I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

Mama stripper on an alien planet!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😳🤬😏🤓😎

The heroine: Autumn - she works at a strip club on an alien planet called Wauru. She is hiding out from a past she doesn’t want to think about. A past where she was abducted from Earth and forced to become the tribute bride of a brutal alien. She escaped and has been hiding out for years with her daughter.

The Hero(s): Sorsir - A Kalixian warrior, who was taken captive along with his fellow warrior by the Orkans who they have been at war with. The Orkans wanted them to fight each other to the death in a Gladiator ring since the Kalixians are known for their fighting skills. However, the Kalixians escaped along with the tribute brides and have been on Wauru since the escape working to get a ship to return to their home planet.

The Story: Autumn is scared that the Orkan warlord that she escaped from will find her and when a mercenary working for the warlord finds her, Sosir saves her and says he wants only to protect her. Though she is afraid of all aliens and has no trust left.

This book was told in dual points of view and with dual narration and narrated by Meg Price and C.J. Grey. The narration was very good and the voices of both narrators matched the characters perfectly. I tend to look for books with both a male and a female narrator since audiobooks are so expensive, it helps when the narration is what you want. Though I do like duet narration the best (when the males do all the male characters and the females do all the female, no matter whose POV the chapter is in).

The story was good and the romance was both endearing and steamy. This series is more about the romance than the side storylines, but there have been good side stories in each of the books. I would definitely listen to more books from this series.

At first I was like, "what the hell...? 5 years just passed by out of nowhere" but no, this is the story of a human woman that was kidnapped 5 years ago by those gross aliens. She has no other option but to become a stripper to maintain her life on that foreign planet. Consent was strongly mentioned again, I have a feeling it will be in every book. And it's sooooo lovey dovey, Jeez.

Whenever I'm in the mood for a sweet, smutty sci-fi read, Presley Hall's books never disappoint, and this one was no exception! Sorsir and Autumn were adorable, and the steam in the book was delicious. Exactly what I needed :)

Ok book 3 is over and it was the sexiest!!!! Wow I'm on fire !!! I know the serie is not over but damn this baby over here was IT and was BLOODY STEAMY!!! Autumn and Sorsir are made for each other and they're literally the cutest !!!! This book was everything and I still got butterflies from those scenes, I swear it was magical and spectacular! Autumn is a single mom who's hiding her daughter and Sorsir is just being an alpha warrior and we love that. The way he sees her, he loves her and protected her daughter and herself is everything I was looking for. Sorsir is probably one of the most protective, hot, kind and savages alien from this series and I'm down for this. ❤ anyway I will go check out book 4 and I'm the meantime go read this series guys ! It's one of the best !!!

4 / 5 stars. TW: MENTIONS OF RAPE.

Oh. My. God. Presley Hall is doing the goddamn thing! I am absolutely loving this series. In terms of this particular book, Autumn being a single mother to an alien/human baby was intriguing and allowed for Hall to make a point that strength and bravery aren't measured by muscles or heroic acts, but by the sacrifices we're willing to make for other people, which I really admire. Sorsir and Autumn's relationship was sweet and loving, and the smut? Impeccable, as always with Hall's books.

Also, throughout the series, Hall has been stressing the importance of consent, which I love and appreciate so much! In this genre of paranormal romance/erotica, I've read scenes where consent is implied rather than given, and that obviously doesn't sit right with me. These are fantasies, but there's always going to be an element of realism with human and human-like characters, so I applaud Hall for repeatedly emphasizing the importance of consent!!

Rescued would've been a five-star read for me if Sorsir and Autumn's relationship moved a bit slower. It's weird because it does actually take a few weeks for the two to get together, but there's not really an explanation of how time is passing, so everything felt like it was moving too fast. I wish we spent less time in Autumn and Sorsir's heads and more time seeing them interact, thus allowing for their courtship to marinate more before they were "in love."

Despite that, however, this was definitely worth the read (and can be read as a stand-alone)! All of the premises for the next books sound incredible, and I can't wait to read Bound when it comes out tonight!

