While I’ve recently read a handful of the stories in this collection (rated previously, and still love), the additions that were not yet released until this omnibus are perfect additions!
I just received this (in it's gorgeous hardcover format 🖤) so I haven't read the stories that are exclusive to this book, and I'll update my review after I read them of course, but in the meantime...
I've already read a great deal of the stories in this collection, and athough of course I had my favorites, there wasn't a single one that I truly didn't like. One of my favorite things about this particular author is the variety of subject matter and feel. The stories I read evoked many different emotions, some were suspenseful, some gory, some chilling and spooky, and some were even quite touching, or gave me a chuckle or two. The writing is descriptive without being overly wordy and the plots themselves are captivating and easy to follow. I always find myself wanting more story at the end, not because they feel incomplete, but because I'm enjoying them and getting attached to the characters and I think that alone speaks for itself. Definitely recommend this book and Merchant's writing in general, one of my very favorite indie authors.
