This is a reincarnation novel without the revenge plot. Our main character just wanted to experience the things he missed in his previous life due to focusing too much on his work. I love that concept because I'm tired of reincarnated novels focusef on revenge plots and face slappings. I needed something light but still with reincarnated plot.
I finally managed to finish a book after 2 months of book slump. I'm so happy. 😆

What a lovely surprise this novel was. Funny, sweet, and heartwarming, with a beautiful message about love, happiness, respect, and self-acceptance.
The main character died at a young age saving someone from a car accident. He had a successful career in the entertainment industry but lived a lonely life without any fulfillment. He was gay and stayed in the closet his whole life because of his fame. He died without having experienced love for fear of other people's opinions and that was his main regret. He got a second chance and was reborn 10 years before his death.
He decided to go a different path and this time living away from the spotlight and keeping a low profile. Unfortunately, (not really) destiny had something else in mind. All the luck he seemed to lack in his previous life he got to spend on this second one. Everything he did or said to destroy his acting career turn out useless and he got the ideal result of achieving even higher stardom. The difference? He did not care. Somewhere along the way, he realized that he liked to act and spent some time perfecting his skills. He was picky with the jobs he accepted and his foremost goal was a happy life, not money or success.
His love interest was an autistic physic scientific. The protagonist saved him from a car accident early on in the story and they just bonded. Their relationship was sweet and damn near perfect. His autism made things interesting and more real. The way they slowly progressed was satisfying to read. Zero drama and no ups and downs. Some funny misunderstanding was the extent of their problems. It's not that kind of novel. They were also open about their love and their family and friends were accepting.
I like the topics that the story brought to light. It was a strong social critique of the industry and the struggles of the people in it but also about social media and its impact. Every little thing that happened to the protagonist caused a big wave on the Internet and it was funny to read the comments but also sad because of how similar to the reality they were. Because of his extreme luck, the scandals didn't last too long and they were naturally explained. Then you could read the comments again and the contrast they made with the aforementioned ones. How easily influenced were people's opinions on the Internet and how foolish it is to care so much about it, that's what I thought while reading.

This is one of the best "reborn entertainer" novels of all time and I've read SO MANY. Idk I just think it's cute and I like that there's a neurodivergent person who's both treated like an adult and also has his own personality outside of his autism. Most writers don't bother with that.

It's been a while since I read a novel with so much fluff. I wasn't sure whether I'd like it based on the summary, but I do appreciate a good entertainment novel, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. The ML is so precious sometimes I can't stand it!
The story is straightforward. The MC, Yu Qinghuan, is a popular actor in the entertainment circle. He dies a sudden death saving someone and finds himself transmigrated into his younger self from 10 years ago. Now that he has a chance to relive his life, all he wants is to get out of acting to find a chill job and have a chance to find love, but his insane luck pushes him into the spotlight repeatedly and he has no choice but to keep going down the acting path. At least he finds love along the way :)
Translation quality was okay but there were a lot of typos and grammatical errors along the way. Plus the characters' names were switched sometimes and I had to reread the sentence to make sure I had the right character in mind.

It was nice to read a book where homosexuality is accepted by the public and it's not a source of drama. YQH comes out to the public about being gay and Huo Qu, the ML, being his boyfriend, and his fans don't mind at all. Even HQ's family is very accepting of YQH after they realize how much YQH has helped their son mature mentally.
YQH's luck is just simply insane. They don't call him a lucky koi for nothing. That's one of the reasons why I dinged the book by a star, because even though I know this is just a work of fiction, some of the scenarios the author comes up with are just too crazy. He keeps going on WB hot search without doing anything. He wins 60 million from the lottery and gets casted for roles with minimal effort. He saves the whole crew and cast of the movie from a freak gas pipe fire by suggesting that everyone get a day off. And that's just part of it, there's more... You can see why it gets to be a bit too much.
I liked Huo Qu for the most part too, though sometimes his sole focus on YQH was a bit too intense for me. It was an interesting journey to watch him mature and slowly learn to do things on his own though, and it was adorable to see how single mindedly devoted he is to YQH. Sometimes he'll just say the sweetest things, and you know he really means them because of his character.

After a pause, after cracking his brain to organize his words, Huo Qu said to Yu Qinghuan, “Qinghuan, I know I am different from normal people. I know nothing except physics and math. But…can you give me some time? I can learn. Like how you protect me, I will also learn to protect you.”

”Qinghuan...” Hearing his answer, Huo Qu felt his heart skip a beat. When he was about to say something, Yu Qinghuan cut in.
“You can already protect me.”
“Really?”
“Mm.”
You don’t need to change a bit, because you are already the best Huo Qu in the world.

“Happy New Year,” Yu Qinghuan replied after a while. It was not until Huo Rong waved his hand and walked away that he came to himself. Looking at Huo Qu, he frowned and scolded, “What are you doing here? It’s New Year’s Eve!”
“Qinghuan,” Huo Qu tried to hold Yu Qinghuan’s wrist with a smile on his face, “I’m with you.”
Yu Qinghuan sighed, pulled him into the room and closed the door. “Huo Qu, you may not understand that Spring Festival is the most important festival of the year, so on this day, we all have to spend time with our most important people. Don’t be capricious, okay?”
“I know,” Huo Qu said earnestly, looking into Yu Qinghuan’s eyes, “I want to be with you.”
Yu Qinghuan felt his heart skipped a beat and could not speak for a long time.