I freaking LOVED this book!

Everything. I loved everything. Autumn and Chloe, the bravery to survive alone on an alien world, although farfetched, was wonderfully imagined. Sorsir comes into his own, he's on like a hero's journey, and he was killing it. Autumn had a lot of bad stuff to get over, and she had to learn to share her load, but it didn't come easy for her. Sorsir, he might just be my favorite Kalaxian warrior yet. The fight scenes were brutal, the intimate scenes were hot, everything was descriptive enough to feel like I was seeing if first hand. This story ties into the previous ones, all highly readable, hard to put down, completely enjoyable stories!

It felt like a repeat of the 2 previous books, human woman and alien man attracted to each other and they are fated mates. This story shows what could have happened to the women if they hadn't been rescued and had had children from their abductors, so it had some variation.

Oh and I found myself skimming the love scenes, it seemed all the same as the others with the last scene having a little twist. I would rather skip through to the next steps in the storyline.

But the constant inner dialogue in denial of the women's feelings towards the hero and the maneuvering of the men to take care of them and keep them- very similar. The story does progress, with the last small % of the story takes you to the next story. And, I am hooked again. Dang it. I was going to stop at this one for a break but the next story seems too good.

It will be different since the heroine wants the bond this time but the hero (Prince) knows nothing about it. So this should be fun :)

I don't like it when children are used as props and nothing more. I would have liked to see Sorsir (hero) and Chloe (prop child) interact more. Normally I don't go for the single parent trope to begin with but sometimes, if done right, I can work with it.
Other than that I was totally bored with this. I was bored the smut. Geeze, that's a painful statement.
But will I continue with the series? Why yes of course.

So I love the Kalixians. I totally do.

But I have to give this story 4.5* and I'll tell you why.

So, in short, Sorsir is a very young male on the team, full of cockyness and adrenaline, careless, flirty, sassy, so your very hot neighbour that works out in the open and drives a great car - kinda guy. And he loooves the ladies.

So here comes Autumn, who works in a night club he goes to at evenings (to check her out, not in a creepy way, just smiling and appreciating her beauty...and hair), she ran away from the Orkun, has a kid because she was raped there before she escaped, so she lives in this constant fear and in hiding and she's saving up money to get away from the planet with her daughter.

Sorsir saves her from her stalkers, they meet, he falls in love and convinces her to come live with him so she'll be safer. He accepts her daughter, gives them shelter, food, protection. They get to know each other, have amazing sex, he's friendly, gentle, caring, hot of course...

That's why for the life of me I don't understand why, WHY she took a step back when she saw him fight in the arena. He was practically defending her. Because a few days later, when she tried to leave him (without telling him), he also protected her from the Orkuns chasing her. I mean, what did she think he was, who is rescuing her all the time? A WARRIOR, that's what he's good at. That's what he does. What's the thinking? And I definitely felt sorry for him, he didn't deserve her checking out like that, just running to the docks and leaving with her kid. She put them all in danger and Sorsir gladly accepted the task of protecting her... girl, what more do you want??

That bothered me so, so much, I just had to write it down.

Other than that I love that a child was involved in the story and i just loved how her life drastically improved since meeting Sorsir. She was accepted by the Kalixians because of him (and Tordax) and he fought for them both.

So Sworsie is kinda smokin' hot. It takes guts to accept another man's kid and treat it like your own.
Yeah, that's hot.

(Khm khm, the sex is steamy. Very hot. He's also a green-eyed hottie.)

I received an advanced reading copy of this book. I love all the books in this series by Presley Hall and this one does not disappoint! (I find myself saying that a lot with recent books I’ve reviewed, but it’s the truth!) Alien guys who are easy on the eyes, protective of their mates, and kind to children? Sign me up!

So, to break it down on a five star scale (5 is the best or most):

Grammar/editing - 5 - I did not notice any misspellings or mistakes.

