Kimber Klein has left the modeling world behind. She's sick of the constant pressure to be perfect and ready to live her life without watching every little thing she eats. She's also really happy to finally spend some time getting to know herself and the two sisters she never met until recently. Life is good ... mostly. Kimber can't stop worrying about a stalker she's hoping she left behind in New York City. She doesn't think he's found her in Bridgeport, until one day she leaves her volunteer job at the elementary school library to find two of her tires slashed. Has her old life come back to haunt her in Ohio? Gunnar Law is satisfied with his life as a single dad. He's still getting to know his son, Jeremy, since he's only been fostering the teen for a short while. While parenting someone you only just met can be a little awkward, Gunnar loves Jeremy and plans to adopt him as soon as they can get the paperwork through. Life is pretty simple, and he likes it that way. Then one afternoon, he and Jeremy stop to help a distraught -- and extremely beautiful -- woman who had her tires slashed in the school parking lot. And suddenly life doesn't seem quite so simple anymore. In this final chapter of the Dance with Me series, Shelley Shepard Gray leads us back to Bridgeport, Ohio, where family comes in all shapes and sizes, everyone deserves a second chance, and falling in love happens when you least expect it.

Kimber Klein leaves her modelling career and moves to Bridgeport, where she becomes involved in voluntary work while thinking what’s next. She is enjoying getting to know Shannon and Traci, the two sisters she has never met till recently as they were separated as children by adoption and foster care situations. Shannon teaches dance. Traci is a police officer. Kimber is hoping she left her hassles with a stalker behind in New York City as well as her modelling career. But then one day she comes out from the school after reading to children to find two tyres of her white Mercedes have been slashed. Help comes in the form of Gunnar Law and Jeremy, the fifteen year old boy Gnnar has been fostering with a view to adopting him. Suddenly it seems life just became more complicated for all of them.
This is book 3 in a series and I had not read the earlier two. It didn’t matter. It stood on its own, fine. I liked Kimber and Gunnar is a sweetie, his mother is a force to be reckoned with and there is also a teen romance looming for Jeremy.
The story is not without its drama that sends the heart racing as well as lovely glimpses into family relationships. This is a sweet, engaging read. I liked the interplay between Gunnar and Jeremy and also with Gunnar’s mother as well as Kimber with her adoptive parents. Recommended as an enjoyable book to settle down with.

Save the last dance is the third book in the series Bridgeport at Christmas. I didn't read the first two, so you can say this could be a stand alone. This Kimber's story. Synopsis: Kimber Klein has left the modeling world behind. She’s sick of the constant pressure to be perfect and ready to live her life without watching every little thing she eats. She’s also really happy to finally spend some time getting to know herself and the two sisters she never met until recently. Life is good … mostly. Kimber can’t stop worrying about a stalker she’s hoping she left behind in New York City. She doesn’t think he’s found her in Bridgeport, until one day she leaves her volunteer job at the elementary school library to find two of her tires slashed. Has her old life come back to haunt her in Ohio? Gunnar Law is satisfied with his life as a single dad. He’s still getting to know his son, Jeremy, since he’s only been fostering the teen for a short while. While parenting someone you only just met can be a little awkward, Gunnar loves Jeremy and plans to adopt him as soon as they can get the paperwork through. Life is pretty simple, and he likes it that way. Then one afternoon, he and Jeremy stop to help a distraught—and extremely beautiful—woman who had her tires slashed in the school parking lot. And suddenly life doesn’t seem quite so simple anymore. I couldn't connect to characters. The romance between Kimber and Gunner is very quick that is simple non existing. The book is written in 3rd person, and I didn't like it. The story is about Kimber and Gunner but also about young love Bethany and Jeremy. It has to many main characters. Main focus is meant to be on Kimber, but I couldn't feel it. It's not short book, I had a feeling that there is only 20 pages about Kimber... I got the feeling that this book was written as movie scenario. Set the scene. The scenes are not connected... Just didn't enjoyed this book. Only 2 stars...

Save the Last Dance is a very powerful story written by Shelley Shepard Gray in her The Dance With Me series. I have enjoyed this series for so many reasons. This series is about three sisters that find each other through a simple DNA test. Not one of them realized the others existed. Each story revolves around one of the sisters and this one is Kimber's story. The characters that the author has developed are very likeable and realistic. Kimber is a very independent young lady that has worked extremely hard at becoming a model but after getting to know her sisters has made her realize she wants more out of life.

