The Anomaly #3

Ashen Feathers

Rate this book
Sharpened Edges. Spilled Lifeblood. Avenging Magics.

My name is Everly Banks, assassin, creator, and loner. Or I was, until four hunters pushed their way into my life. Add in a cursed goat, sassy fox, and stubborn witch, and I have a whole circus following me.

That's the least of my problems though. I have promises to keep and enemies to slaughter. Two innocents are caught in the center of a battle that I failed to finish long ago. I won't let them pay for my mistakes.

We will have to rescue them while dodging a bounty on my head and preparing for war. As if that wasn't enough, whispers of my past are colliding with my present, and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to handle them.

Unfortunately, life isn't waiting on me to get myself together. My own personal hell is coming whether I like it or not. But it's not only my future at stake if I lose. My nightmare has come to haunt me, and if he succeeds, the world will be forced to fall at his feet.

So, if you're unlucky enough to see the clash between the creator and the destroyer, look for me beneath the falling ashen feathers. I'll be the one who duct taped herself back together again.

This trilogy took me by surprise, i didnt expect to love it as much as i do.

Everly is one of my favourite heroines. She's snarky, a real badass, vulnerable, a protector, has a foul mouth, has her priorities straight when it comes to play time and when work needs to be done, and beneath her cracked and broken heart, the capability to love fiercely be it human or animal.

Torin and his grumpy ass had me in tears laughing everytime there was something from his pov.

Also enjoyed Ember's pov. I absolutely loved all the characters.

There was heart break, some mild betrayal, a touch a steamy moments but overall this book was perfection to me.

Everything wrapped up neatly and enjoyed the epilogues. I feel sad that it done but i think a trilogy is the prefect length.

Simply amazing 💙💙💙

A emotional rollercoaster of a series full of action, laughs and plenty of emotion. I couldnt love these characters more. Loved Everly and how strong she is and her guys - Ren, Torin, Dixin & Ko and how loyal they are to her. Willy, Cassie and Ember who were a constant stream of laughs. So sad to see the end of this series but im glad all the loose ends were tied up. Just wanna know what happens with Cassie & Willy?? Just Loved It

Amazing way to end this series! I loved all three books, but what I loved most about this one was how you get to experience all four men with Everly. Then to top it off your fierce MC learns more about the powers she contains. I enjoyed Willy the stabby goat however in this book his real demon appears, all while that little spicy fox keeps toying with him lol. I absolutely loved all the characters and was sad the series ended but I can’t wait to see what Aster North comes up with next!

Great Series

I really enjoyed this series. My favorite aspect was the characters, especially Everly. I am a huge fan of powerful, vengeful yet compassionate protagonists. The plot was also intriguing and the action was fun. The only critiques I have were small things like having more information about some of the characters and getting an epilogue a bit further in the future. The main conflict felt resolved but there were some things that did not such as did the guys continue to work for the council or quit? Was Torin's father benign or not as was insinuated? Other small questions like that. Overall, I really enjoyed this series and would recommend it.

Enjoyed the series..

But I don't feel like Everlys story is done, I need more! I am curious to see what else the author releases to see if it overlaps at all.

The first book of this series was so wonderful - it had it all: great FMC, promising backstory, good pacing, interesting men, action, magic. But book two was nothing like the first and this final book was just as bad, if not worse. Maybe if the final 2 books were combined into a more streamlined story, but I doubt it.
The worst part of this is that an important story arc was hinted at in book 1, mostly ignored in book 2, and just skimmed at in book 3 I think in preparation for another series spin-off. Unfortunately that, along with just some not well thought out pieces of the story just left me feeling distressed that such a promising book 1 led to this disastrous ending.

I liked the plot and the universe of this series and I liked the main cast of characters. I would have only wished if we got more of the backstories, like where she is actually from, who are her people, more of her siblings and more of Ko's and Ren's life (we know Ko's and orphan and that Ren has a huge family, but that's it).
I liked the books, I liked the cast, I just wish there was more to it.

The Anomaly series

This was the best ending I love a strong FMC and that is excalty what Everly/Artemis the creator is and the hunters don't get me started on them if you love a strong FMC that takes no s*** and her hunters throw in a cursed man/goat a witchy bestfriend and a fox familiar it's going to be so hard for me to find another series after this one

Absolutely loved this series!!!

I think the only thing that would have made it better was if the guys were actually Everly's Mates and find out that she could finally have babies. That part made me sad. I also wanted to know more about her past, but hopefully when the series regarding her sister comes out we'll have some awesome surprises with a crossover. Finger's crossed!!!

needs more to be complete

Enjoyed the story, but agree with another reviewer that the ending didn’t tie up all the lose ends. I want to know why Willy was important, what’s going on with Cassie’s voices, also more about what Richard was even doing, what happened with the council, the guys. Just didn’t feel like enough was answered.

Ashen feathers

A wonderful conclusion to this hilarious, action packed story. I loved the inclusion of the animals in battles, just made it do much better. I'd have loved to see her have babies eventually in an short addition story.

Dud ending

This book was going well right up until the ending. There are so many new questions and the author says it’s the end of Everly’s arc. This makes absolutely no sense. The ending ruins the whole book.

The series is complete!! I am sad to see this series end. This was an AMAZING story. Ashen Feathers was one heck of an emotional ride. I cried, laughed and literally white knuckled my kindle during the intense moments.

