Have you ever felt that you aren't good enough to pursue the dream God has put in your heart? Uproot is a framework designed around the simple, yet monumental idea that the feeling of inadequacy is nothing more than evidence that the enemy of God has acknowledged your potential. Through biblical stories and a study of the enemy, Uproot teaches you to overcome seven unhealthy fruits that are produced as a result of believing the lie that you aren’t good enough. After reading this book, you will feel challenged, encouraged, and equipped to pursue the kingdom of God with a renewed sense of perspective and purpose.
"The feeling of inadequacy is your way of knowing that the enemy of God has acknowledged your potential." This sentence is in the introduction of the book and is the cornerstone of the book's message. Uproot is an incredible read for those who are willing for God to use them, but might need that reminder and nudge that God wants us to get our eyes off ourselves and to place them on him as we begin the work He has called us to do. Uproot the inadequacy. Uproot anxiety that holds you back. Uproot the thoughts that keep our faith stagnant, and replace those with deep roots of faith and action. LOVE this book and highly recommend!
Update: Worth rereading it! Roughly a year ago, I read it the last time. This time around I was able to acknowledge more of the good stuff God guided me to.
Loved it. Really helped me re-centering myself and my faith. I think this is the perfect book for every believer out there struggling with his or her faith and/or his or her feeling of not being enough. Although, I recommend this book to everyone, it may be best for people who already are Christians rather than wanting to become ones. For the latter I'd recommend books that are more explanatory. But, ultimately, everyone can and should read this book.