Huo Qu, who had been immersed in excitement, now nearly got a heart attack, “Huh? Don't you know what the second elder brother wants to eat?"
Huo Qu’s face remained unchanged, “No, I don’t.”

Looking at her brother's handsome face without any guilt, Huo Rong whispered, “You don’t know? Then what do you know?”
He thought his voice was small enough, but Huo Qu still heard him.
Huo Qu answered his question honestly, "I know what Qinghuan likes to eat."

Kind of a chill book? If you are looking for a realistic entertainment industry book, this is definitely not for you. There are elements of rebirth, a ridiculous amount of luck and somewhat unrealistic fan reactions.
That said, I still enjoyed the book as I found these elements to be hilarious and light-hearted instead. There are some TW elements as well, but they are not described in-depth. IMO, MC is kind, charitable, and down-to-earth who wants to chill in life due to his previous life experiences. ML is somewhat a savant with low EQ and zero life skills. I like reading how MC treats ML so gently while ML strives to level up his life skills so as to better take care of MC.
Sometimes, the novel feels like an anime with a hard-to-believe plot, but it's eventually explained to make the book feel like a light-hearted read.
Lots of fluff, and candy. A little bit of sad elements (but no angst). No smut.
Good to read once. For now, I feel that it's unlikely I'll read it again.

Es lenta, sin dudas. Pero es muy dulce. TAN MALDITAMENTE DULCE.
¡Amo mucho a los personajes principales! Aunque los secundarios también están muy bien.
Me encantó que el/la/le autor se haya decidido con un personaje principal neurodivergente. Y en mi pobre capacitada opinión, fue abordada de una manera muy buena.
El único problema para mi fue que... uhm, como que se volvió repetitivo. El protagonista iba a hacer algo, y ya sabía que iba a salir todo bien. Un antagonista quería hacer algo malo, pero ya sabía que nunca se iba a salir con la suya... y así. Eso me aburrió un poco.
Sin embargo, creo que es mi problema. Ya que la novela es sobre eso. Sobre que le vaya bien al protagonista después de que en su vida pasada no lo haya pasado tan bien.
En fin, la recomiendo si quieres leer un slice of life dulce y fluff.

Love our puppy-seme, ML(huo qu), he's just too adorable and is a pure baby with a super memory. His progress in the plot is incredible. He was hopeless at first (he couldn't even use a spoon), but he progressively improved after so many firsts with mc.
Our little koi mc is sweet and compassionate, and he knows what he wants for himself. He gives his all in both love and career. Their affection for one another melts my heart. 🥺
And mc's luck, as well as how everyone keeps forwarding our koi image for good luck, is pure comedy, to say the least. (I want to forward his pictures for good luck too, I seriously in need of luck rn😭)

great mcs and great side characters, relationship between mc and the love interest is great, good plot and good pacing, was a bit iffy about the love interest at first because he appeared very childish and naïve but he has great character growth throughout the novel and becomes more mature and like his actual age, h*mophobia is barely relevant which was a nice touch

One of the cutest love stories I’ve ever read. And also an absolute pageturner.
I went into this expecting a cute relationship based on the reviews I read before but truth is that this novel is so much more heartwarming than I originally expected!
For starters, I love these characters. Everyone is so likeable and it doesn't take much effort to become invested into the different plotlines involving every character. The only downside that I found in this regard is that I wish we could've gotten some more story for some characters (Qingyuan bestieeeeee) and maybe this could have been done by replacing some of the scenes with less irrelevant characters which don't contribute much to the plot or some of the more filler scenes in the middle of the novel. But Yu Qinghuan and Huo Qu definitely make up for it by being amazing protagonists and for being an unbeatable couple. There's no one more perfect for each other than these two.
I also really enjoyed the writing style although at the beginning I struggled to find a translation that satisfied me so I ended up reading some chapters in the original language while making use of my less than hsk5 level chinese. At some point the translations do get better (at chrysanthemum garden at least) so I ended up reading the rest in English even though at times details got lost in translation. But still, I found that I really enjoyed this author 's writing style so I look forward to read more by Lian Shuo. I especially like the way she writes the dynamic between the characters.
Huo Qu, the ML, is the one who falls first and he falls head over heels for the MC, and its honestly so cute to see. He’s also a genius when it comes to physics, but is helpless when handling what others consider to be mundane tasks due to his psychological predisposition. It’s also super heartwarming to see his improvement and the little big breakthroughs he manages to make.
The MC is SUCH a good person. He’s an angel really. He also has extremely good luck, which is something very prominent through the whole novel and it makes for a bunch of laughable content. But still, he believes the best proof of his good luck is that he got to meet the ML, isnt that just tooth-roothing sweet? They love each other and I love them.
Definitely one of my favorite novels in the genre, it’s just such a good read, it got me hooked from the beginning and I even had to scold myself to put the novel down. A true page turner.

Huo Qu, the ML, is the one who falls first and he falls head over heels for the MC, and its honestly so cute to see. He’s also a genius when it comes to physics, but is helpless when handling what others consider to be mundane tasks due to his psychological predisposition. It’s also super heartwarming to see his improvement and the little big breakthroughs he manages to make.
The MC is SUCH a good person. He’s an angel really. He also has extremely good luck, which is something very prominent through the whole novel and it makes for a bunch of laughable content. But still, he believes the best proof of his good luck is that he got to meet the ML, isnt that just tooth-roothing sweet? They love each other and I love them.
Definitely one of my favorite novels in the genre, it’s just such a good read, it got me hooked from the beginning and I even had to scold myself to put the novel down. A true page turner.