Plot - 5 - The author has taken a familiar trope and presented it in a fresh way. It’s not boringly formulaic.

Length - 4 - Ended at location 2,831 on the Kindle app. I prefer longer books. I like it even better when the word count is in the description, but I can’t have everything I want, lol. There was so much going on that it didn’t read too short, but I hated that it ended so soon.

Romance - 5 - Sweet 🧁 AND spicy 🌶. That’s all I’m saying 😏

Profanity - 3ish - Very creative alien curse words 😂

Action/Violence - 3 - Nothing too gory or intense. Mainly directed toward the bad guys (that magically justifies it 😂) with a little bit alluded to in the heroine’s past.

Cheating - None

Cliffhanger - Wellllllll...more like a teaser. No cliffie for our main characters, but the setup for the next character couple ends with me highly anticipating the next book.

All in all, I would add this book to my favorites list and watch out for future additions to this series. (Or others, if Ms. Hall is feeling brave...🤓)

Fated Mates of the Kalixian Warriors

I just had the pleasure of finishing the first three books of Pressley Hall’s series: Fated Mates
of the Kalixian Warriors. These books have everything: action, adventure, exploration, romance, and lots of passion. Before you start these books, may I suggest you get yourself a
cold drink, sit in a comfortable chair and make sure the room is air-conditioned or at least has
a good ceiling fan. These Kalixian Warriors are HOT!!!!! …. And,as Elvis sang “a hunka hunka burning love.”

Book one: Claimed is Tordax and Rose’s story. Tordax is the Commander of the Alpha Force. Both he and Rose meet while prisoners of the Scourge of the Galaxy, The Orkun. The Alpha Force are superior fighters/gladiators, really, who battle with swords and spears. They have been fighting the Orkun for decades. Years before, the Orkun tried, but were unable to conquer the Kalixian home planet. However, they introduced a vicious, fatal virus into Kalixian society. It killed all the very young females and those of child-bearing age. The Kalixian males are men of honor and integrity. Tall, handsome and dedicated, they mate for life and believe that their mates are fated: that they and their mates will feel this mystical bond between them when they meet the right one. A fated mate is called an Irisa. The two vow to each other: “My soul has recognized yours.”

Now that their women are dead, all the male Kalixians recognize they are the last of their civilization and vow to fight to the last man to destroy the Orkun. The Kalixians have fought countless battles with their archenemies. In a recent battle, the Alpha Force were overcome and taken prisoner due to Orkun superior military hardware.

Rose Brewer, a woman from earth is down on her luck. She’s lost her job, is dead broke and is about to be evicted. Her bad day gets even worse when she’s drugged and abducted by The Orkun. She wakes up in a cell, surrounded by about another dozen Terran women (from Earth)
and learns she and they are about to be given to Orkun Warlords as Tribute Brides. Even more upsetting is the fact that she has been betrayed by her own government, given as a “bribe” to stop the Orkun from conquering Earth.

The Orkun live to destroy, conquer, murder and pillage. They are hated by every race except for their own. Truly evil, they have leathery, wart-encrusted skin, pushed in faces with tusks and hunchbacks. Before they conduct their mating ceremony with the Terran Tribute brides, they demand to be entertained with bloodsport and gladiatorial warfare by the Kalixian prisoners. The Kalixians have another plan. When Tordax steps into the arena to fight, he sees Rose and is immediately and irrevocably drawn to his Irisa. The adventure and passion begins.

Claimed captured my interest from the first. In fact, I enjoyed all three books so much, I didn’t want to put them down and got way too little sleep while devouring them….staying up too late to read “Just one more chapter.” The books are cleverly written: all the characters are introduced (at least by name) in the first book. The “heroines” of the three stories, while not muscular warriors, are strong, independent, and determined to not only to fight and survive, but to thrive. They don’t believe in fate or mystical bonds and they go through a lot of upheaval and challenges. These are stories about the clash of two entirely different civilizations. Together they face a seemingly impossible adversary. These women and their Warriors have to learn to not only understand each other, communicate, work together, but most importantly trust each other. From that trust in some cases comes very strong and lasting love.

