the only way he knows how.

Beth Scotts life is upside down. She was a mess. She still is a mess.
But now she’s just starting to get irritated about her mess.
How could he do this to her? And how could she have let him?
Alexander White has a lot to answer for but she won’t be one of those stupid girls any longer. She has a two week rule and it’s about time to get on with it. She just needs a distraction, someone or something to remove the pain and help her find a way forward without him.
If his twisted game has taught her one thing it’s to hold her head up and ask for what she wants.
So if she can just keep those thoughts running through her head, and embrace what she now needs, she should be fine shouldn’t she?
She should be able to deal with everything.
She still has no idea what the hell she’s doing.

Wow!, Miss Hart has done it again, what an emotional rollercoaster Feeling White was.
Man, every emotion I'm capable of I think I experienced while reading this story.
I definitely have emotional whiplash from Alex's multiple personalities.

I'm feeling so empathetic towards Beth and her ability to deal with whatever shit-storm Alex throws in her direction.
My appreciation for her patience and fortitude has reached epic heights as Feeling White throws curveballs and shocking twists her way.
I really don't want to spoil this for anyone, so won't be sharing any major spoilers, the best way to describe this journey that I can impart to you is that Feeling White really does delve into our two lovers souls, slowly uncovering their true selves, sometimes in a heartbreaking fashion.
We really get to see beneath the mask, especially in regards to Alex and his tragic and violent past.
Beth is about to experience Alex and what he is capable off on a whole new level.
Luckily she has grown so much stronger mentally and she will need all this new found toughness to deal with the massive pile of baggage that accompanies him.
In this instalment, I really felt able to connect to our characters on such a deep level.
I took so many highlights I lost count and then OMG!!! that ending was so not expecting that!!!
WTFH happened here ALEX!!! you are such a DICK!!!

I have no idea why I still adore you, but I do, can't help it sigh.
Your methods of education leave a lot to be desired, haven't you heard of just talking it out Mr White? Geez.
good job I love you, regardless of your head games.
I also noted that Bella, Beth's sister was a lot less irritating in this, softer in herself, I think it's Conner we have to thank for that transformation.
So thank-you Mr Blue.
So Buckle up and enjoy all that is Feeling White, I know I did, This was my third book by Charlotte Hart and she always leaves me wanting more.

The trilogy follows the usual abused child turned rich CEO with weird control issues [his are choking others] and substance abuse [though at least Grey never had the last problem] who meets woman who is suddenly head over heels bla bla bla. They get together, they break apart, they get together, she tries to fix him by changing herself, etc.

At around 40% the book changed. I am worried the author might have had a mental breakdown because it went batshit insane.

He kills someone. So with Sylvia Day's book there was an actual continued stalking and serious danger [not that I ever condone death][interesting blogpost on this btw], but in this case it was punitive, calculated, and for pleasure. It goes a bit like this:

- Assault and drama. She can't call police as main character went batshit insane and beat him to a pulp and she knew he'd end up arrested. All events are entirely surrounding him despite the fact SHE was assaulted.
- Going home, waking up the next morning.
- Lovely moment in the garden between them.
- Day later he drives out to where some guy he employs has held him. There's also a cleanup crew and acid. Then follows tedious internal monologue.
He watched his boots get dustier as he continued his descent and mentally chastised himself for not bringing shoe polish with him. Christ, he’d bet his life on the fact that Jacobs would have some. Shit,  business had made him forget all those little details that had kept him from being found out before. He’d perfected the art years ago but now he was a fucking softy in comparison to the way he was when this was his life, when his every waking moment was based on who needed what from him and how much he had to inflict to get the information required or shut someone up completely.

His own choice of amusement had been firmly rooted in someone’s sense of fear, of what could happen before it inevitably did. It still was really. He’d spent plenty of time taunting, torturing and goading to get whatever he needed from them before he did what he was paid to do.

Wait, what? He is/was a contract killer? What?
He was only still breathing because Alex had been more concerned about getting Elizabeth to safety and away from what she’d watched him unleash. Her look of disgust had been firmly implanted at the time she’d thrown it at him and he could still feel it now, burrowing under his skin, making him feel something other than the nothing he normally felt in these situations.

