Janet Philbin takes you on a journey of healing and Self Awareness that lets you know you are not alone in the process. The book is easy to read and implement into your own life. Reading about the Spiral of Healing helped me understand that healing comes from different levels of growth from healing and why we sometimes encounter healing the same wound from different levels of awareness. Janet shares her own healing experience, offers journal prompts for your own growth. This book is written as if Janet is speaking directly to the reader. I thoroughly appreciate reading this book now, at a time when I can dedicate time to self care. Thank you Janet for sharing your gifts and knowledge in such a caring and loving way.
I was enlighten by the author because I had never thought that ones reactions were routed within; I had always thought it was an outsiders fault that caused people to react. The author´s thesis that it comes from within us was a shock for me. Her arguments were compelling and completely logical. Being conscious of your fears, feelings and anxiety can only come with finding its origin by going back in time to your beginning (childhood) will allow us to react in control and without hurt or anger. This is definitely the first step toward spiritual freedom and living a happier and peaceful life. Although I did not do the written exercises in the book I truly found that it helped me understand that what triggers anger, reactions and pain is mostly emotions held within ourselves sometimes so deep that we don’t realize it. And we (ourselves) are the only ones responsible for fixing it by finding it throughout our meditations, exercises and even hypnosis. A very interesting book, one that I believe I will come back to at some point in the future.
There are a few really interesting insights and a perspective that allowed for some of my own aha moments but most of the book is about the work she does and combining eastern types of energy healing into psychology, but it doesn't really connect it. Like it might say certain pain is felt in a certain chakra but other than journaling and meditating there aren't any tools. I think too that it's really out there in some ways. Overall I needed the viewpoint, but I'm glad I had access to a free version because I don't know I would ever read it again
Most of us have been raised by unconscious parents who parented from their own internal pain. Janet helps us awaken and heal generational patterns that no longer serve us or our future children. It is such a fantastic book implementing storytelling, complex childhood trauma, chakras - energy and state of different body parts, and the journey into healing ourselves. For anyone new to self-healing, this is a must-read.
This is an excellent book for people who are looking to explore their inner landscape and heal that which the may (or may not) realize is causing them suffering. Janet explores many topics with easy to follow language that will help anyone who reads it. I love her descriptions, especially those around feelings vs emotions, the Chakras and her perspective on hypnosis. This is a great book for all seekers looking to take the next step in their journey.
Ill be forever grateful to have found and read this book. I have no words to express my true joy, of having a connection through this book. Thank for all you do and the help you bless people with.
Phenomenal self-help book that helps us explore the mind-body connection and find HOPE. Must-read for those on their journey inwards and to find direction in life!
