What are two besties willing to risk for something more? The New York Times bestselling author of This Is Love has the answer in this fun, sexy, and emotional romance about friendship, family, and giving love a chance.

Something is off in Piper Dalton’s life, and she has a feeling it might just be her. All her siblings are blissfully settled with their forever loves. But while her sisters were dreaming of white weddings, Piper was left heartbroken and commitment phobic by her first love, her best friend’s younger brother. As a woman dominating the male-driven construction industry, Piper has no interest in turning in her hammer for an apron—even if hot and hilarious Harley thinks otherwise.

Burly bar owner Harley Dutch has a bum ankle and two preteen nieces to take care of, and having his best friend, tough-as-nails and sexy-as-sin Piper Dalton, come to his rescue is just the remedy he needs. Piper is her snarky self, and she kind of sucks at caregiving, but she’s owned his heart for years, she’s got a way with the girls, and Harley would sure like to have his way with her

As things heat up between Piper and Harley, she warns him not to fall in love with her because she’ll only break his heart. Harley is the right man for that challenge—until he makes the biggest mistake of his life, and they begin to wonder if true love really can conquer all.

Melissa Foster is a new author to me. I did hesitate starting with a 3rd in a series, but I was intrigued by the description of She Loves Me and decided to go for it. I'm really happy that I did and thankfully it turned out to be a standalone. It does have quite a few side characters that I believe have their own books, and while it took me a bit to learn who everyone was, I never felt lost.

For my first read by this author this turned out to be a great one. I happy to know I have several books to read by all these side characters. I really enjoyed that small town feel and all the people in our main couples lives. The author even has me excited for future books with some still unattached characters. I am such a sucker for single parent romances and it looks like we got a few to look forward to.

As for our main characters? Oh man, was Harley amazing! My number one favorite thing in a hero is a man who knows what he wants and goes for it. Add in that he's devoted, loyal, awesome with kids, makes him almost perfect in my eyes. And the way he was so patient with Piper, he never gave up. I loved him!

Piper had some thorns. She has a lot of hangups about men and I wanted her to accept Harley's love easier but once she gave him a chance, she never pushed him away. She worked at trying to open up to him and she was honest. I loved how honest she was. You don't have any games being played with these two. It really was refreshing and it made me love her character despite that big wall she had up.

I really enjoyed my first book by Melissa Foster. I highly recommend it and can see myself going back and re-reading this one again.

DNF'd. I do not know why but the story did not pull me enough despite it being quite funny and engaging. I'm really sorry Melissa Foster. This is my second book of yours and it did not resonate with me at all.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun easy, breezy read with witty banter and lot's of sexy romance. While this story is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. If you are a fan of this author, you will find familiar characters from other series and it is fun to get reacquainted with characters that you love.

Harley has loved Piper since they were teenagers but he is stuck in the friend zone. He gets hurt and needs to be nurtured back to health. Who better to help him than his best friend, Piper. He is also caring for his two younger nieces while his sister is recovering from her surgery. Piper wants to help her friend, but is blindsided as he professes his feelings for her while on pain medication. She thinks it is the medication talking but Harley realizes that it is "now or never" to let Piper know how he really feels. Piper is a career-driven woman who runs a construction company. She loves her job and believes love means changing and she doesn't want to change for anyone. Harley wants to tear down the barriers around her heart and he is seizes an opportunity to convince her that the two of them are meant to be together. Piper is beginning to believe that they have a future until her past comes back to reinforce the fears that have closed up her heart. Can Piper be honest with her feelings with Harley?

I enjoyed this story, and it not only included characters from other stories, it also laid the foundation for new stories with the supporting characters, leaving you wanting for more.

Filled with heat, romance and humor, She Loves Me by Meliss Foster proved to be an enjoyable read. Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton have been friends for a long time. They have shared a lot over the years, but the one thing they failed to share was their feelings for each other.

I had been looking forward to reading Harley and Piper’s story ever since the author introduced them both in the Sugar Lake series.  At the start of the Harmony Point series the spark between them were evident, and I was eager for more. Now that I got the chance to read their story, I can say without a doubt it was worth the wait.

