This book saved me from the lines of small, angry, glitter-dipped people waiting to enter my elementary school office on a daily basis (imagine TSA lines where every single passenger has missed their flight) to complain about how so-and-so rolled her eyes at whoosie, and how what's-her-name called so-and-so a "ratchet ho." Instead of putting up a sign prohibiting 3rd grade girls from my office between the months of August through May, I used the "experimentation strategy" from this book and decided to take each girl aside and see how we could "experiment" on their "ratchet ho" enemies by being nice to them. Each girl would keep a log of how the other reacted during the experiment phase. I had the "ratchet ho" girls experimenting on the "eye-rollers" as well. None of the girls came back until fourth grade when they were caught smoking pot out of applesauce container bongs in the bathrooms TOGETHER, so I consider the third grade "experiment" a success.
