This book had me going from mild irritation to full outrage to ‘yay’ to warm and fuzzy to ‘Oh my’ to WTFF (what the fucking fuck?!).
Abbi is a virgin from an extremely religious family. Her faith and virginity were quite important to her and she’s lived a sheltered life making her very naïve to the world. At this point I was thinking: “Oh god, not this shit again.“
Abbi is engaged to the pastor’s son, when she discovers he’s been cheating on her with a jezebel (sigh) he proceeds to tell her that he’s a man, and therefore weak, and therefore needs to sew his wild oats, but he’ll come back to her, she just needs to stay a virgin, because ya know, he couldn’t stand it if he wasn’t her first. At this point I was thinking: “Are you FUCKING kidding me?”
So since her bastard ex will be parading his new girlfriend around their hometown over the summer, Abbi decides to take a job at a new hotel in Alaska. Far the heck away from her zealot family and their cockamamie idea that Abbi just needs to wait till the devil has left her ex, and then they can get married. It’s here she meets Henrik Wolf. At this point I was thinking: “YAY!”
Henrik Wolf is the owner of the new hotel. As famous for being sexy as sin as he is for being a tyrant. He’s cold and closed off which makes his actions towards Abbi that much more confusing and appealing.
In the span of only a few chapters Nina West made me feel all the feels. And those extreme and contradicting feelings continued as Abbi went on a journey of discovery. The trope of young and innocent girl being corrupted by and turning the billionaire tyrant into a puppy dog is not a new one, but in West’s hand it became a refreshing (and steamy, oh boy is it ever sexy) erotic story of a girl discovering her own strength and opening herself up to a world of new experiences.
The story is also filled with a slew of quirky characters and hilarious situations amongst some VERY erotic situations and discoveries.
The chemistry between Abbi and Henry was on fire! The hint of the forbidden and Henry’s hot and cold behaviour causing some delicious angst.
A brilliant debut novel. Read it.

I really like Abby. From the beginning she was a really sweet and nice person but wow I do not like the live interest, Henry. There is a really big age gap as well as very bad power dynamic situation. He is way too powerful and definitely does a few things that I do not agree with as well as acts absolutely stupid and rude. There was not really a big plot in this book expect sex sex and sex and I get why becasue of Abby but Henry being so rude to everybody makes him really unappealing and not someone I would ever want abby to be with. She deserves better

DNF and with good man reason. How the hell did I even stomach 70% of this book? It is a testament to my love of K.A. Tucker's books.
This book was annoying as fuck. First, it reads like 50 Shades of I hated that book too. But that is not the worst of it. The self-deprecating internal monologue of the main female character is horrible. Which I am sure is just a lead-up to her becoming stronger... but fuck that. I am not reading a book where the female character talks shit about herself constantly. It is not something I consider enjoyable or even healthy reading.
I am in the minority here, but this book did nothing for me.

The only way I’m going to sum up this book and it’s main character is this: Our MC who works for a colorblind boss, COLOR CODES his appointments in his calendar so he can tell what means what. We’re working with a real Einstein here folks. There is so much more I could expound on but I’m just going to let that one instance speak for itself because that is exactly who we have to deal with for the entire book.

This one was hard for me to read, and that was almost entirely because of the heroine. The heroine grew up extremely religious and was engaged to her pastor's son until he cheated on her in college. The heroine was saving herself for marriage and is clueless when it comes to anything intimate. She gets a job for the summer working in Alaska at Wolf Hotel. When she arrives, Henry, the millionaire owner, immediately takes notice of her. While the heroine was supposed to be going into her senior year of college, she was soooo naive and innocent and read so young. She felt like she wasn't pretty and constantly complained about how big her boobs were. So she was just SHOCKED when the hero thought she was pretty and loved her boobs. Really?? And since he was in his 30s and was this mature and sexy man, it just felt weird for them to be together. It's going to be rough trying to read three more books about this couple...hopefully the series gets better!

And Abbi,
I enjoy reading her growth, development, self-assertion, and self-discovery journey so much.
I find that as readers we often dislike FMCs who are insecure or have attachment issues.
Maybe we are looking to find courage in our books, maybe we are looking to find the opposite of real life. We want that escape.
But I do enjoy reading an insecure FMC, especially when her journey is like Abbi's.
I, and many other readers, were once an Abbi.
It's humbling to remember that and see how far we've actually come in our lives.