Everly and the guys are at it again. Surprise Willy is still with the gang. Poor dude, though he has made a mess of a few things and learns the hard way from Everly. Then, there is Ember (who made her appearance in Blazing Petals) who is just too cute and funny. More important what is she to Everly? So now we are in the final stretch and it is life and death situations! These situations make Everly take a step back and re-evaluate the people around her. What will she do? Will she allow them to help her take Richard down once and for all? Will the Council finally stop looking for her? What will happen afterwards for everyone?

I am telling you that this series is nail biting, intense, explosive chemistry and emotional. This series has it all and the ending is a happy one.

What a book! So fast paced and so much happens and I am loving it hard!!!! The author keeps making me love her more with each book.
The author is developing the characters and deepens their relationships as the story continues toward the resolution. The character growth is beautiful as are all the emotions in the book. And the story itself is epic.
There is one harsh scene in a small town with some narrow minded people full of hate who needed to be taught a lesson in humanity and I absolutely love the author for taking her time to address this issue.
The story is full of suspense and unexpected twists and turns and I had no clue what was going to happen. It was one superexciting ride with an epic ending. The best part is that the author announces related series which i am looking forward to reading.
Books only make sense if read in order. The reading order is: Twisted Flames (The Anomaly Series Book 1), Blazing Petals (The Anomaly Series Book 2), and Ashen Feathers (The Anomaly Series Book 3).

Oh my, where to even begin? I have loved this series since day one. It was so bittersweet to finish Ashen Feathers because I just wasn’t ready to let go of these characters. Everly kicks so much tush! I have always loved her fierceness - both on the battlefield and in the way she takes care of others. She’s not one to do things half-assed. I love that we get to see a more vulnerable side to her, the horrors that she’s been through literally had me in tears. For her to go through those things and yet still care do passionately about others is amazing.
AND We finally get to see what she can really do and let me tell you, it is epic!

It’s filled with sexy men, tons of action, a really awesome heroine and a few twists and turns along the way. This book does NOT disappoint!

Thank you for such a fantastic series! I’ve loved every minute of it ❤️.

Oh my god. I can't believe i have just finished reading the final book in this series! I have loved Everlys story from the beginning. I have loved finding out about the world that she lives in. Aster has done an amazing job at creating this world.
Everly has had such an amazing life. Not all of it good, most of it lonely, The stories she could tell. she is an amazing character. Her life now, is something she wants to live for. surrounded by those she loves she must fight to have the life she wants, without those who wish her harm.
This has been a wild ride since book one. This is definitely a series worth reading. I cannot wait to read more in this world and find out more from those characters new and old. Well done Aster!

This ending was more than I could have hoped for. We see such a different side of Everly. It was definitely something I didn’t know that I needed. It was heartbreaking to hear the story of how she was treated when she was captured by Richard. However, it was so uplifting to see her face her fears and tell her guys about the worst days of her life. She is so strong. Not only physically but mentally as well. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. Seeing Everly face some of her greatest fears and come out stronger on the other side was so empowering. This series was everything!

Aster North is a genius and I highly recommend this series! What are you waiting for? Read it now!

Reverse Harem Paranormal

This is the final book in the Trilogy. Everly has so much to accomplish and so little time to do it. Rescue Willy's children, find and kill the witch, turn Willy into a man ( sor,t of), find and kill Richard. She is totally badass and I am her best cheerleader. I want a HEA for her and her harem. I reccomend you read the final chapters and find out if Everly is strong enough. Magic is in the air. Enjoy. I know I did.

I loved the story and character development of Everly and her hunters from the first book to this one, the last. I loved how everything wasn't wrapped up immediately and that there were many more side stories that need to play out before we got to the heart of Everly's story. I can't wait to see where the new character plots go with future books in the same universe.

Ive loved every minute entering this magical literary world I’ve loved going on Everlys journey with her going through her hardest and heartbreaking times as she faces her fears and comes out on top to where she is today a strong, female who has embraced who she is. I've been in love with this series from the beginning. Everly is such an amazing character with so many layers. I'm sad to see the series go, but the ride was amazing and worth it. I'm so happy with the way things ended and I am so happy for Everly. She grew so MUCH! Also, can I just say that I need more Willy in my life? I mean... come on. He's the best 🤣.

So I feel like this could have been a ten chapter book. One to recap, two or three for Willy turning into a real boy and the remainder for the battle royal. While I like the plot of the story I spent the majority of the book going 'blah, blah, blah' in my head as I was reading. It just felt like it was dragging. Will have to see about future books.

Amazing but felt incomplete

So much to say about this story, but when finally getting to the end it was very anticlimactic and left you with more questions than anything. Feels like a cliffhanger but not. Something just out of order and unexplained. It was a great book I'm just left very confused and unsatisfied.

Amazing

So wonderfully written. The characters were perfect. Each emotion was drawn out with great words and actions. Perfect amount of sass and humility even coming from a Goddess. I can't wait to get more from this wonderful author.

Fantastic Series

Every was very relatable and I enjoyed the practical jokes between the serious scenes. It was quite a mix of characters and I enjoyed the way they interacted. The story kept me hanging on long past when I should have been sleeping.

What a ride. Such an awesome story. I love how strong Everly is. She proves that she can stand on her own but she chooses not to and accepts the guys. Loved it!