Kimber has made the choice to give up modeling in search of something more meaningful but soon discovers that she is just floating through her days. Unexpectedly Kimber finds two tires on her car have been slashed and a very dreaded note left behind. Her stalker is back! Coming to her rescue Gunnar and Jeremy help Kimber navigate this problem and her journey begins here. The author takes the reader on a journey filled with compassion, danger, and new beginnings.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Congratulations to Shelley Shepard Gray on releasing another exciting story and series for her readers enjoyment.

I was looking forward to this book, the third sister and final of the new family.
This is Kimber's story, sister to Shannon and Traci, and we get updates here, we are all together!
Kimber is a beautiful young woman whom has had a successful modeling career, and is now enjoying her found family.
As we journey this final book in this series we get to meet Gunner and his foster/soon to be his son Jeremy, and we get a look into each of their lives.
This read brings us to the Christmas season and the dance studio is doing the Nutcracker, Traci is busy with the baby and being a police officer and Kimber get a chance for the job of a lifetime.
There are surprises and bombshells that are dropped, and it will keep you on your toes!
I wish there were more reads in this series, I loved meeting these sisters!
I received this book through Net Galley and Blackstone Publishing, and was not required to give a positive review.

Related to Bridgeport Social Club series

Genre: Romance > Contemporary Romance; Holiday > Christmas

Featuring: Bridgeport, Ohio, Spartan, West Virginia, NYC, Epigraphs, Dance Studios, Police Officers on Duty, Sibling Relationships, Modeling, Volunteering With Children, High School, Foster Care, Stalking

Rating as a movie: PG-13 for adult content

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐️

My thoughts: 26% (Ch. 10) - I'm loving this story a lot more than the last one, I think mostly because it has a similar plot to the first Bridgeport Social Club book, however I'm over the damsel in distress and keeping it on the low storyline, it's overdone and I don't like stupidity and lies.
48% (Ch. 17) - So many loose ends, but I'm loving the story that is being presented.
74% (ch. 26) - Loving it! I'm just going to ignore the stupidity. 🙃

I have completely finished this series and I'm set to read the next one even though it's not finished, Edgewater Road is a Cozy Mystery set in Amish Country with Englishers as the main characters. I enjoyed the Contemporary Romances from Shelley Shepard Gray, this series in particular had some flaws, first I was very annoyed that the secondary romance from book one was tossed to obscurity, although the character continued to be a big part of the series, then there was the change up in birth order of siblings, happened twice in this particular title. My final issue was each book featured a character that was stalked and tried to hide it, this particular case irritated me considering the character was present for the events of the last 2 books and already had a restraining order in place. People aren't this stupid, if someone is threatening you and you're scared, you tell. It was predictable and I kind of suspected the the ending but it was enjoyable. I only wish I got to know some of the new characters more.

Recommend to others?: Yes, this was my favorite of the 3.

Save the Last Dance is the final installment in The Dance With Me series by Gray set in Bridgeport, OH. This is Kimber’s story, the youngest sister of Shannon and Traci who just found each other in the last year.

Kimber is adjusting to living a slower lifestyle after a successful modeling career. She met Jeremy at the library then his foster father Gunnar Law outside of the library when they assisted her with her car. There is so many remarkable events how the story unfolds I was immersed into the story. I enjoyed the fostering aspect included in the story, the young romance budding between Jeremy and Bethany, and Shannon’s dance studio putting on the Nutcracker right at Christmas time. All of these events were bonuses as Kimber’s story is filled with a tinge of suspense with a stalker and unexpected twists and turns when she returns to New York for a once in a lifetime offer as a model. The attraction between Kimber and Gunnar was unique with their background being different.

I appreciate how Gray wrote this series with the beauty of three sisters finding one another in their adult years and making sacrifices to come together in a small town. Their character was filled with love and willingness to go the extra mile to protect each other even during their own busy schedule. Shannon, Traci and Kimber became friends through this series along with the secondary characters and heroes. I would like to see the couples appear in future books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and was under no obligation to write a review. I have expressed my own opinion.