Definitely sounds like he's killed many before..
So then follow a couple pages of beating him and some inane conversation about 'why did you think you could do this to MY girlfriend' etc before:
He narrowed his eyes at the man rolling around in the dirt. He probably should but the fact was he didn’t have the enthusiasm for the fun of it anymore. He loved her and just wanted the man to pay for his idiotic behaviour. He didn’t care if the idiot learnt a lesson or not because he wouldn’t be around to change the way he acted, and therefore his opinion didn’t matter in the slightest.

Alex stared for six of those minutes as he listened to the man start the begging process and clamber up to his knees again, as best he could with the damage there. They all did that, begged for their lives as if it would make a difference to him somehow. It never did so he just gazed at the stuttering fool.

Cue a page of beating him whilst some bizarre inner monologue is happening. 'This is me' and 'I love her' and 'this is what people who love do' and 'omg I care about someone so this is clearly what I was meant to do'.
When he thought he’d done a thorough enough job of ending the man’s existence, he watched the jerky movements of the body impassively as the residual movement of damaged nerves finally gave up their fight for life as well. He pushed his own boot onto the corpse’s chest hard and heard the whoosh of air leave the fucker’s lips for the last time with a sneer as those dead eyes stared back lifelessly. He tilted his head at the figure and tried to find a sense of shame in himself, or maybe remorse of some sort, but there was nothing again, just silence and the echo of his own breathing in the cold space around them. Disgusted with the lifeless form, he drew in a long breath and cracked his neck back into place while circling his shoulder about. He really was getting too old for this shit. He’d said he’d never do that again. But then he’d never loved before, never loved her before, and whether she liked it or not, he’d kill for her. He just had and he’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Then he muses about how to clean his boots and how he didn't wear his suit because: “Can’t get the blood out of Saville Row.”

The rest of the book covers:
- Multiple sex club trips
- Main character asking her repeatedly to have sex with his friend [??] which she spent ages internally monolguing over 'but I don't wanna' and 'but he's kinda hot' and 'I wonder what those hands feel like on me' and 'but Alex will get jealous so I can't'.
- The actual sex with his friend thing happening. I think. I don't know, I skipped a lot.
- “I killed two men on that day - one with a knife, the other with my hands.”
- Him kidnapping her on his plane.
- London Mafia...
- And general creepy obsession.

However, this book was brilliant because it's so mad. It's obviously fanfiction of fanfiction of a teen series, but it really goes above and beyond its remit to the unknown. I have high, high hopes that this will be the one - the one series where they DON'T end up married with kids at the end. The one where he'll be dead or, even better, in prison. Please don't let me down, Charlotte E. Hart.

This is a monster of a book! Not only in volume but also content. It will take all of your concentration, all of your stamina and quite a bit of patience.
I admit, I struggled to get into it to start with...I was thinking it was because I'd got such high expectations after the brilliance of Seeing White but, with a lot of perseverance, I think it because this is a heavier read.
The opening chapter had me stumped for a while, I couldn't get my head around the fact it was Conner talking.
Mr White is as infuriating yet as swoon worthy as ever. He drags us into his dark world, making you hate him just as much as you feel you need to love him.
Beth is a phenomenon in this book. I love her new found attempt at dominance, her feisty, take no crap attitude. I also love her relationship with Mr VDB and the way CEH has brought them together through their mutual love of Alex.
There are a number of places this book could go, hints have been put down and feelers are out. There's tension and eroticism abound.
Book 3 should be a belter!

OMFG

Alexander White isn’t known to be wrong – but he has misread a situation with his Elizabeth that has devastating consequences for them both. Alex travels to New York to escape the situation in London and Beth. He thinks her just another conniving whore until Connor comes to his side as usual to aid his friend.
Elizabeth is now hating the man who up and left her with a note… how could he do this to her so brutally and coldly with o real explanation. Confused, she needs to carry on with her life and wants someone to help her with her newly awakened desires. Could the enthralling Pascale be the answer? And how will Alexander react to that?
When Alex comes back to Beth she has a new game plan that includes standing up to Mr. White yet embracing the darker side of herself. But will Alex’s darkest secrets drive them apart yet again? How can any love survive the moods of the sadist that is Mr. White?
This series has me diving for the next book – so well written and enthralling! Never want this to end!