For books two and three: Stolen and Rescued, I am only going to mention the names of the warriors, not their mates. I don’t want to give away the stories. I want you to enjoy and discover them yourselves.
Stolen is the story of Malav, 2nd in command to Tordax. Malav is the strong silent type – an older powerful warrior who is honorable and dependable. He and Tordax have been friends for many years and trust each other implicitly. After escaping the Orkun in book one, the Alpha Force and the Terran women crash land on the plantet Wauru. Their space ship is destroyed and the Warriors realize they can fight and earn money to purchase another to return to their home planet. In the meantime, they are trying to keep a low profile and and hide from the Orkun. Malav finds his own Irisa, but they are both very strong willed and clash constantly. Each of them has a secret. They disappear suddenly and none of the Alpha Force knows if they are alive or dead.

Together they face a terrifying and life-threatening situation. Both believe their life is heading toward a predetermined and unavoidable end. What makes this book so delightful, both come to realize that nothing is written in stone and that together they can have a truly amazing life.

Rescued is the story of Sorsir, one of the youngest members of the Alpha Force. A wonderful fighter, he is often impulsive and hot-headed. Well liked by his Alpha Force members, in the arena he’s often told by Tordax and Malav to be more in control of himself and feels that they don’t trust and respect him. Rescued is the story of his metamorphosis from a person with potential to a quintessential Kalixian warrior – strong, resilient, trustworthy and a true hero. His Irisa has been through several horrific experiences that would have completely broken a lesser person. She is in constant danger – both from the Orkun warlord “husband” from whom she’s escaped and a crime lord on Wauru who stole all her money, cheated her and wants to extort more money from her. Sorsir becomes her champion and her love….really great love story.

I wasn’t ready for this series to be over. The wonderful news is, it’s not! There are more fabulous Kalixian Warriors stories available from Pressley Hall, so I and you too, possibly can
continue to feed your Kalixian Warrior addiction. Happy Reading!

Autumn has been living on Wauru, an Outpost planet, for many years now. After being abducted by the Orkuns and married off to one of them, she managed to escape with the help of an alien. However, she now finds herself indebted to this alien, who has increased the amount she owes beyond their original agreement. To earn enough credits to escape unnoticed, Autumn works as a dancer on Wauru, hoping to leave both the Outpost and the alien who threatens to send her back to her husband. She’s not alone in her plight; her previous marriage resulted in a daughter, a sweet little girl who is half-Human and half-Orkun. As Autumn works tirelessly, she becomes aware of a Kalixian warrior who appears every night to watch her dance. Why does he keep coming back? And why is she so attracted to him?

I’m going to be honest: I had difficulty getting into this one. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but I struggled with the portrayal of the main character as a single parent, especially since the child seemed more like a prop than a fully developed character. The story might've worked just as well without her. Although Chloe was endearing, she didn’t seem to contribute significantly to the narrative. The relationship between Autumn and Chloe felt somewhat forced, and I didn’t quite feel the depth of their bond. However, I did find the second part of the story more compelling than the first.

There’s a small girl in her arms, not more than three or four years old, by my calculations. A child. My Irisa has a child.-Sorsir

Autumn was a sweet and selfless woman who endured a great deal. Unlike the women in previous installments who were rescued before the Orkuns’ ceremony, she wasn’t so fortunate. She spent months married to an Orkun who treated her like a slave in many ways. Initially, she was fearful and wary of Sorsir, especially since his interest in her was something she couldn’t fully grasp. Her past trauma made it hard for her to trust aliens easily. However, it was heartening to see her gradually open up to him and come to accept his genuine devotion.