Each of these novels in the series feature a different sister that has come together through DNA testing and has agreed to live together for a year. This one features Kimber Klein who has just retired from her modeling career. She is trying to discover her gifts and where she fits into her community. Kimber has started to volunteer at a school in Bridgeport, Ohio where she meets Gunnar through his teenage son, Jeremy.

I enjoyed learning about Gunner who is a kindhearted, gentleman type of sweet guy. Kimber cannot believe he is real, given the world she came from. Gunnar’s mom is a hoot, and I adored the way Gunnar is willing to help her out by agreeing to be her dance partner. Just so happens Kimber’s sister owns the dance studio Gunnar, and his mom will be going to. This novel will make you smile and in some parts bit your nails.

This is a fun, feel good book to read especially now that it takes place during the Christmas season. Shannon runs the dance studio and is performing the Nutcracker. Traci is busy with her baby and being a police officer as Kimber is trying to navigate her way to a new life and avoid getting hurt by her stalker.

Each of these novels can be read as a stand-alone but it’s a richer experience when you read them in order. This was a warm-hearted, family fun series I hated to see end. The author begins the novel by telling readers about her next series, she says, “I’m honestly a little sad to say goodbye to all the characters and places I made up in the fictional town of Bridgeport. I loved writing all six books set here, both the Dance with Me trilogy and the original Bridgeport Social Club series. I’m so pleased to share that I’ve recently been given another contract from Blackstone. These books will be more romantic suspense in nature and take place in Ross County, Ohio. They feature English characters but many Amish secondary characters – which of course, are close to my heart. I hope you enjoy Edgewater Road, the first book in the series, which will be published in 2021.”

Book #3 in the Dance with Me series has Kimber Klein leaving the high-stress demands of a New York City supermodel to relocate to Bridgeport, Ohio to live with her new-found siblings. Though she has amassed wealth from her career, she is tired of having to watch her weight and making sure she always looks flawless. When she is given the chance to move in with Shannon and Traci, she is ecstatic.

Kimber had been adopted as a baby, yet when she recently learned about Shannon and Traci, meeting them was the highlight of her life. Being the only child to her adoptive parents, she never had much of a family life for they were always busy. Now she's ready to put down some roots in this small town and escape Peter, a man who worked with her on a photoshoot and who has been stalking her.

Kimber volunteers to read to school children at the local library, which is something she loves doing. She believes she is safe in this little town, though her fear escalates when she leaves the building only to discover the tires on her Mercedes are slashed. This appears to be a deliberate act, not just a case of maybe driving over some nails. Could Peter have followed her to Ohio?

Lucky for her, Jeremy Widmer, a high-school student who shelves books at the library for volunteer credits sees she's in trouble. When his foster dad, Gunner Law pulls in to pick him up, they offer Kimber assistance. Gunner, who is a mechanic as well as a builder, he calls his boss to get her car towed.

A handsome single man, Gunner is in the process of trying to adopt Jeremy, whom he's been fostering for several months. He totally enjoys the 15-year old and hopes to make up for the hard life Jeremy has lived. With Jeremy in his care Gunner's life is full and uncomplicated, that is, until he comes to the aid of this damsel in distress. Fascinated by her, he wants to help in any way.

Burned before, Gunner isn't considering a relationship, but something about Kimber tugs at his heartstrings. His boss Ace picks up on Gunner's sudden concern about her and gives him a bit of a ribbing:

"'She's real pretty, and she seemed sweet too. Not every woman is like that you know.'

"Gunner knew. Avery, his ex-girlfriend, had seemed sweet—until she'd opened up and turned into a demanding, conniving shrew.

"'You got lucky with your wife, Ace.' His wife, Meredith, was one of the sweetest ladies Gunner had ever met.

"Ace's voice brightened. 'True that. Now, I know I'm sounding all in your business, but you've been alone for a while now. You might want to think about giving Kimber a call. She seems like a woman who would be worth your time.'

"She'd been a mystery, that's what she'd been. Beautiful, direct, and confusing. And, most likely far too city for a hick from a small-town West Virginian like him."