Wow, this book gives you A LOT!!! A LOT to read, no novella here...and a ton to digest. This was definitely a heavier read...tons more going on, relationships tested. We start out with a bang. I loved the fact that Conner sided with Belle and went after Alex and made him see the error of his ways! (of course I LOVE Conner <3 blue hair and all ).
Feeling White can't be rushed. There are quite simply too many twists, turns, secrets, pain, shadows QUESTIONS!!!!
MMM naughty Pascal...
Beth finding her inner Bitch! Being strong...stronger than she's ever had to be.
What about the pole scene...OH my...from smoking hot and intense to unbelievable and intense in an entirely different way.
From Alex letting her into his heart to just one issue after another...we get the whole gamut of FEELINGS here!
Loved this story just as much as the first, but for wholly different reasons. Can't wait to crack open Absorbing!

Book 2 ramps up much faster than book 1 as you navigate through all the twists and games that play out in this installment
This is a suspenseful dark romance that does have an edge and I found myself begging to find out what happens next.
The secondary characters are still engaging and you are getting bits and pieces of each of their stories - Connor and Belle, Theresa, Michael…and Pascal….(DAMN that man! He just gets better in each installment)
This story is written in British English and I only mention it as there are a plethora of British slang words In the book (arse….taking the piss out of you) however it is not so heavy with slang that I had to keep urban dictionary out as my best friend throughout the read.
Still highly recommending the series!

First of all, this is a rating of all 3 books.
I already read the whole series and am not dissecting my view of the complete story.
I have a hard time reviewing this series as it is. And apologies in advance for the long but hopefully not to confusing review.

It is well written, the storyline is good and i enjoyed this dark erotic romance.

Besides the plot is really nothing new. For me it appeared to be just a darker, rawer and more complex version of "50 shades of grey".
There are also a lot of parallels to the book "This man" from Jodi Ellen Malpes and other top books in this genre. It is not really a bad thing. There were a few moments in this series where i was relegated to memories of these other books, remembering, but in a good way.

We have a hero, mentally and physically abused as a child. Inability to deal with and therefore suppressed emotions, turning into a control needing alpha. He has more than sadistic tendencies. Of course he is bloody beautiful and rich.

We have the naive, shy and good hearted heroine. Of course she is bloody beautiful and of course not aware of it. Mixed in with some cool friends and a passion for cooking.

The story evolves around the relationship between Alexander White and Elizabeth with a strong sexual focus as the plot unfolds and is in some aspects well thought through but in others lacking for my taste. The slow and mature introduction into his sexual preferences is very appealing. But at some point it drags a little as the relationship gets more intimate and develops, with his inability to emotionally connect and her journey to embrace life and get out of her shell.

The emotional components were sometimes described over the top and endlessly.
The sex scenes were sometimes very confusing to imagine in a physical matter. I found myself often thinking, there should be no room, or wasn't she not pressed to the wall from the other side. Well, anyway. The descriptions sometimes just were confusing. The surroundings were at times described in detail were i would not have needed it. And lacked when i was interested in what is going on around. Like in some clubs.

The personalities were complex and intriguing. But i found both personalities at varying points in the story not very well thought through Or at least not very well developed for me as a reader to comprehend some drastic changes at this point in the story.
For example:
His change to embrace his full sadistic and controlling alpha self. By finally revealing all of himself, he did a one-eighty and it appeared that the Mr. White we got to know before never existed anymore afterwards.

Her strong tendencies to be a pain-slut, where did that come from? Her strong attraction to Pascal, were did that come from? I did not even see that coming? Her self-abandonment and fully devotion to his needs, were did that come from? Either the characters or me as a reader were not prepared well enough by the author in the progress and development of the book so far, to comprehend that. She did not appear to me nor was there given any sufficient background of a history to her upbringing to indicate such personality.
For example: the first meeting and introduction of Pascal. When i think of the heroine and her everyday good girl personality at this point. Who then in the bloody world would stand transfixed and enamored by a man, in front of a nightclub, who has not one minute ago kicked another man to the curb and peed on him in front of me and is now kissing his way from my hand up to my neck? While additionally i might add, the otherworldly most beautiful man i am with, stands next to me?
This is just idiotic for me, i am sorry. I couldn't comprehend that one bit.