“Autumn, I ache for you in a way that I’ve never ached for any woman,” I tell her, my gaze fixed on hers. “I want you so much it hurts. But I won’t take you until you’re certain. When you’ve accepted the mate bond between us—if you accept that bond—then I will make you mine. But until then, I will not claim you.”-Sorsir

As for Sorsir, he was a young and cocky warrior who didn't fully understand the pull he had for Autumn right away. But the more he watched her, the more he felt like protecting her, wishing to get closer. When he saw that she had a child, he quickly accepted that having Autumn as his fated mate would mean having Chloe as a step-daughter. He was protective of both of them. And it was nice to see him get more mature after meeting the two of them. I think I would've liked for him to spend more time with Chloe. We don't really get to see him interact with her much, and everything was still focused on him and Autumn, and like I mentioned, Chloe was more of a prop.

I want to prove to her, to myself, and to everyone that I’m not only a young, impulsive warrior. I can be a good mate. I can be what she needs.-Sorsir

When it comes to the relationship between Autumn and Sorsir, it was pretty gradual. Their intimacy was really centered on her pleasure since she had previous trauma and Sorsir wanted to make sure she was comfortable. He was a very generous lover and very sweet.

I am completely devouring this series!! It’s so great!
There’s a few minor issues with each story which is why they all seem to be getting 4* instead of 5, but really minor….

First, I liked this story a lot because it dealt with a different human female, not from the original group. It was a bit rougher than the last couple stories since this human female was not only taken as an Orkun bride, but was held prisoner by her Orkun “husband” for many months, and endured unspeakable trauma and repeated sexual assaults. I also like that the Kalixian was one of the youngest and most reckless of the warriors and not one I expected to meet their mate. It showed how a mate compliments your personality by bringing forth strengths and help to balance out weaknesses. It was a learning curve for both of these 2 MC. Autumn needed to learn to trust again as well as overcome some major past trauma. Sorsir was immature and had to become more responsible and learn to think before acting.

I did not understand why Autumn was being hunted by a crime lord, that storyline made zero sense to me. She offered to pay a shady guy/ crime lord for a ride to earth (once escaping her Orkun husband). He takes her part way and then tries to scam her for more money. She cannot pay so she leaves and he does not take her to earth. I don’t see how he lost money on this deal or why he has spent YEARS tracking her down, saying she owes him. She did not pay for a service and so he did not provide the service. Where is lost money? He has to know she has no way to pay. So he wants to return her for ransom? How crazy much is the ransom that it was worth years of his time to track her down. I did not understand this. Although it’s a make believe alien book so it probably doesn’t follow normal rational but still… no sense.

Anyway I DID LOVE the epilogue (click on link at end of book). It really added some closure on the topic of having more children together yet still loving Chloe just as much as the future kids. That Chloe is just as important to Sorsir as Autumn is, was definitely a topic that needed to be covered, which was really sweet.

A wonderful way to pass a hot summer night💖

I really would like a Kalixian warrior of my very own 💖💖 this is Sorsir's story and he's one of the elite warriors under Tordax from the first book. He's much younger and more impetuous more the x but first ask questions later type of male. He happens into a bar after one of their rights and sees a woman dancing on stage. She human and not one of the females rescued in their escape from the Orkun. He goes back night after night he feels a strong pull a need to be near her but it doesn't seem on him why at view. Autumn, was captured or given unwillingly to the Orkun 5 years ago and unfortunately she did not escape having to mate the disgusting brute that took her for a bride. At one point it's so bad that she wishes for death until she finishes d's out she's pregnant. At that point it's escape or death for both of them. She would never allow the Orkun to have her child . She escapes but do to very dangerous circumstances she ends up stranded on this godforsaken planet dancing to keep her daughter fed. When she and Sorsir meet its burning passions end fire from the get go! There are misunderstandings, danger, and so much fear from situations of the past that this couple has a lot of work ahead of them. But we sat h them grow as a couple, lean to trust and ultimately accept the soul bound love that was ment for them. The only thing I would have enjoyed more is more time spent development on Autumn's daughter Chloe she was so adorable. Over all great story I can't wait for the next one💖💖💖💖💖

Great plot and messages despite violence and dark past of the heroine

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language sporadically, adult intimate scenes and violence.