As time goes on, Gunner finds himself thinking about Kimber more, and he is surprised to learn she appears attracted to him in return. Though not knowing where her life is leading her, Kimber is settling in well and assisting her sisters in any way she can. They live in the apartment above Shannon's dance studio, which Shannon owns and operates, and because Kimber has a lot of free time, she busies herself helping Shannon while she prepares to put on the production of The Nutcracker for the upcoming Christmas season. Kimber is in awe of her delicate sibling whose life revolves around dancing and she hopes to discover something she's as passionate about for her future.

Gunner's and Kimber's relationship begins to bloom, and she imagines she will be a permanent fixture in the lives of her siblings and even Gunner and Jeremy. She adores the teenager and notices how wonderful Gunner is with raising him. Then, when Kimber gets a call from her agent Brett, about a modeling offer that every top model yearns for, she is torn. She doesn't need the income, but this is too good an opportunity to pass up, for it means the prestige of a cover and full spread. Deciding to accept the project, she insists to Brett it's to be her final job. She now has a family she loves, and this is to be her last hurrah!

While back in New York City, Kimber works tirelessly on this assignment yet cannot wait to return to Ohio. Gunner worries constantly about her safety, which she brushes off. After all, she’s lived there for years.

On the way back to her hotel after dinner with Brett, she is talking to Gunner when she is suddenly attacked on the city street. Is her attacker, Peter or is this just a random act of someone trying to rob a beautiful woman?

Though this story is based around the Christmas holiday, it can be enjoyed at any time of year, and it stands alone from the other two novels in the series. The reader is offered some information on the fostering/adoption process, and also insight into the grueling demands of being a top fashion model—a job that appears to be glamorous, but actually consists of a lot of hard work. A fun and easy read that is character-driven Save the Last Dance demonstrates how strangers become family with their caring ways and unfailing faith in each other.

It was great to read Kimber’s story in this grand finale in The Dance With Me series. I must say I am sad to see it end as I really enjoyed the backdrop of a dance studio and these sisters who are navigating getting to know each other as adults after being separated as children. I admired Gunnar and how he took on the role of fostering as a single parent. Ms. Gray weaves their story together in such a way that keeps you engaged from the beginning. Add a stalker to the mix to add intrigue and you have the makings of an interesting book. This book works as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the series so you know the background and family dynamics of this interesting family.

Save The Last Dance is a sweet romance and the third book in Gray's Dance With Me Series. This book featured super model Kimber and her love interest Gunnar. She has a stalker and so there is some mystery and suspense to this book. My favorite parts were with Gunnar's foster son Jeremy and his crush Bethany. It was so sweet. And I loved how Gunnar was so good with Jeremy. I really enjoyed this book and the series.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. You can purchase your copy here on November 17, 2020: https://www.amazon.com/Save-Last-Danc...

Ok, I had to read it. I know it doesn’t come out for another two months and you guys are going to have to sit and pine for this novel, but there are other books in this series that you can devour! This book had love where you least expect it, tragedy when you did not expect it, hope when everything is gone and community! I loved this book so much! I am so hasty to write my review because so much happens in this book and well. .. I am not one to read and tell, but I will give you basics and leave it at that. We have some teenage romance, adult romance, scary situations and lots of drama. I finished this book in one sitting, but the review takes me a lot longer to write because I am torn between giving away spoilers and just being vague. I am going to stick to being vague and just tell the facts, sir, just the facts. I have many other books to read with publishing dates prior to November, but after reading the prior book, well I requested this one and my wish was granted and well, I absorbed this book in one day and was so happy when I finished it!
This is the third book in the dance with me Series. Yup, I really read the prior book, which is so unlike me. I have to go back and read book #1, but hey..small miracles. We begin this book with Kimber. Kimber has been through a wee bit of a stalking situation. Moving from NYC to small-town Ohio not only stopped the stalking, but also her career as a model. There isn’t much model work in tiny town Ohio. Kimber has been volunteering at the library in the elementary school. Not only that, but she has been bonding with her sisters; sisters that she hadn’t grown up with, ones that she didn’t even know that she had. We learn quite a bit about foster care and the risks and all the benefits too. Kimber’s sister was also raised in the foster care, but not as nice as the one that we hear about. Kimber meets someone special after an unfortunate situation occurs. Kimber has such an amazing support system and we learn how they all come into play and are by her side in an instant!
This book had me so intrigued about what the first book contains. Shelley has two additional books coming out soon! A Perfect Amish Romance that comes out January 2021 and Amish Midwives that comes out in March 2021. I will be keeping my eyes pealed for those, but hoping that this is not the last book in the series. I am hooked and want to dance some more! Bring me some snowflake dancers or some ballroom dancing any day! Did I mention that back in the day when we could shake hands and interact with people, I actually MET THIS AUTHOR at BOOKCON! GEEK ALERT! I am hoping that the next Book Con that I go to that I can now fangirl the heck out of this author and be like..OMG when Kimber…. Xyz and then gcd… sorry no spoilers.. I cannot wait to see her in real life! My library loves it when authors come to talk about their new books, just saying….