But maybe all of this comes down to one major issue i had with this book. And the more i think of it, it makes sense.
On the one hand we have depth. Complex, intriguing and dark personalities. Their first meeting, their first emotional and physical attraction. Their struggles to bond and grow with each other. The psychological struggles and developments.

And then on the other hand, throughout the whole series it always ends up or comes down to one thing. How bloody beautiful this people look like. The superficial point of view that erases all real and authentic aspects for me.
The physical descriptions of how beautiful, knee buckling and drool worth the people look is ridiculously detailed and repetitive. This over the top and repetitive focus on the physical, otherworldly beauty of people turns at one point actually to be pathetic and annoying, it subtracts from the quality and intellect of this book enormously.
This glorification and worshipping of how people look, appeared also sometimes at critical points in their relationship, to give him/her everything they want. And that is never a good enough reason.

Then there were some inconsistencies. Strands of the plot were just thrown out, but never picked up again. Like his visit with a psychologist. His family, the aunt side and his fathers side. Thrown in, never heard of it again. Left in the open, unfinished and never included in the plot anymore.
I also found it very hard to accept, he was molded by his fathers abuse. Therefore emotional crippled. He ended up struggling to find an outlet for all his hurt and rage as an addict in sex and drugs, as well as a hitman and then puff Pascal decides the best outlet and balance for him is embracing and flourishing his sadistic sexual tendencies. It just felt like he never had an actual say in it at all.

The end left me more than unsatisfied.

And as i was intrigued to those 3 in a trio relationship and their progress and what they would become, i am not really inclined to read about Pascal and a new main character. That defeats the whole purpose for me.

I liked the first book but this one? I just wanted it to be over. I can't even describe what I was feeling. I wanted to throttle the heroine for all the giggling, arses and sodding I've read from her inner monologue. It's british, I know. But i haven't felt that irritated from reading harry potter.

And I was getting pissed at Alex's pushing that she sleep with Pascal while feeling a little possessive. And Beth can't decide what she wants. When she texted Pascal to not meet her friend since she was a little jealous, I wanted to slap her. I CAN'T STAND ANY FORM OF CHEATING even if with permission.

I skipped so many chapters until I've read the last page thinking that maybe-- MAYBE --- book three will be better.... NOT!!!

Book two continues right where book one left off. Things blown out of proportion, accusations, love can be such a mess.....we delve deeper into what makes Alexander the way he is. Elizabeth tries to move on.....but neither one can let go of the other. The sex scenes are dark, hot and sweaty to say the least and what is up with the teaspoon!

Feeling White is the second book in The White Trilogy and continues Alexander and Beth's story where Seeing White left us. It obviously goes without saying that you will need to read the first book before this one.
This is a big book at almost 600 pages in length and I have to say that the author did an incredible job at holding my attention and progressing the story. Now I must admit there was one point where I lost concentration, but the author quickly brought me back to the book and if I had stopped I would have missed out on some amazing scenes that had me gripped and unable to put my kindle down.

I am actually loving this series. I will say there are some similarities to other best selling book series but that doesn't bother me at all because the characters and the storyline in The White Trilogy are fabulous. It has been an absolute pleasure to see the development and changes in both Alex and Beth, plus Belle and Conner too. I think Beth is incredible, and when you look back to when we first met her and see the individual that she is today, then I'd say she is one strong lady who has adapted to a life she would never have thought she'd be a part of, and absolutely loves her man.

As I head straight in to the final book, I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next and learning the consequences of what is about to be revealed (there will be some I'm sure!). There are lots of questions buzzing around in my head that need answering, and I feel the author has set the scene for book three to be as equally enthralling as the first two.

I would definitely recommend this book for you to read and I award this book a solid 4.5 stars.