This story is part of an alien warrior series that should be read in order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are reoccurring characters and themes.

I can’t resist a good alien romance and Sorsin’s story has a great plot with solid characters and themes of acceptance regardless of biology.

I almost didn’t rate this 5 stars because it didn’t deal with and close out definitively one of the main plots, but then I realized that was really more of the long term plot against their mortal enemies. There was almost like a substitute made with the ship captain, I just wish her past had been dealt with a little more.

Sorry I am trying not to give away any spoilers so the comments are deliberately vague. Despite her background, I enjoyed the story and found it a great addition to the series and if you like alien romances with good action and messages, I think you will like this story and series.

From hesitation to trust

Sorsir and Autumn’s story is filled with so many mountains and obstacles to climb over to get to the other side but throughout it all, his love for her and her daughter conquers all.

Autumn has survived and lived through so much pain and turmoil from becoming with child by her Okrun husband to runners from O’Haza after being cheated of her money to escape. She had no choice but to work in a gentleman’s club to save up money to get her daughters someplace safe.

Sorsir is part of the Alpha Force who sees Autumn dancing one night after his fight was complete for the night. There’s something about the red headed goddess that draws him in to continue going back just to see her again and again.

What begins as hesitation from Autumn to proving trustworthy from Sorsir, their love story is built on honesty and faithfulness. Sorsir accepts Autumn and Chloe as his new family and will go to the end of the world for them both. Be prepared for a story filled with excitement, intimacy, and passion!

Autumn was abducted from Earth and having eventually escaped the Orkun warlord who took her for his bride, she has been hiding on Wauru dancing in a bar in order to survive. She always keeps her head down in order to avoid attention from anyone else, but that changes when Kalixian warrior Sorsir sees her. From the first moments they meet, there is something between them both and he looks at her like she is the most precious thing he has ever seen. He insists he wants to take care of her and protect her, but he has a surprise coming as she has a daughter. When he meets her will he feel the same way about Autumn?

I enjoyed this story with the added jeopardy of an unexpected child into the mix. I also enjoyed the way that Sorsir made sure that it was all about her until she was sure for them to "seal the deal" and move on to proper sex. I loved the way that Sorsir was with her daughter as to how she was treated as his own child even though she was half of his enemy by blood. An enjoyable story that was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

If the kid wasn't a part of the book, very little would change. Almost zero interactions between the MMC and the kid, and the ones we have are narrated, since we see them from the fMC's point of view. If you're going to put a kid in the story, make them an important part of it, no just a prop. Also, the author seems to have forgotten the description of the Kalixian's living space in previous books, because in this book they have like individual mini apartments, but in the other two books they were described more like rooms in a bigger house. Sorsir doesn't have much personality to talk about. And c'mon, this guy has no friends in the group of warriors with whom he has been living for years? Why? The little we know about him suggests otherwise, but we don't see anything of him outside of his relationship with Autumn, and as a result we see nothing of the other warriors that might engage my curiosity to read about them, so I won't read another book in this series.

A human woman, Autumn, has escaped her Orkun captors, had the child she was carrying Chloe, and been found by a Kalixian warrior.

She is hiding from the criminal she got a ride from, who wants to sell her back to the Orkun for more than she paid him for the passage. She has been dancing in a Cantons for money to live on and save for passage to a safer planet before they are found. But on her way home one night she was followed, by a creep who worked for the criminal, but also by the warrior who proceeds to destroy the criminal once he puts hands on her. Then the warrior, Sordid, takes her to her home and she collects her daughter then he insists they come with him to a safer location. Can he keep her safe from both the criminal and the Orkun? Will she find a way off planet? There is a lot of battles and some misunderstandings before a happy ending.