I came back after finishing the entire series. Totally recommend jumping into it. It gets better and better as you go.
These 5 books are very well-written and addictive.
It has the strongest and most foundational character development I have read in contempt romance (Abbi).
The series has a prequel novella on Ronan, a character you meet in Book 2. I honestly didn't care for it, and it really didn't give many insights, so you can skip it.
P.S: Ronan is one of my absolute favourite characters.
I don't usually like the inexperienced virgin trope, but this one made me fall in love. (It gets even better in book 2!!)
I liked Abbi's internal dialogue. She sounds genuine, and her questions are, in fact, ones someone inexperienced and in discovery would ask or wonder.
With the way it started and how religion was at the forefront of motivator behind her decisions, thoughts, and behaviours, I was surprised when the time came for their first sexual interactions that she didn't as much as ponder on that. (Well, I guess the man that is Henry Wolf can cast any doubts in her away, cz we definitely see this in book 2).
I was wary of the religious aspects at the beginning of Book 1 for my own reasons. I was happy to see how this aspect is addressed throughout the books.
Overall, it is a nice read, really.
I haven't figured out Henry Wolf yet, but I feel he has more depth. I am still waiting to hear that he sees MORE in her than the "innocent virgin" who "surprised" him.
(Bear with him, he's worth taking the layers off even throughout the books)

You're not going to get anything "magical", "special", "new" or "unexpected" from this because that is exactly what it claims to be. But sometimes that is a GOOD thing and NOT a problem.
SO what is it that you're going to get?
A big boobed virgin FMC, who is completely "innocent" and from a little small town in Pennsylvania, with a population of 5000. After her God-fearing mother drives her batshit crazy, Abbi realises that she cannot stay home for the summer, especially after her high school (and now college) boyfriend cheats on her so he can "sow his wild oats". So she flees halfway across the country to an "opening soon" luxury hotel where she hopes to tend the gardens.
You then have a rich,breathtakingly gorgeous asshole billionaire who obviously (much akin to the cliche vibes of "50 Shades of Gray without the BDSM" this was giving off) sees something in our dear innocent Abbi and just has to have her... as his assistant.
These two start banging in the sheets very quickly.
• Did I care that it was very insta lust? - No I did not
• Did this make me giggle and squeal at things - Yes it did
• Did I... EAT. THIS. SHIT. UP.? - Yes I DID

2 ⭐️ so... tempt me was free on audible. thank god bc if i used my credits on this shit, i’d be so filthy. i haven’t read 50 shades of grey (nor do i plan to) but this book is giving temu grade 50 shades.
hand to heart, abbi might be the most irritating 21 year old virgin i’ve ever had the displeasure of reading about. istg, if she says “mama” one more time… her hometown actually sounds like a cult. her family is wack. her apparent values disappear the moment she steps in alaska. i actually can’t think of one thing i like about abbi. henry is such a cliche that i’m not even going to waste my time commenting on him any further.
it ended on a cliffhanger, and i hated myself enough to start book 2. i didn’t get very far before dnf’ing. maybe if i’m super desperate, i’ll pick it back up in the future?

Tempt Me is taking me by surprise. I do like Miss West' story. The plot has so much promised of something dark and seductive. The writing is inyeresting and engaging.
What throws me off is Henry. His character is remained in the background. Although he is the hero. While Abby' POV is upfront and center.
I even have a feeling that it is Abby who is interested in Henry and Henry is being used.
The sex is moderate. Noy much detail and seductive. More like straight to the point.
Overall, an OK read. Have to see what is going to happen on the next book.

My 1700th book read and wow what a book to hit a milestone on!!!!
Tempt Me centers around Abigail Mitchell and Henry Wolf. It is a steamy read to say the least. Abigail has just discovered her former fiancée cheating on her. This leads to her applying for a job far away from school (Chicago) or home (small town PA). When she gets the job, shockingly, she is giddy with excitement yet still pining for what she has lost.
Enter, acting CEO Henry Wolf, he saw something in her and got her the job. Then they meet. She isn't what he expected. She's more. The attraction is palpable, but confusing, against the rules, but the chemistry is hot and slowly lines blur and are crossed.
The sex is some of the hottest scenes I've read in a while. Steamy, raunchy, hot!
Just as they seem to be getting closer and accidental, confidential email being read will risk everything she believes. About him, his job, about their relationship or whatever they feel it is.

WOLF BAIT is one of those books that I'm still on the fence about, weeks after reading it. On the one hand, it had a hero I couldn't help but like....even when he was being an enormous ass. But it was the heroine and her complete 180 when it came to her values that has me wondering what I read.
Abbi catches her fiance cheating on her. After spending the remaining months of the school year having him flaunt his new relationship in her face and her family pushing her to forgive him, Abbi decides to take a job in Alaska for the summer. She hopes this is going to be a tie to figure out who she is and what she wants, as she clings to her Christian faith. But as soon as she sets foot on the Wolf Resort things do not go as Abbi plans. And when she catches the eye of owner Henry Wolf her world is opened up to much more than she thought.
Henry was one of those heroes I love to hate. An enormous ass when we first meet him, he soon opens up to Abbi and proves to be every bit a domineering Alpha male. I could understand why Abbi's naivety would be alluring to him, but I had to wonder why he continued to pursue her, pushing her faith and values. He was every bit a wolf prowling for his prey.
Then there was Abbi. Her faith was very important to her when she was with her fiance. She had abstained from sex, holding onto her belief of waiting until marriage. So it was a bit confusing when Abbi was making passes at strange lumberjacks, watching her roommates in an intimate moment and flirting with Henry. Who was this girl? It was because of Abbi that I had such an issue with this book. For someone who's faith was so important, she practically abandons it all as soon as she sets foot in Alaska. I can understand questioning what you believed, but she seemed to have just tossed all that out the window a little too easily for someone who didn't want to let go before. In my mind, I couldn't reconcile what she believed in versus what she was doing.