I love this series !!! Soo many story lines ... can’t lose focus. There’s Belle and Connor love story, poor third wheel Theresa, an almost rape that seems to not bother anyone, cancer, James, a long lost sister, a murder, it’s hard to keep up with it all but I did because of the writing ! Love Alex and Beth ... she’s one tough cookie.

So a few things bothered me.
1. An almost rape and then she all cool about it because it’s just “almost” happens
2. He had an orgy in New York ! She questioned him once about it and he just changed the subject.
3. Any time something happened and she was going to tell him she got “distracted”. (Like I bumped into Henry and I think something is wrong) or the Aiden situation.
4. Why did she run when she saw Pascal on the floor.. maybe I’m picturing it wrong in my mind, but it didn’t sound as bad as it was described. He also told her he’s bowed to him before.
5. Connor’s hair.
6. Having to have some of the British slang translated. Lol. I had to look up some term that meant their first fight. I don’t remember. They say “Quite” sooo many times.

Ok 3rd book here we come. 👍

I am so sad and mad about this book. The first one was brilliant, really brilliant and this one is super well written too. I've read tons of alpha male books and enjoyed them. But I can't stand cheating and abusive behavior, it's not ok with me, and I don't like when the hero doesn't change and the heroine is so naive and forgive crazy shit. In the first book, I wanted to slap Alex more than once but in this book OMG, I wanted to rip his balls off. The pressure he put on her to make her sleep with Pascal? Alex having romantic feelings for him? The cheating with EIGHT women? and it's ok just bc he "made a mistake"? The constant pushing and explotions, he retaining her against her will.
It's not for me.
Sadly went to see the 3rd book reviews, just in case it gets better and there is a way out of this but no, there is more cheating, this time in front of Beth's eyes, when she is most vulnerable and can't escape the situation.
The only reason I am writing this review is bc If I've known this I never started the saga at all.
If you are ok with cheating and no HEA, you will enjoy this book. The author is great, just not my kind of story

592 pages in 24 hours to say this series has captivated me would be an understatement, I’ve lost so much sleep not managed to do anything except read. it’s everything and more, literary has you on the edge of my seat . I’ve not wanted certain things to happen (pascal) but understood when he caught her and explained, I knew what Alex had done and now at the end of book 2 I’m thinking where else can book 3 take us

Honestly I haven’t read anything like this since 50 shades nothing has come close. This is right up there as one of my favourite erotica/bdsm series

Now can I read 1 chapter of book 3 and get a decent nights sleep as I have work tomorrow.... probably not oh well who needs sleep anyway lol

I never read 50 Shades of Gray, so I can't comment on the similarities. The actual writing was decent although the author definitely has some words and phrases she uses too often.

Like the first book, there were way too many scenes of Alexander pondering if he was too damaged for Beth, and if he would corrupt her too much, as well as too many scenes of Beth calling on her "inner slut" and calling herself stupid. The end was another cliffhanger so I'll skim the last book to see how the various plots resolve themselves.

A page turner

Although I enjoyed this book gave it 4 stars, there was also a lot I didn't like.
I felt the story was too long and the reason I said it was a page turner is because that was what I was doing to skip the drawn out parts. It just felt too padded out IMO. There were also lots of grammatical errors which were also prevalent in the first book of the series, but having said all that, I still loved the story and can't wait to start on book 3 to see how the story concludes.

Absolutely Extraordinary

I haven’t put the first book or second one down and I’m about to start the third one. The author literally takes you on a true roller coaster ride of “LIFE”; love, stability versus instability, need versus want, passion, explosive lust driven sex, etc. The main characters will damn near have you literally shouting throughout each chapter for something, anything just to stay on the ride. I promise you the first and second book will have you purchasing the third one before you actually finish the first one. An absolute page turner.

Feeling White (The White Trilogy Book 2) by Charlotte E Hart

CHARLOTTE! What are you doing to me!! This story is really pushing all my emotions. I want Beth to leave Alex NOW!! She needs to slap his face hard & walk out if his life. How can he come back from this & how could she forgive him. I really hope she doesn’t. Now I’m going to have to jump straight into the third book Absorbing White. I hope Beth makes Alex pay for what he is doing to her. This story is amazing. You are an amazing writer Charlotte.