Brilliant. This series just keeps getting better and better. I have been impatiently waiting for this book to be released, then bam - ARC! My lucky day.
The characters and writing style in this series just keep getting more polished and well rounded with every publication. As the series progresses, it's more about the story and the emotions than the physical stuff between the characters. There are still plenty of steamy parts, and now they flow better with the story.
I read this whole book in one go, and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. If you like alien love stories, RUN don't walk to get the first two books. You can totally read all the books as stand alones, but I am really enjoying the continuing storylines that weave throughout the whole series.

So, Autumn and Sorsir! Another great couple, another great story! I liked Sorsir. He is different, wild, many times acting on impulse, however, having only everyone's best interests in his mind. Autumn is sweet and innocent, but being captured by the Orcun and having to escape and raise her daughter alone made her tough. Sorsir has to accept his Irisa's past and her half-Orcun child if he wants to earn her, and Autumn has to overcome her fears and her past. This is a sweet story with some very steamy scenes (that in the shower, just wow). However, I gave it 4 stars because when Autumn got trapped by O'Hozos thugs, Kalixian warriors were supposed to accompany her and Lucy to the market as per in previous books. Suffice it to say, I can't wait for Emma's and Prince's story!!! <3

I'm very new to Presley Hall's books, but has she convinced me to STAY!
I love a good alpha male, single mom book, but this just knocked it out of the park. It's so cute, and so swoonworthy that it actually convinced me to write a review and I NEVER write reviews EVER.

It is so touching, I mean he's not this perfect guy and neither is she(though in her case it's understandable) but they work so well. He's so loving and patient and caring and I could go on forever.....

And she's so brave and strong and persistent and I love her very much. She deserves to be happy after all that she went through!

There are triggers for sure, like her brutal experience with her "husband" and his violence.

But overall, it was AMAZING and just what I wanted!

Nice.

It was a decent read. The storyline was good enough. I liked that it had significant differences from previous books in the series. I skipped past the sex scenes - too long and they didn’t add anything to the story.

**spoilers**
I guess it’s realistic how her daughter was a little cøckb!öcker but I felt sorry for the h&H… welcome to the rest of your lives 😂
The heroine annoyed me a little when she ran away, I just couldn’t understand how that made sense at all, and she was just lucky to avoid getting herself into a really bad position.

Overall it was a decent read and I will read the next.

I really enjoyed this book. Sorsir is one of the Kalixians and he notices a dancer named Autumn. She was an Orkun bride and unfortunately went through the ceremony the result being her four year old daughter Chloe. She’s reasonably very untrusting of aliens and so when he tries to protect her from some gangsters she’s in trouble with. He convinces her to come with him but is terrified. He knows she’s his mate and is worried that he’ll ruin things by pushing her too fast. I think this book just handled trauma really well and his relationship with Chloe was sooooo cute. The epilogue has peaked my interest too.

Autumn was kidnapped from Earth and forced to wed a Orkun warrior. She escaped from him but not before becoming pregnant. Now her sole purpose is to protect her daughter and herself from being recaptured. She trusts no one especially alien males. Working as a dancer at a club she tries to keep a low profile.
Sorsir and his fellow Kalixian's are stranded until they can earn enough money to repair their ship. Sorsir goes to the club Autumn is dancing at and one look and he knows she is his fated mate. Now all he has to do is convince Autumn.

The book was a good read, short, sweet, exciting and fun romance in a sci fi world. I've gotten into the single parent romance world before, so going into this one i was excited to see how it would turn out with the Kalixians and their fated mates. I wasn't disappointed. The romance, and dedication I've come to crave from these alien men was all there. As was the adventure, even though these books are short, they all have some fun tussles that the pair must overcome to be together. It was also nice to find a new Terran that wasn't apart of the original group.

More steamy than 50 shades of Grey, but storyline is unique and fantastic... the aliens are very quickly like a family and each book has its own unique story while continuing the overall story. Makes you want to read the next book to find out what happens next... and makes you want to speed ready the steamy scenes to find out what happens next as the overall story line us so good. Would be nice to see what this writer can write without having the steamy scenes.... just keeping it all clean.. Writer gets right at the heart of each unique character and their story,