I didn't want this series to end! I loved getting to know the people of Bridgeport and especially the three sisters. As Kimber found out, sometimes it takes a bit to see what's really important. Often it's the people around us more than anything that gives so much light and beauty to our days.

Kimber is a little out of sorts as she leaves her modeling career for small town Ohio. She's hoping she's left her stalker behind as well. After a day reading to kids at the library, things get a little more complicated. Life is not as carefree as she'd like it to be.

Kimber and her sisters are still coming to know one another. They're all very different. I appreciate their intentionality in being in each other's lives even at great personal cost.

While you could easily read this book as a standalone, do yourself a favor and read the whole Dance With Me series...and the Bridgeport Social Club series. They all have a strong message of family. I'd highly recommend it.

Bridgeport Social Club series:

Book 1: Take a Chance

Book 2: All In

Book 3: Hold on Tight

Dance With Me series:

Book 1: Shall We Dance

Book 2: Take the Lead

Book 3: Save the Last Dance

This series is about three sisters who never knew the others existed until a DNA test was run. I love how they all make the sacrifice of their current lives in order to move together and get to know one another. Kimber Klein left behind her glamorous life of modeling. With it she hopes her stalker has given up. Finding her tires slashed, Kimber cannot help but fear that he has found her. Gunner comes to the aid of the beautiful young woman with slashed tires. He likes his life simple but adding a foster son and possible love interest tends to complicate things. I love how these sisters interact and take care of each other. I also love the introduction of the foster son Jeremy and his first love interest Bethany. They were so sweet together. Each of these books can be read as a stand alone but the series is one worth investing in. Shelley Gray writes stories to appeal to all. Her characters are well balanced and relatable. I have enjoyed visiting Bridgeport, Ohio and these three sisters. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Kimber has stepped away from her career as a model and is spending time with her newly found sisters Traci and Shannon. She's also hopefully escaped a stalker but then one day she finds her tires have been slashed while she's volunteering at a school. Jeremy, one of the teens, calls his father Gunnar and well, Kimber's life changes again. This is the third in a series- each book about one sister- but it's fine as a standalone. Each of these women has had a tough go but each of them has found happiness with each other and with a love interest. What makes this special is that Gunnar is fostering to adopt Jeremy, who is a terrific character. There aren't, to be honest, any big surprises here but that's not why you read this sort of novel, is it? This is nicely written with characters you will root for. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's got a huge heart and it cheered me up.

Kimber is the third sister in this trilogy. Kimber is sweet and kind she is at a crossroads. She was a successful model. She wants more in her life. She meets Gunnar who is wonderful foster dad to teenager Jeremy. Gunnar was burned in the past at first he was afraid to put himself out there again. Kimber and Gunnar clicked. Gunnar and Kimber have wonderful chemistry. This book perfect amount of small town romance and suspense. I loved the secondary romance of Jeremy and Bethany. Shelly Shepard Gray wrote a wonderful saga about three girls who were put up for adoption when they were babies. When they are adults one of the women makes it her job to find them and we learn in the three book series about each one of the women.
Book three is Save the Last Dance and it is just a wonderful as the other two. It is light and full of true love and the meaning of family. I would suggest that anyone who reads this make sure you read the full series or you might be a little confused.

This is the last book in the series. I really enjoyed these books and getting to know the sisters. When ever I read a Shelley Shepard Gray book I feel like I am home, I just settle in and enjoy, before I know it I am finished! These books not only deal with friends and family but they bring in the whole community, you really get to know the town. My only complaint is the book is set at Christmas, but it really wasn't mentioned a lot in the book.

