From the Author of Koraki comes the first instalment of the Nectarios and Lidia trilogy; how Nicola's parents found themselves on boats headed for Australia; and immigration frced by circumstances far from romantic. 196; the warm lands and fierce people of Sicily and Crete have recovered from the ravages of World War 2; but the Petrakis and Liverani families face threats from different sources. Opportunism and corruption force a family to part ways with the fertile lands they have held for generations. A young sirens call leads a young man to ancient ruins where the sun and warm air makes their iliicit tryst inevitable, with threats of revenge holding a afamily to ransom. An overprotective brother who believes justice is best metered out on earth instead of heaven or hell leads to a tragedy and a decision with lifelong consequences. Terra is the journey of two families choosing between the land they know and the promise of a better life; and what they leave behind.

The prequel to Koraki is a fantastic follow up. This is a page turner with twists and a beautiful narrative. Do yourself a favour, grab yourself a copy.