Harley Dutch is someone who looks out for those he loves and protects them the best way he can. After his father’s death he returned home after working many years on Wall Street to take over the family bar. In addition, he assisted his sister in caring for her daughters while she battled with breast cancer. Besides his family, Piper was one of the many people he looked out for despite her not needing anyone to fight her battles. He would do anything to move from the friend zone, but Piper had erected a wall so thick around her heart that neither his flirty comments or his blatant attempts at preventing her from dating other men could break them down.

Piper had an independent streak a mile long. As part owner of a construction company she is more comfortable with a hammer in her hand than make up and high heels. She does not see herself as being sweet-natured despite her helping out persons in need. Not one to have luck in relationships, she has sworn off marriage and having a family.

This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, I shed a tear here and there and sometimes I wanted to shake some sense into Piper. I had a marvellous time watching both Harley and Piper navigate their way from the friend zone to becoming a couple. I could sense their chemistry, and I loved how they grew as a couple. The journey was not without its challenges, but the result had me smiling from ear to ear. Harley opened Piper’s eyes, making her see she need not fear her feelings as he would never hurt her.

I received an arc through Netgalley, however I borrowed a copy through Kindle Unlimited where I listened to the audio version.

Aiden Snow narrated, and he did an outstanding job. He handled the voices of the characters well and brought out the emotions in the story. I loved the pace he read at and I believed his narration he enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

Conclusion/Recommendation

Fans of Harmony Point series will adore Piper and Harley’s story. If you enjoy contemporary romance, then I highly recommend this series. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

She Loves Me is book 3 in the Harmony Pointe series and it was an ok read for me. Unfortunately I'm beginning to think that maybe this author just isn't for me. While I loved Harley and his determination to finally make Piper his, I couldn't connect with Piper at all. I did enjoy them together at times but overall like book 2 the story was cheezy and boring. I feel these stories are to long and with nothing happening I lose interest by the 50% mark.

3.5 Breaking Down Walls

Melissa Foster has been giving her readers a group of characters who have only the best in mind for each other. Are they in each others business...Are they always looking to make things right especially when Not Asked...And have they been caring a torch for one another while being besties...Hell Yes.

In the third installment, She Loves Me, you have Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton. They have been besties for years.
It started when they were much younger when Piper fell hard for Harley's brother Marshall. In high school, she thought they were a couple but he cheated on her. Piper then over the years had terrible experiences with other men leading her to believe there was something wrong with her.

You see, Piper was not like the standard young woman. She was not girly in the ways most are. Instead, she liked doing all the things guys did and ended up doing them better than most. She studied and got her contractor's license and went into business with her father. Piper could hold her own with her crew and none of these men doubted her abilities.

She only doubted her abilities with relationships. After having numerous guys trying to change her, she decided to hell with it. She was going to be who she was, blunt, stubborn, and just live her life alone.

Harley has been waiting...For the last three years, he has been there for Piper waiting behind his bar blocking any guy Piper brought for a date. It takes a freak accident, a sprained ankle, some serious pain medication, and two cute girls to put Harley's Final Push to get Piper to see he is Her One.

Harley is the Man. He is a guy who understands Piper perfectly, wants her just as she is, and is willing to be patient. Which is a good thing because he is going to need it.

The story plays out in Melissa Foster's style...some humor, some heart, lots of flirty banter and hot sexy times. There are all the other past characters from Harmony Pointe and a few new ones to keep things going.

Piper is the last of the Daltons to get her Happily Ever After and I have been waiting for her and Harley to get together. Harley finally gets Piper after years of wanting her! If you have been reading The Sugar Lake Series or the Harmony Pointe Series you will remember Piper and Harley are friends, good friends. Harley has been trying to get Piper to go out with him for a while but she keeps shooting him down thinking he's only joking around....little does she know he's dead serious! If you haven't read any of the books in either series before now is the perfect time to start because each book can be read as a standalone.

Harley Dutch is a stand-up guy, he is running the family bar after his fathers passing as well as helping his sister raise her girls after her husband split years earlier. He's always doing for others but there is one thing that he has wanted for himself, Piper Dalton, his best friend, a woman so strong and independent she doesn't need anyone for anything. Piper has erected a barrier around her heart made of steel and she is determined not to let anyone near it again, one heartbreak was enough for a lifetime, which is why Harley has been relegated to the FRIEND ZONE!