I loved Save The Last Dance. The Dance With Me series has been a nice change! Not sure if authors like to be compared to other authors, but with this series by Shelley Shepard Gray, it was just like reading Karen Kingsbury. I really enjoy the Amish fiction but I hope to see more like this from Shelley!

In the final installment of Dance with me series, Shelley Shepard Gray takes us back in a ride to Bridgeport. This time we are getting the story of Kimber Klein, the youngest of the sisters trio.

From the start Kimber was a enigmatic character, a new transplant from the big city NY. After leaving her modelling career behind for a life with her long lost sisters she assumed all the bad memories have also lost her trail. Every thing was well until a blast from her past strikes back again.
The love interest for Kimber is Gunnar Law, who is fostering a teen named Jeremy since last six months and has been planning to adopt him soon. Kimber and Gunnar's meet cute happens outside a Library when Kimber's tires are punctured by a mysetious stalker. But Gunnar steps in to help her.I really like how Shelley Shepard Gray always includes a important topic (featuring crimes against women) in the form of a side character in her Dance with me series, in the first one we found a Rape victim, on Traci's story we got a abuse victim and on this one there's a stalker story.
There's a side track love story about Jeremy and his crush Bethany, which was cute and adorable teenage romance.

The sisterhood is the main theme of this series and I absolutely enjoy this sort of trope. I'm so overwhelmed as the series is over as well as glad that the three sisters finally receive their happily ever afters. Cheers to sisterhood.

I have loved the first two books specially the second one, I had high hopes for this one, I was slightly let down. I felt, the subplots with Stalker, Adoption and the teen romance between Bethany and Jeremy were given more focus than the love story between the actual main characters Gunnar and Kimber. However it's not all bad, Gunnar and Kimber have a great understanding and are always there for each other. It's just that the vibes were dim. In this case, I preferred the teen romance than the love story between the main characters.

Nevertheless, the main characters were well developed. Gunnar was really a sweet guy, I loved his concerns and caring nature. I am glad to finally read about Kimber, beneath all fancy layers she's a simple girl craving a simple life. I'm so happy that she got to balance her life and got what she wanted.
Overall, it was a nice experience reading this lighthearted book.

If you haven’t read the first two books in this series I would highly recommend it. I hate to see the series end, but the author has done a great job of making the three sisters come to life as we experience their journey. It has been a hard road as these sisters come together to reconnect. I loved the back story on them and how they were able to finally meet. The first two books will touch on that a bit more. In this book we focus on Kimber.

I loved her character and how sweet she was. Giving up modeling will be a huge change for her but maybe she can find something that will give her enjoyment. Coming back to her hometown is a challenge from the fast pace modeling like in New York. Kimber does have someone who has been stealing her but she hopes he can’t find her after moving and changing her number. The author slowly shows how the stalker shows up and that puts Kimber on high alert as she gets ready to do one more job in New York.

Gunnar is a character that you instantly like. He is fostering a teenage boy while working full time on his own. What a great example he is to others to reach out to this teen and help him realize that he is wanted. The relationship between Gunner and Jeremy is good but they do need to learn to communicate and trust each other more. It is interesting to follow them in the story as the topic of adoption comes up. Will Jeremy finally get a permanent home? Can Gunnar show Jeremy how much it would mean to him to adopt Jeremy.

There is a little suspense in the story which I really liked. The stalker once again tries to harm Kimber and the tension rises as the person will stop at nothing to get to Kimber. I was a little shocked when we find out who was the stalker. Money and fame are not always everything but pride and greed push the stalker to the edge. The story wraps up nicely and I though it was fitting that the three sisters end the story celebrating finding each other.

I have really enjoyed this series of sweet, small town romances surrounding three sisters separated since they were very young. Kimber is a successful model who, at 26, is winding up her career and at loose ends. She's spent the last year living with her sisters in smalltown Ohio and getting to know them. She's held herself back from her sisters in a lot of ways. She hasn't shared that she has a stalker or that she feels a little lost

Gunnar is a special guy. He has a job as a mechanic and does construction on the side. He's recently pursued becoming a foster parent - with the goal of adoption. That isn't something you see very often fora single man. Gunnar is clearly one of the good ones. He is also a little gun shy of getting into a relationship because his last one didn't go so well (we never hear the details - but it definitely sounds like a sad one).

