I didn’t like this book as much as I did book 1. It didn’t keep my attention. I can normally read a book this size in a few hours tops and it took me over a day.

There were some good moments, most of them happened towards the end of the book.

I’m hoping book 3 will give us the same angst that the first book gave us.

Does a female human really want to be bait for crooked vampires and a cult that hates vampires?

Smoke, a member of the Nightborne Renegades Vampire motorcycle bar Trio, knows Davina has magic and an affinity with electronics. Zeb (a drug pin big wheel) wants revenge for the payback deal that Jon (the bartender) brokered for Davina, Jackson wants Davina dead, and the Humans United (HU) group wants her for her powers. Davina is under vampire protection and moves in with Smoke.

What will happen when Davina tangles with Zeb, a crooked politician, and a vengeful vampire? A vampire in the innermost circles has betrayed the vampire group and given information to an HU informative. (The HU has developed the designer drug targeting vampires using what he provided.) He cannot let that information come to light and will do anything to protect himself, even murder.

What will happen when Davina sets herself up as bait to protect a child?

(Ok, now is when I gush.) Things are intense. Read the surprise revelations (not included in this review) to the tale. Make sure you read the series in order. I cannot wait for the next episode.

Claimed is Book 2 in the Nightborne Renegades MC series by Imani L Hawkins and Tyrone Hawkins, two extremely talented authors. In this second book in series we learn more about Davina's past. Smoke, Devon, and Jon, Nightborne Renegades bar owners and club leaders are the most friendly of the Nightborne and behind Davina who is beginning to trust them. Davina is using powers she did not know she had and does not understand to help them with their community's drug problem developed by the HU which makes vampire bloodlust almost impossible to control as well as makes them stronger. This is a superbly written storyline with fantastic world development and the individual personalities are coming into focus. So many of the question from Book 1 were answered here. This is a fast paced, action packed, twisty/turny coaster ride that you don't want to end. Bring on Book 3. Received an ARC from StoryOrigin and this is my voluntary and honest review.

The unscrupulous enemies of the supernatural have been revealed in this volume of Davina's story.
A drug has been developed that addicts vampires and also increases their dangerous bloodlust and lowers their self-control. Nightborne Renegades are barely able to police their own community in the face of this threat. Why are the 'vampire hunters' after Davina? And what did they have to do with the disappearance of her parents?

Smoke, Devon and Jon are the ones most friendly to Davina, and she is gradually trusting them more, as well as suddenly aiding them with skill she doesn't understand herself. They are clues to a childhood that was blocked by past trauma-- or was it something else, a deliberate screening? Who are the strangely familiar magical people greeting her with 'Welcome home, huntress"?

One star deducted for being only a piece of the whole.

Intensely Thrilling!
“Claimed” continues the storyline plot that began in “Captured” where Davina has been caught for her theft and is now working for the Renegades and finds herself attracted to Smoke one of the “Trio” and leader of the Renegades. Davina finds herself in danger from vampires that appear to be under the influence of a designer drug that targets vampires but doesn’t know why. The suspense, twists, and turns in this tale will keep you on your toes as the drama, intrigue, turmoil, and betrayals unfold and make you wish this tale was longer. I am excited to read the next book in this amazing series.

Great plot!!! 🤩

I don't like that this book is really short because the plot is developing in such a great way and I need more of this amazing story 😍
Davina is shocked when she discovered who she really is and what she can do and the great community her family was part of, and now she knows why the HU wants her so badly 😲🤯😤
Her relationship with Smoke finally gets to the next level and with Devon bonds even deeper #whychoose 💞
When she finds herself almost kidnapped by the HU, she is rescued by the most unexpected person, who happen to play a key role in all the HU mess 🤯
Can't wait to read the next book in this series!!! 💖

Davina's magnetism and affinity for electronics suddenly make sense as more of this world and its intrigues are revealed. This installment took some serious twists and added layers to the world and complexity to the politics that were barely hinted at in the first book. Secrets and powers come to light a well as various claims to Davina's loyalty. I was a bit on the fence with book 1, wondering if Davina was going to turn into another Mary Sue in a trope filled short, but was pleasantly surprised by the direction this book took.

This is book 2 in a serial and would not make much sense without the background given in the first book.

This story just took a turn and has delved deeper into that gritty lines of betrayal and mystery. It is packed full of drama and suspense and still has the a deep mystery that we wonder what is going to happen next. The characters are stunning and intriguing. The have shown so much in such a short time. Yes, this does end in a cliffhanger but boy is it a magnificent story. I love it I excited for the next book in the series. This is a must read and doesn’t disappoint!!!!

I enjoyed the characters and found the well developed. From the start I was pulled in and couldn’t put down. A great series that I would recommend. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)

So awesome!

While I wouldn’t say this book was super steamy it definitely had its moments. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Davina is a strong smart chick and I can’t wait to read the next book.

So good!

This series, while shorter in the installments is a really good one. Dark, steamy, suspenseful and mysterious. Powers start colliding and people’s pasta start merging.