Melissa Foster did a wonderful job with bringing these two out of the friend zone and into coupledom. I love the chemistry between Harley and Piper and I really enjoyed the way everyone could see what was between them before anything actually happened. Roxie wins MOM OF THE YEAR, she is one of the best characters I've come across that the book doesn't revolve around and I think we should have a novella of Roxie and Dan.....pretty please!!!

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Contemporary Romance or the Friends-to-Lovers Trope.

Happy Reading!!!

How great is Melissa Foster? She killed me with this story with Piper and Harley. Hang on to your kindle with this one. This book got me all sixes and sevens reading it and I wasn't sure who I wanted to clobber more at times, myself or the two of them! Seriously! I absolutely loved this story. It is book three in the Harmony Point series, and here we have Piper Dalton, the only Dalton who is unattached and is determined to stay that way forever. When her good friend and pub owner Harley Dutch injures himself at work, she gets the call to go pick him up. Harley not only owns and runs the pub, he's looking after his two nieces while his sister recovers from serious surgery. Piper works with her father is their construction business. Totally hands on supervisor who has a good crew that works with her and Piper is more than competent when it comes to swinging a hammer or setting tile. Harley and Pipe have been friends forever and since Harley took over the pub 3 years ago she spends most nights in their eating and having a couple of beers. Piper can't just leave Harley alone while he's drugged up on pain meds and someone needs to pick up the girls from school and various other duties that are involved not to mention Harley's drugged up babble about Piper and how Piper is looking at Harley a little differently too.
Piper doesn't know what to do with all this and calls an emergency meeting with her sister who owns the bakery in town, Piper is a serious sugar junkie and copes with any and all crisis with a fix form her sisters bakery. Her sister calls in the troops which include her other sisters, sister in law and a bestie.
With very little direction and a lot of sugar ingested Piper returns to the house after making sure her crew is set up on the renovation they are doing and back to Harleys she goes. The dialogue between the two is hysterical and medicated Harley is extra hot. As the story unfolds we see a lot of the characters from the previous two books, a boatload of denial on Piper's part, Harley doing his best to not scare off the intimidating bad ass Piper and plenty of meddling from both their mothers.
Throw in a couple of mind bending plot twists, love potions and sledge hammering and you have the perfect story! I loved Harley and Piper together and their small victories along with their setbacks, the smoking hot steam between them, it's kindle melting delicious!
Melissa totally delivered a perfectly crazy love story with all the trimmings! It's an absolute must read!

She Loves Me was the third and possibly the final book in the Harmony Pointe series by Melissa Foster. It was one of many in her Love In Bloom series.

We finally had the much anticipated and long awaited story for Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton. They were best friends since forever and everyone knew Harley had been in love with Piper for years, but they had never been together. Piper just thought Harley liked to harass her dates to annoy her.

Harley was injured and Piper came to the rescue to get him back to health and on his own. Harley decided it was time to up his game and Foster took us through the fun and revelation. I liked both characters but I also got tired of Piper’s constant pushing away. From that aspect, I couldn’t connect with her, never fully understood her issues and as a result, the story crawled for me at times. However, with that said, I really enjoyed the end and it finished strong. No spoilers, but I’m totally hoping to see two cross over books with the Dark Knights!

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This author knows how to tell a damn good small-town romance story. I was totally smitten with this story.

Melissa Foster is such a skilled author. She is a very natural storyteller and her writing style is so easy to read. I love how she is able to connect each of her books with a cast of characters that gets better with every book. I love how the characters in her books are interwoven into other books so seamlessly. This is one the second book that I have read by this author and I wasn't the least bit confused about these characters. Curious about some of them that I haven't read about yet, yes. But never confused. I really enjoyed the plot of the story. Much of the plot is character-based so the story grows as the characters grow. The story never has a dull moment. I was so engrossed with this story from start to finish.