In my mind, I couldn't reconcile what she believed in versus what she was doing.
Lots of other readers have loved this book, so I'm guessing I'm in the minority when it comes to this book. But I couldn't get past the changes in Abbi and believe this romance.

I actually read the entire series a while ago and I forgot about all the double standards in this
Having the heroine come of as judgmental and sheltered as well as naive…
But in reality the people around her judging her for her family’s background and the fact that’s she oh noooooo a virgin at 21?
… tf
I think I was so excited to read this the wealthy older guy young girl trope always gets me and KA tucker is a great writer.
But it’s the fact that’s she chose to shit on religion and other peoples beliefs … yeah let’s not do that.
I myself am not religious nor is my family .. but do we make other people feel bad for having their own beliefs and name call them and say.
“ wow fucking idiots”
… no we surprisingly do not do that.
And the whole thing is that it’s beyond stereotype she’s a redneck bumpkin from a small town Christian community that hated gay people and doesn’t believe their kids should date
And thinks that their daughter should stay with her cheating ex until he satisfies the sinner in himself…
See what I mean it’s all just stereotype to make the heroine look inexperienced and her background less than
And on top of that literally everyone also shitted on her being a virgin… so fucking what
Y’all really can’t hang out with this chick because she’s a virgin … wtf
the message was that Abby was being the judgmental one but when they made fun of her or told her
“Seriously your still a virgin” or “ why tf don’t you loose it”
Wasn’t them being condescending and judgmental fr?
Like does the author really think people care that much if Someone they hang out with is
“Gasps” a v.I.r.g.I.n🤭
So … moving on from that stupidness
Um yeah the hero kinda gave me low key might
Assault you vibes??
And honestly gives my reading choices I’d probably read just about anything
But since this isn’t that type of book and isn’t meant to be dark not really.
It’s might the fact that the man went through his assistants faster than he went through tissue paper…
Literally had two assistants before the heroine claim sexual assault charges only to find out both where lying of corse.
Like I said “not that type of book”
I was like baby is this a trend you like doing or sumthin where you need to fuck your next assistant and grade them ??

As long as you sit down knowing you have to go into this with an “I’m cool with reading a light, fluffy, generic book with even more generic characters, that will probably be a 3-star read”, then you’re good.
I was told to go in with this mindset and am pleased I followed directions. I was entertained for a few hours. That’s all I can ask for. I’m even going to read book 2. And that’s where we are.

This story is stereotypical, it's cliché, it's 50 shades-ish, and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.
Fresh from the bible belt, farm country comes a naïve virginal young woman, who falls into the arms of a man who is a bit of a player. We have hints of who Henry really is underneath all that magnetism and charisma. He runs hot and cold, so it's often hard to get a read on him.

I should write my reviews as soon as I finish the book and not wait ages... I've actually finished the whole series already so this review is probably not just purely based on the first book but the whole series and the way I loved the characters. Because I did, I love them so much.
Some time ago, I read a bad book about a sheltered girl who has met an older man and started a relationship with him. Well, it happened here as well, only in a very good way.
Yes, the heroine, Abbi, grew up religiously brain washed into believing certain things; her boyfriend of donno how many years cheated on her and tried to explain it in some moronic ways; and yes, her mother was a horrible manipulative arse who urged Abbi to "forgive and forget"...
Enter Henry, a 10 years older man, a very big boss, a little kinky, a little dominating... You get where I'm going.
Was the beginning of the relationship kinda inappropriate? Oh yes, it was.
Did I care? Fuck no!!
Because it was hot as hell.

I’ll be honest and say I did not expect this book to be so hot and so incredibly entertaining. Abbi is a little bit naive and very inexperienced. She’s sort of sunshine, but overall she’s just a girl who hasn’t lived much life outside of her small town and her christian college. Enter Henry Wolf. He’s rich. He’s handsome. He’s got his sights set on Abbi because she’s the exact opposite of what usually gets him into trouble, and yet… she surprises him at every turn. Sigh.
Ok that’s all I’m saying. Grumpy billionaire and naive heroine at a secluded Alaskan luxury resort, but if you’re thinking that’s not that appealing I’m telling it is and try this dang book.
Now I’m off to read book two!

I can't believe I read this book. It wasn't even on my radar but I one clicked it accidentally (not the accidental way you tell your husband about) and I was trying to choose my next read and I was like okay one page wouldn't hurt and then it was 14 pages and then it it was 3 am and I was halfway through the book. It's gripping to say the least. Full review to come. go read it it's HOT.
