Sir Chocolate and the Ice Cream Rainbow Fairies Story and Cookbook is the 7th book in this series written by Robbie Cheadle and her kids. I've read all of the previous books, plus I've read several of the author's short stories and full-length young adult novels. Robbie is a talented writer and I love sharing reviews and samples of her books. Let's chat a bit about this new release...

Something is amiss with the rainbows... Sir Chocolate and Lady Sweet must investigate. When they do, they learn that the fairies who create the beautiful splendor are sick. Our hero and heroine save the day, and then the rainbows are restored. During the time the fairies are sick, Sir Chocolate creates tons of new interesting ice cream flavors to share with the world. Some look good... some seem a little weird. But we wouldn't know for sure until we tried them, right? Here's where you get to sample some of the recipes and create a few treats for yourself.

The Cheadles are creative. The stories are fun. The treats look delicious. This is a great way to spend quality time with kids and promote kindness, literacy, baking skills, and companionship. I bought several of the books for my cousins and shared them earlier this year. I can't wait to see what they post online. I also can't wait to see what happens with Sir Chocolate in the next round of books. Go check 'em out now!

What fun it must be to live in Chocolate Land where the rain tastes like milkshake - and not boring flavours like vanilla and strawberry, but banana-toffee, peachy-marmelade, honey or nuts. And then one day, the rain is all white and the rainbow pale. Sir Chocolate and Lady Sweet set off to discover what is the problem and Sir Chocolate gets a chance to make his own flavours of rain. The fairies made from fondant are very pretty and the recipes are very tempting. We're definitely making the blondies!

This book is part of a series, but this is the first book I've read. It's super cute! The author is quite talented in telling tales through rhyming poetry. In the first section of this book, you learn about Sir Chocolate and the Ice Cream Rainbow Fairies. Each character is beautifully described, and the plot creates a wonderful read for children (of all ages).

Following the story are several recipes that will delight any baker - blissful blondies, fantastic fudge balls, cheese and bacon scones, strawberry jelly cupcakes, and beautiful biscotti. This is a great book for a parent and child to read together and then spend hours of fun making the recipes. I highly recommend this book to parents with young children and to anyone who enjoys baking. :-)

Treat yourself to a delightful confection of rhyming poetry, photos of creative fondant, all ensconced in a playful story featuring fairies, rainbows, and fanciful flavors of ice cream.

The author, who works in high finance by day, gives expression to her creative side in this book, tasty Sir Chocolate and the Ice Cream Rainbow and Fairies Story, part of a series. Recipes are included in this book with colorful photos, including cheese and bacon scones, fudge balls, and strawberry jelly cupcakes.

I can imagine parents and grandparents enjoying baking the recipes or simply reading the rhymes together. Excellent gift idea!

I love seeing Ms. Cheadle’s cooking creations on social media. They are always fun and creative. When it was time to buy my granddaughters a gift, I knew a book about fairies and cooking would be the perfect fit for my four- and five-year-old grandkids. Before wrapping the book up, I read it. I was charmed with the story, loved the recipes, and impressed mother and son wrote it. I look forward to reading this with my youngest grandchildren and then picking a recipe to make together. This is a great combination book to give as a present!

As soon as I opened this book, I felt like I was entering Candyland, my favorite board game as a child. Children will love the colorful characters. I am going to try the Fantastic Fudge Balls recipe. Now, I'm hungry!

This is a yummy storybook that made my mouth water. Kids will love it and all the lovely fairies on each page. It is written in a delightful and musical rhyme.

The author wrote a creative and entertaining series for young children to enjoy. With her expertise in creating fondant art she has brought this story to life for all to see. At the end of the book there is a cookbook with wonderful confections to bake and enjoy. I will be definitely trying some of these soon.

I received a copy of this book without compensation and chose to review it.
