COVID-19: Un Roman Global Dans un Monde Global

Rate this book

I have started Reading this novel and I got to say it’s very interesting! It’s not at all what I expected it to be, it’s so much more! I can recommend it to anyone that likes to read a book where you get captured since the beginning and don’t want to put it away.

This was different for sure. Is this the new norm for romance after CV19? A lot of it made sense in regards to the spread of a viral disease with no proven antidote, or a vaccine as of this date, as far as I know. In theory, all things will work, in reality, some will not IMHO. When applying Christianity one can make an argument of pros and cons all day long it seems, but you don't get to pick and choose what parts of the Bible you want to adhere to. You take it all or not, it really isn't a designer religion.
That is the reason one world order will never succeed because we do not have a one world religion or belief, and I believe we never will, until our judgement day. We have eaten of the tree of knowledge, we make choices and only two things in life are guaranteed, we live, we die. This showed both sides to a lot of issues surrounding our world as we know it today. It truly is before and after Covid19.
As far as a romance, I think this is a bit of a stretch, at least for me. The couple in here seemed steeped in old culture, which isn't a bad situation at all, considering all the distancing now needed. I didn't feel the connection with either Amigioli or Elisay. She was part of his ribs, soul mates if you will, spiritually and physically, living exactly where they were meant to be, to help stabilize a ficticious region, though reality would have meant more, since we are living it.
I did have problems with the editing of this book, a lot of mistakes with who is who and when it's he or she. Amigioli only had his mother, then his Grandparents also--no father. Elisay had her parents but I still don't know if her father is Maja or Maya. There were enough discrepancies that I did get frustrated. An intriguing read still, thought provoking, and wondering how and why there were real names thrown in when it's depicting a fictional area.
I won a copy of this book from Goodreads, and am giving my honest opinions.

Sigh. I feel like I am destined to keep getting disappointed by those books I win in giveaways on Goodreads. I was bored to the point of quitting a couple of times, was just too lazy to begin a new book to be honest. It makes me wonder why an imaginary place with real circumstances? Among other things. Sigh again.

I had won this book and downloaded it onto my device and tried to keep an open mind while reading it. I realize that the author is a doctor but this book was very difficult to read and was especially hard for my to finish. I do not recommend this book.

The concept of the book is good. It reads more like a rough play than a developed novel. It could be good, but needs more work, like a developmental edit.

A thrilling modern romance that questions the social, economic and health inequalities inside and among countries as they face a global crisis. It is a novel of love, solidarity, and hope in a world troubled by the COVID-19 pandemic.
