With her little sister off to college and her powers all over the map, Noelle's struggling to find her footing. When her friends decide to treat her to a relaxing, fun-filled weekend of camping, truck pulls, and grilled food, she's all in. Just when it appears as if her friend Sarah has the mud bogging contest buttoned down, her main competitor turns up dead right after accusing Sarah of cheating. With Sarah accused of murder, a magical object demanding her attention, and her friends leaning on her to move her relationship forward, Noelle's gonna need a vacation from her vacation - IF she can survive with her sanity intact.
I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I've always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book.
When I was a little girl, I didn't want to grow up to be a writer—I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, humor, and romance.
I live in Florida with my two dogs and when I'm not writing or reading, I'm racing motorcycles with my taller, more handsome half, hanging out at the beach, or binge-watching anything magical on Netflix.
I'm eternally grateful for all the people who help make my life what is today - friends, readers, family. No woman is an island.

I absolutely love this author's work and series!😍 I really love all the characters in the keyhole lake series. The ending made me smile and I loved how everything is coming together for everyone. Anna Mae, Gabi, Will, RaeAnn, and of course Hunter & Noel made the ending of this book amazing! I am so happy about how things are coming together for all of them.😊💖 Can't wait for the next installment!
Lots of new beginnings in this episode and some tie-ups of previous events. Overall, very good.
One really off thing: Somewhere in the main mystery some of the details went AWOL and I found myself reading allusions to conversations that were not actually in the book. It's like Tegan Maher somehow left a whole section out of the narrative.
A few of the same inconsistencies I've seen before (names spelled differently on different pages, e.g. "Addy" and "Addie," misremembered events from previous stories, etc.). Tegan needs help with continuity and proofreading!
Otherwise, a decent story and now I have to go catch up with Shelby in HER books!
A perfectly reasonable continuation of the series.
I wasn't sure if Shelby, et al, being going to college (and their own series...) would throw off the chemistry. But it worked. Shelby does make a dramatic appearance at the end.
The murder mystery was rather lackluster. But they often are in this series -- the murder is just there to move people along whereas the real progressions are in the lives of Noelle and friends.
There was an entire subplot that just sort of faded away. Which was rather weird. Like the author needed a subplot to fill in some number of words and then could be dropped without resolution.
Noelle's powers were inconsistently described. One witch could sense Noelle prying and told her to stop. Then Camille told her that she could not sense Noelle at all.
I think editing needs to be tightened down. But a fun read.
I enjoyed this a lot but some holes were left. I don't give spoilers or rundown in my reviews cause you get that off the covers but I will say there are some inconsistencies. First, Erol had said he was the oldest of his siblings in the last book. His brother briefly shows up (more on that in a sec) & he says Erik is his baby brother. Then, that's pretty much it. They tell you what she's going to do about the issue with Erol's brother but it doesn't happen in the book. It would be nice to have that all finished. Secondly, the stolen money is said to be $30,000 but when Noelle immediately calls Hunter she says $20,000. How was that missed?! Otherwise, it was a good addition to the series & I was surprised at the end by one revelation but not the other 2.
Noelle has yet another murder on her hands - and her boyfriend, the sheriff of Keyhole Lake. Yet, with so much other stuff going on, it takes the whole story to reveal who and why.
Bringing all her friends and 'family' to a party at the end of the story, some questions are answered that had been lingering for a while.
Noelle also is in for 3 major surprises before the story ends. Seriously looking forward to the next installment...
I would normally have given this 4-stars since the team continues to evolve and work together well. However, the editing was progressively bad as the book developed. Almost like they quit checking it after the first few chapters. Timelines were mixed up, words were misspelled or missing or just wrong. Very disappointing. Also, they sort of blew off the entire murder investigation toward the end of the story. I guess the final scene was all they were shooting for?
Yall, this series is fabulous and this book is just another fine example!! Although in this one there were a few side stories that I totally saw coming true, I didn't let that count against anything. If you're looking for a good clean story that's magical then this is it!
Nice cozy mysteries with a few mini side mysteries. I generally like all the books I've read so far by this author and I liked this one. It did feel a little rushed at the end, though no one was trying to kill anyone at the end either. Nice to have a change from the general mystery books. Recommended author.
Been a long time coming it seems for these characters to get where we all know where they're heading but its still gives ya a tingle when those things finally happen. Love Noelle and gang of crime solvers and always look forward to seeing what the residents of Keyhole are up to.
When there are witch's involved and their lives have been challenged more than once, keeping secrets may not be a good idea. When a stabbing occurred in a tent against someone that no one could stand, the number of people can be long. What witches can do may just help in certain areas.
This promising debut novel sets the stage for an exciting series. The well-developed characters draw readers in, creating a compelling narrative that leaves us eager to explore Book 2. With strong potential and intriguing character dynamics, this story offers a captivating foundation for what could become an engaging literary journey.
This is my least favorite in the series. It seemed very rushed and the time line for girls night was all over the place. It seemed as if the murder case was more of an afterthought than the main plot.
I have read several of the books in this series. It has strong and well developed characters that you will fall in love with and root for throughout the books. The stories flow and are engaging, before you know it your at the end. Great Reading Everyone!
I like these books, but they need better editing. Numbers and other details aren't consistent. It seems like this book was rushed and the author didn't proofread it before publication.
This was another fun story from the Keyhole Lake witches. The girls are increasing their powers and their love lives. I’ve enjoyed the characters and seeing them grow in each book. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Everything is changing in Noe's life and she's a little scared of the future. Putting that on the back burner, she's trying to help Hunter solve another murder.
I enjoyed the storyline as always, but I was extremely disappointed in the many spelling errors, incorrect endings on words, missing words, and incorrect word choices. This book did not seem like it was proofread at all.