The characters were crafted wonderfully. Both Harley and Piper are characters that have a lot of depth. I really like the way the author lets the reader get to know them through the story. It is very intimate and natural. Harley and Piper experience amazing character growth in the story. The cast of secondary characters is amazing. By the end of the book, you are wanting to pick up all the other books that she has written just so you can get to know the secondary characters better. I really loved the family and friendships in the book.

The romance was very organic. It just felt right. Harley and Piper had known each other for years and they had been friends the whole time. They had a very tangible chemistry with one another. It was so easy to see how perfect they were for each other. And I loved that they were friends first. It really made things hot hot hot in the bedroom when their relationship started to change.

Overall, this was a beautifully told story about self-discovery and acceptance. The plot was engaging, the characters were so realistic and likable, and the romance was absolutely perfect. I really can't wait to read more books from this world!

Yes yes Harley and Piper

I have loved Harley and Piper from the first time meeting them. Piper feisty, protective, fierce, loyal, caring, strong, independent. Harley protective, strong, caring. It was the last book of this series that I was wanting more for these two. Seeing the two of them come together for their chance at happiness was just wonderful. I loved watching these two friends fall in love together instead of from afar.

This shouldn’t be news to anyone that follows my reviews, but Harmony Pointe has been a favorite of mine since I read Call Her Mine. It has consistently hit my #TopReads shelf every time. The minute this book landed on my kindle back at the beginning of March I dove right in. I just cannot help it not only with this series, but truth be told, Melissa Foster herself as well. I was so frikkin giddy with Piper and Harley that when I finished, I launched right into a re-read of the series! I know I know, ridiculous, because I’ve done this ever time but you know what, every time I go back and re-read, my mind is blown again and again! You guys … this has only happened with one other story, and that was FSOG. I have read that trilogy now 7 times (book 2 nine times) and it never gets old and it is always as if I’m reading it for the first time. Same with Harmony Pointe !! Here’s the thing about this series, Melissa integrates everyone in everyone’s book, which is glorious because its like you’re never really saying goodbye to a couple and their story just continues. GAH, I love this series so much!!

There’s nothing more joyous than a friends to more story and the story of Piper and Harley making the leap was even more joyous because I have known them both for quite a while :) and I’ve been rooting for them almost as long! What a perfect storyline Melissa chose for them! Piper is the best kind of heroine you’d want to read .. sassy and witty, strong and independent, loyal and smart and an amazing friend! Harley is swoon personified !! There is absolutely nothing not to like about him. He is driven and smart and loyal and the best kind a friend a girl could ask for. And patient, oh my, so damn patient, and kind and just *happy sigh* THEY WERE THE PERFECT TEAM!

I love it when Melissa delivers a story that is passionately emotional. This story is not just the growth of friendship to more for Piper and Harley. Piper has a lot of growing to do and hurdles she must jump and history she has to leave in the past before she can make a future with Harley and I cannot tell you how proud I am of the choices Melissa made with her character. She built not only this story but both Piper and Harley and the secondary characters beautifully. She wrote a story I could jump into and become a part of. It has been an epic ride for me! And the epilogue … I’m crying again!! Well done!!

Let me just say, every girl needs a Harley in their life! He was so dang earnest, patient and an all around good guy. I loved every little thing about him, but nothing more than the way he treated and accepted Piper for who she was.

Derelict traditional period old stone | Stock Photo

As a construction worker, Piper doesn’t do frilly. She especially doesn’t do marriage and babies. Although there is a part of her that desires it, she recognizes that something inside of herself is broken and she’ll never be able to be the type of woman to find it. What she didn’t expect was to learn that her best friend Harley has been waiting for years for her to open her eyes and see him as more than a friend.

ᐈ Woman with one leg on crutches stock pictures, Royalty Free ...

Harley recognized that fortress Piper had built around herself and he was determined to take baby steps until he could pull them all down. With his quick wit and charming humor, it didn’t take him any time to find a place in my heart. Add in the big burly bear of a man that loves to cuddle, and yeah, I was a goner.

Animated GIF

This is a longer read but has a very nice pace to it. The drama is internal for Piper and familial for Harley. Harley definitely has to do the greatest giving but when it came time for Piper to make a choice, despite the struggle, she was able to face things like an adult, with a lot of bakery items thrown in.

