This is the professionals version of the New Rules of Lifting templates, in more detail certainly. It gives you ton of tools that are as useful to designing your own training as for working with clients.
There are some weaknesses. The price is one. If you've been deep into the New Rules of Lifting is this worth the price? If you are a professional trainer, yes. If you are not, maybe not.
Like those books, it's designed with the thought that you have a professional grade facility at your disposal with a ton of great equipment that are never so crowded that you can't move between two or more movements easily without losing your spot. There's a lot of gyms I've been in that this 30 minute program would take 90. If you're working out with a limited palette of equipment at home and aren't paying for a facility, aren't taking the time to drive to and from, etc., Alwyn has little sympathy for you.
There is a section just on bodyweight, and you can use the principles outlined to use what you have in a way that makes sense, so it's not useless there by any means.
But I love the design and the explanation of WHY. Even if you disagree here and there, or do something weird, like maces and clubs, you can figure out where that fits in.

This is a good books that explain technical aspect of resistance training program since beginner to advanced.

I guess this book a trully "insight" to help to create programs if you don't have enough ideas to create your own program.

I really recommend ths book for everyone who wants to get some valueable insight to develop a good program for your clients.

In my opinion, this book rate is 5 out of 5.

I really recommend for any fitness professionanl who wants to improve knowledge, get some insights for resistannce program and even for fat loss program.

Great book :)

As useful for the nerdy practitioner as for the professional trainer. Alwyn Cosgrove is a gem.

Essential read for trainers. Makes a large part of program design impressively simple.

Read for school. It has all the things we talked about in my exercise science program but for some reason, the way it’s delivered in this book helped me understand it better.

Great book to use as reference.

Very straight forward. Simple and efficient. It really delivery in terms of giving practical advice and guidelines to real for real word coaching/personal trainer. Although to grasp better the concept I would suggest to have already a base of knowledge about the arguments discussed in the book.

Simply Your Fitness Coaching Life

A great read. That didn’t over specify with scientific terms, but acknowledged our level of profession with general terms, and advanced techniques and program development. This help me see how much extra work I’m really putting in where I can focus my energy in other areas of the business or client management
