About the author

I live in a small town in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.

I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.

OK I liked the storyline ... and the fun fact that an old man can meet an amazing older woman and come to find Love.. I can't say it was a great read but was a good story .. if I could do halves I would have given this book 3 and a half stars.. just for the storyline alone ... I liked it but was far from a Loving it ... If you the reader should decide to read keep in mind the author KJDahlen is awesome at storylines ...

Silas and Midge shakes things up in this exciting story. Silas comes home to his ranch to be held at gun point by a feisty woman who claims that it belongs to her grandson. Her antics along with Silas cantankerous attitude will draw you deeply into this one. When Midge tells her grandson about what really happens to his brother and grandfather, the MC rolls into action to right the wrongs but can they keep Midge out of trouble long enough to get to the bottom of things?

WOW! WOW! WOW!💙💙💙 I freaking loved this book! Silas and Midge are a force to be reckoned with and a match made in heaven! They show you that your never to old to cause some ruckus and kick some a$$! Also that sometimes you need to listen to your elders! 😂😂😂

What a great story! Silas is a rock star! And Midge a real bada**!
Together they make a great team. Gives us oldies hope!! The way they set their families in line is awesome. What a great message about love, family and putting the bad guys in line! All of K.J.'s books are great!
