My fate was happily sealed when I tried my hand at writing for the first time in second grade. Many years later, I picked the bug up again and tried to write about what I know: good friends, art, antiques, and small towns.

Fun read

Fun, dogs and murder abound! Things can't get any better or any worse as Sonya and her earthly and ghostly friends work together to solve two murders.

Light and Fun Read

Easy reading with a plot that kept me guessing. Ghost dogs and the ghost characters were laughable. Lots of typos

I love this fun, quirky series and I've been wanting a follow-up since I read The Ghost in Mr. Pepper's Bed. This one lived up to (and maybe even surpassed) the first in the series, it was that good! Quirky, well drawn characters, a quaint small town and a riviting plot made this one fantastic read!

I love Sonya, from her cute little house to her toodling around on her Vespa with dog Willard in the back and ghostly friend Fritz on the handlebars to her knack for solving crimes alongside her Sheriff friend Zeb and his crew. I love how well the ghosts are woven into the story. They tell their tales, but the actual crime solving comes down to good ol' fashioned detective work. I love that so many cozy mystery tropes are absent (no "stay home, don't investigate, it's dangerous"! kind of stuff that are so disingenuous and patronizing in a story. None of that here!). and although the other characters don't necessarily *believe* Sonya, they don't ridicule her or get snide about it. It's just accepted. I also loved that the dogs have their own communication network and they even got into doing some of the detecting! This series is so stinkin' adorable in every way.

But the plot! Total page turner, with lots of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. There were several suspects and this was one of those books where each chapter has you suspecting someone else. It was all wrapped up in a satisfying conclusion and I admit, I got a bit misty reading the last chapter. Bittersweet, to be sure!

Overall, a great follow-up to an equally great debut and this series is at the top of my Can't-Wait list.

A very cute mystery. A murder occurs and the story line is all about Posh Pup annual event. The owners of the Posh Pup are at odds with each other. When one is murdered in the house of her brother, everything goes crazy. Sonya, the local person who has visions and sees and talks to ghosts, sees the murdered woman and knows she is worried about her brother. Lots of people are involved and all are lovable. Well, most, except for the murdered but we don’t know who that is. There are ghosts who come when called by Sonya and they get involved along with a ghost dog named Beast. It is a delightful story with no graphic sex or language. A nice break from my usual genre of murder and mayhem. Treat yourself and read all of this author’s books. They are well worth the read.

A ‘light’, fun read

It is like a Hallmark story...attractive, kind people solving a crime with the help of their much loved dogs and a ghost or two. I would love Sonya to be my neighbor...her home and garden are picture perfect and she bakes! This is the kind of book that I like to read in between book club selections...a little, enjoyable fantasy where good prevails over evil.

Willow Valley Cozy Mysteries 2

I loved this ghostly series, I waited so long for book 2 to be written, and it was worth the wait. Well written and unfortunately the way it ended this may be the final in this series, which makes me sad. I enjoyed this book and was hoping for further development of the characters.

I would highly recommend this book and series. I also would recommend Sigrid's other Cozy Mystery.

I hope this is not the end.

Great read! Loved it.

I loved this book. The characters are great and fun to get to know. Sigrid gives the reader just the right amount of suspense to keep you turning the pages. This one kept me guessing until the end. I hope she keeps writing this series.
