Volpe: Book 1

Rate this book
What if you could make a list of all the bad people in your life, and then take them out one by bloody one?

When someone hurts your family you hurt them. It is a pretty easy concept right? He hurt my sister, my twin. I killed him. But, oh our story doesn’t end there. It couldn’t be that simple. Together Kora and I go through the list checking off names, permanently. I’m Kaleb Volpe, and in my world only one thing matters.

Volpe matter. Volpe above all else.

This book was not something I usually would read but so glad I did!
Kora and Kaleb are twins at NYU together. They were adopted and their father is very wealthy.
Kora and Kaleb were having a party at their house. Kora was tired and decided to go to bed. A while later Kaleb went to see if she was still awake and walked in on Drake, a teammate of his raping a drugged Kora. He grabbed a fire poker and started hitting him over and over and eventually killed him. The drugged Kora wakes up and together they dispose of the body. After going through Drake’s cell they discover a “Rape Club”.
They decide to get justice for all the victims and find it goes bigger than just college boys with money.
This book gets graphic but the plot line of this book focuses on rape, pedophiles and human trafficking. A book worth reading as it deals with very real problems in this world today. I highly recommend this book.

When I first heard about this book and the two main characters I thought "What a great idea!" But good ideas don't always get executed into a good piece of read, right? Huh, that is so true. Luckily, and amazingly, Kora and Kaleb are so interesting and so much different than anything else I've ever read that even if the plot was badly done, I'd still enjoy it. As it happens, this book is a freaking bag of awesomeness!
It has depth, three-dimensional characters, a message and a ton of good old dark humor.
It may have triggers so caution is advised. Violence, blood and other nasties guaranteed! But somehow, Katy weaved threads of true, unconditional love and hope for humanity into the darkness that can be found in its murkier depths.
It's definitely a worth read!

So first off I just meant to say that I am slowly entering the dark genre world and let me say this book was right up that alley. They are some pretty intense scenes that can cause triggers. Fair warning.

Anyways you follow the twins Kora and Kaleb who have been through some stuff growing up. However, they were saved by a wealthy family. However, something really bad happens that changes their lives. They uncover illegal activities that people they know are involved. I

I was seriously blown away with this book. The suspense was insane but I was in it and loved every bit of it. I highly recommend this book of you like the dark genre preference.

Ok guys I’m going to be real. I have never read a book like this. I enjoy love and mystery’s and a little kink (not going to deny it). I volunteered to review this book because I found Katy on Facebook and fell for her snark. But let me tell you, this was such a great book.
Disclaimer it has some taboo that can cause issues for people with triggers. But you might love and be empowered by the turn of events.
Dark and twisty revenge at it greatest. Two characters you love but should probably hate. Rooting for the bad-guy (finger quotes inserted here) has never been better. Volpe for ever.

This was an amazing read, WOW, This book grabbed me and did not let go until I finished the very last word. There is so much that I want to say but I do not want to give anything away as this book needs to be read. The book moves along at a great pace, the characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and the story is going to grab you and not let you go till the very last word has been read.

THis has to be on list of books to read. There is no doubt about it.

Just Wow

This books is full of triggers from the very beginning. Rape, sex trafficking, child molestation. It takes a hard look at a growing problem. While I don't agree with the measures the Volpe Twins take; it is hard not to cheer for them. It is difficult to read this story; but if you can get past the horror, it's so worth the read. Parts made me ugly cry. Just warning you.

Woah... this book is DARK! Not my typical read by far. I usually do romance, paranormal, fantasy... this book basically starts of with a bang and just keeps on going. I couldn't wait to see who the next victim would be and how they would be disposed of. I really want to know what happens next!!!

Floved

I absolutely loved Volpe, it’s such a good start to a series. It’s dark and funny but full of mystery and murder as well. I’ve genuinely never read anything like it. If gossip girl and dexter had a baby this would be their love child! I love how much the story developed and didn’t give anything away from the get go, it drags you in so you can’t put it down. The development of kaleb and koras characters and learning why they think and do the things they do is heartbreaking but beautifully dark and twisted. Just go and read it you won’t be disappointed. Be ready for a rollercoaster

Volpe: Book 1
5 stars for Volpe by Katy Rose. This is a book worth reading. Kara and Kaleb are twins in NYC and were adopted by their wealthy family. They have been through a lot while growing up. Something really bad happens to Kara (don’t want to spoil it) at a party they are having. Kaleb comes to her rescue and this sets them off on the journey. These two are out to get justice and revenge. They soon discover this goes a lot deeper than they could imagine. I loved every second of this book. It was dark and filled with suspense. I can not wait for the next book.

This book has a very interesting concept. Twin serial killers is a great concept but however this author had so many grammatical/spelling errors it literally made my head hurt. Not only that she didn’t go in grave detail about the murders it made the book flow super fast. This book feels like it is the rough draft. I didn’t like how she made comments about Deadpool and trying to compare him to the killers or bringing up dexter during the murder scenes. Like come on use your own ideas.

Diabolical and calculating

Not my usual genre but oh how exciting. I never want to cross paths with these two. Definitely take a trip with the Judge, Jury and executioners of Volpe. Count me as a new fan of Katy Rose.

Interesting

The concept is very interesting. The characters are developed but could use further developing. There are editing issues that can get aggravating.