Like the other books in this series, there is a lot going on. We're navigating the sisters relationships, their new romance, and a dangerous situation. In this book we also have the side point of view of Jeremy (Gunnar's foster-son) and Bethany (one of Shannon's dance students and Jeremy's love interest). Its a lot - and as a result we don't get as much depth as I would have liked about Kimber and Gunnar's relationship. I just liked Gunnar so so so much, that I would have liked more.

Overall - this was a sweet resolution to series. I am hoping that maybe Shelley Shepard Gray will write some more, maybe about Gunnar's siblings so that we can see more of his mom (and of course Gunnar and Kimber).

Overall I really liked this one! I give it a solid 3.5 stars!

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

I enjoyed this series about sisters who reunited after being separated at birth. In each book, one of the sisters has found her match and this time this no exception for Kimber, the youngest who was still looking for what would make her happy.

Kimber was sick of modeling and decided for a chance and she was still struggling finding her way. Living with her sisters in Ohio and learning to know them made her happy for sure but she hasn’t a career which did not really satisfy her anymore. Gunnar is a foster dad on his way to adopt Jeremy, a teen who was trying to adapt and to be comfortable around him.

However, I was glad to read Kimber’s story because she was more discreet, slightly down compared to her sisters but she was just looking to find her balance and a simple life.
I was glad to see more about her and to better identify her own viewpoints.
Gunner was down to earth and caring, kinda old fashioned and sweet.

Kimber and Gunnar were very sweet together, supportive and caring but it was too quick for me to really connect with them. I wish I could root for them like the other couples. I wanted to feel that swoony feeling and charm in the air but it didn’t really happen equally. It was more grounded.

I appreciated the relationship between Gunnar and Jeremy. It was interesting and well developed. A bit clumsy but full of good feelings.

As much as I adored this series, I felt that too many things were going on this last installment. Too many subplots that somehow overshadowed Kimber and Gunnar’s story. It wasn’t that bad but I was more invested in Bethany and Jeremy’s story. They were too freaking adorable.

If you are new to the series, it centers around three sisters that at a very young age were given up for adoption, separated and never knowing the others existed. It was a Shannon , the main character in book one, that discovered she had sisters and reunited them in the town of Bridgeport. Each of their upbringing was totally different. From Shannon growing up as a Southern Bell, Traci Lucky, growing up in the foster system and the protagonist in this book, Kimber Klein, growing up in NYC becoming a well known model.
Kimber has left her career and a stalker behind. But she’s at a loss as to what to do with her life. While volunteering at a school library, she meets young Jeremy and later his foster dad, Gunnar Law, when he comes to her rescue after her tires are slashed.
There is an attraction between them and as the story progresses, so does their attraction.
But the story is more a vignette of scenes about the lives of the three sisters and their “sisterhood”, life in Bridgeport, the budding young love of Jeremy and Bethany, and Gunnar’s mother. It also gives the reader a glimpse of being a foster parent wanting to adopt a child.
I loved Gunnar, his mom Willa and Jeremy. I also enjoyed “seeing” how Shannon and Traci were doing.
I have to confess that though it was a good story, I just never warmed up to Kimber and book 1 continues to be my favorite in the series.
Having read not only this series, but also The Bridgeport Social Club series, I will miss spending time in Bridgeport.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Since I loved the first book in the series, I was looking forward to reading this book. This book centers on the third sister Kimber, who was a successful model in NYC. Kimber has left that life behind and is trying to determine what her future will be. When Kimber's tires are slashed, Gunnar and his foster son Jeremy come to the rescue. Kimber is concerned that her NYC stalker has come to Ohio. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher though Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This book is a story centered more about relationships than suspense. Most of the suspense is towards the end of the book. I like that this book contained two sweet romances told from four different points of view. The secondary one is a YA romance which fits smoothly in the storyline. At times, the story doesn't flow smoothly and a couple of minor events are not followed through. I wondered what happened to Kimber's modeling job when it was unexpectedly interrupted. Also, towards the end of the book, Traci asks Gunnar to do something. When it isn't done in a timely manner, Traci asks a different question than I expected. The story was good, but could have used a little more editing for flow.