I loved this story and everything about Harley and Piper as a couple. This was fun and witty, a touch angsty, and a lot romantic.

“She Loves Me”, by Melissa Foster (Montlake Romance), is a friends-to-lovers romance, with two likable main characters and a cast of lots of family related characters and several happy married couples with children.
Harley and Piper are nice, selfless and affectionate people. When they turn from friends to lovers the sex scenes dominate the story, along with conversations about feelings, emotions and relationships, involving them and other characters. They have good chemistry and their attraction is convincing.
Although, to an extent, I liked the strong bonds of love between characters and how good “open and loving” Harley and Piper are together, and their connection and electricity, this isn’t really my type of story. There’s a lot of lusting, graphic sex and endless descriptions of Harley’s prowess and physical attributes, including the super large dimensions of his “banana” (also designated as “bulge”, “package”, “girth”, “monster”, “hard shaft”…).
A quote (from ARC):
“They’d ended up with Harley lying on his back in the bathtub, the shower raining down on them as she rode him like the stallion he was.”

She Loves Me (Harmony Pointe #3) by Melissa Foster is book Three in the Harmony Pointe Series. This is the story of Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton. I have read the previous books, so that did add to my enjoyment of this one, but I did think it could be a standalone book.
Piper works with her father in the construction business so she isn't the girly girl or the homemaker type. What she does has is a soft heart that she had to protect which gives her a hard outside shell that other see. Harley has wanted Piper for more than a friend for a while but hasn't come out of the friend zone yet. When he gets hurt Piper is called to come help him. Harley runs a bar and has been helping with his nieces so he has a lot on his plate that Piper feels she has to help him now that he is hurt. This opens them up for more time together and for their feelings to start getting sorted out. Enjoyed this book and of course loved this author's writing.

Harley Dutch and Piper Dalton have been friends for years and secretly in love with each other but actions misconstrued have kept them apart. Harley is a great hero, loyal, caring, family man. Piper thinks she isn't too feminine because she is a builder and is rough like the men who work for her, but she is blinded.

Caring for his sisters kids as she recovers from chemo than him injuring himself lead to the two spending a lot of time together. Drawn together. Each wanting the other but both leery due to those misconstrued believes they both hold. Will they finally talk and put it all out there, clearing the air and the way for a chance at happiness or will they stay the course?

Harley fights to show her he is worth the risks. Piper fights to keep her wall up. Harley will have to prove to her that he is who she needs and she is who he needs and wants and is willing to fight for.

If you are a fan of friends-to-lovers in a small town setting, then She Loves Me is the perfect book for you! Piper Dalton works construction and her best friend in town is Harley Dutch, a local bartender. Piper and Harley have been flirting with each other for years, but never took the next step.

Piper has been hurt in the past, and she's not willing to risk her heart in a serious relationship. Harley has had feelings for Piper forever and only wants her to see how much he cares for. When Harley gets into an accident and hurts his ankle, Piper has to help care for him as well as his nieces.

I loved how Piper and Harley slowly came around to each other. Their interactions were funny, sweet and sexy all at the same time. These two individuals care so much about each other, but each have their own hang ups that they have to get past.

Harley is gruff manly man on the outside but a total teddy bear on the outside. I admired how he always wanted to take care of everyone around him. Piper is a bit more prickly, but once you find out her back story it makes more sense. But when Harley wants more than Piper can give him, will their love be enough?

I enjoyed this sweet small town friends to lovers romance. Overall I would give She Loves Me 3.5 stars.

She Loves Me is hands down the best book of the entire Harmony Pointe series. This book had me laughing and swooning from the very start. Harley and Piper are PERFECTION!

Piper Dalton is strong, sassy, stubborn and I couldn’t love her any more that I already do! Harley is sweet, strong, determined and how can you not love that man?! Plus, Jiggsy! The sweetest dog in the world. Harley is injured and needs someone to help him out, so who better than his friend Piper? Of course, when you’re constantly around someone feelings develop or come to the surface.
I was living for the banter between Harley and Piper. It was perfect and just felt so natural for them. Their friendship was fantastic and they had such a good flow with each other. Of course, there is no denying their INSANELY HOT chemistry. It was jumping off the pages.

