Mind Full

Rate this book
With a bang, Carol wakes up in a dream. But the dream is not hers. An absurd plot worthy of an action movie drags her along, but all she wants to do is escape.

Mind Full is a story about experiencing loss, pursuing acceptance, and forging new purpose. While Carol may be trapped, her agency remains her own. How will she make the most of an absurd, short, and pointless world?

While written by a psychiatrist trained in mindfulness-based therapies, this is not a therapeutic manual, but an adventure story that is psychologically informed. Mind Full explores our emotional depths, both conscious and unconscious. It addresses both the joy and the pain that comes with lived experience, and acknowledges our weaknesses while promoting the strength we need to achieve self-compassion and emotional growth.

Hi! My name is James Walker and I am a Psychiatrist from Atlanta, GA. I got into writing out of a passion for telling the sort of stories that I love to read. My favorite genres are historical fiction and sci-fi. I enjoy exciting adventures with believable characters and good villains. I've made a personal goal of writing a book every year! The Barbarians of Rome series has five books planned already, I just finished a psychological adventure story and I'm halfway through writing a fun sci-fi book. When I'm not writing I enjoy traveling and riding motorcycles. Thanks for taking the time to read my stories! It means a whole heck of a lot to me. Feel free to send me your questions and I'll try and get back to you right away!

Boring and Confusing

This took me longer than it should have to read but it’s boring and I had to keep stopping cause I was falling asleep. I think the author was trying to create his own Back to the Future story.

this book had a lot of good philosophical tales on life. there were things that really resonated about the purpose of life and how life can change quick.