Piper’s and Harley’s relationship with his nieces was sweet. I loved how much the cared for them, especially Piper. She wanted to help, of course, she needed some advice from her sisters. I love the sense of family and how much they want to help Piper.

She Loves Me is a MUST READ!

First thing first: This is one of the few friends to lover trope that I truly enjoyed.

I rarely want to read this trope because I'm quite sceptical and tough with it. My expectation of relationship development for friends to lover is so high! However, this book nailed it and most probably because I've already got their tension/banter from 2 previous book therefore when I'm reading this I just can feel their love blooming for each other.

Added with a good story that includes family & friends interaction without them being ridiculous/ nosy/annoying is an A+ for me. What I love was when I get to know the H/h through their personality/feelings/insecurity because sometimes authors was to caught up in getting the relationship 'ON' that they forget to give them that.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
I have waited for Piper and Harley's story and I have to say that I loved it. They are my favorite couple so far.
Piper hasn't been the girlie girl for a while. She is part-owner of the construction company and is better with a hammer in her hand than with heels on her feet. She also isn't the marrying type. She likes Harley but would never lead him on to think there could ever be anything between them.
Harley Dutch came back home when his dad got sick to help with the family bar. He has liked Piper for years but she doesn't fall for his flirty comments.
When Harley gets hurt, Piper is the one to the rescue and the one to take care of him. While she is at his house, she will renovate his bathroom so it will be easier for a man his size to move around easier. As Harley and Piper spend more time together, he knows he is falling for her but Piper keeps hiding her feelings. Oh, she believes in love just not marriage.
Can Harley convince her that they belong together? Will Piper see that Harley is not going to hurt her? Will they be able to make a life for a happily ever after?
I love this series and each book that deals with the Dalton siblings as they find love. But Piper has been the one I have been waiting for and her and Harley's story was worth waiting for. I was not disappointed and I recommend this series and anything from author Melissa Foster.

Cinnamon Roll hero, Harley, has to care for 2 teenage girls (which is enough to make anyone crazy) and his best friend Piper steps up to help. Piper is very anti-commitment. She had her heart broken and has decided that it will never happen again. To ensure it, she doesn't let people get close. Thankfully, Harley is not shy and is willing to push Piper into seeing what a great thing they have. Harley hits high on my "reasons to love a Hero" list: devoted, loyal, determined, softy for those he loves. Piper got on my nerves quite a bit though, and that kept me from really loving this book. However, I have loved this series and really wanted to see how She Loves Me would play out.

3.5⭐

Harley and Piper have different love languages. I liked reading about Harley. He was the hopeless romantic person in the relationship. He could also understand Piper's love language.

I wish Marshall's appearance had come sooner so his character could be more developed. He had a packed storyline, but we didn't get to know him.

Many challenging topics are discussed throughout the story; cancer, loss of loved ones, stillbirth, depression, and mental illness.

This has to have been my favorite of this series, and to be honest I wash shocked with myself for having requested it, since I didn't care for the previous two book. But all in all it was enough to past the time. We get reacquainted with Piper and Harley who have been friends for years. So while Piper helps Harley recover from a hurt ankle you know what happens when two attractive and attracted to each other friends spend time together , yup you guessed they start developing feelings. so is it worth it to pass the friends zone?

I might continue it another time, I’m not sure yet. But for now I’m putting this aside. It was really hard to get into the audiobook with a male narrator for both characters. I have to keep reminding me it was the heroine’s POV all the damn time. It was annoying to say the least.

Piper and Harley have got me crazy in love with romance. Foster continues to take readers, like myself, out of their heads and put them in touch with their heart. This time around the heroine has a story to tell that spotlights the heartache of following your heart, despite what others think. Piper is a uniquely beautiful soul. A hard outer shell with a fragile center, she has a penchant to underestimate her greatest asset. Her sensitive heart. The bad boy of her dreams could be just what she needs to open her eyes. From sugary sweet to heartbreakingly real, She Loves Me is an exercise in honest, heartwarming, captivating storytelling.
