I read this after seeing it advertised on Instagram because it brought back nostalgia for all the yaoi I read in high school (no shame to be honest). I think the author is doing a good job of developing the characters now, but it was definitely more sex without plot for at least half of the first volume. If that's what you're looking for, you'll love it; I'm just much more character driven now that I'm an old woman 💁🏽♀️

Sign no es uno de los webtoons que sigo mensualmente y lo leí casi de casualidad y por curiosidad, pero tengo que admitir que me ha dado una buena sorpresa. Es un webtoon lindo y muy MUY divertido. Sobre todo, me gusto que no haya un drama exagerado. La historia podría parecer muy simple, otra BL romántica, pero la obra también tiene un poco suspenso y misterio. La verdad es que muy interesante y tiene muchas situaciones cómicas e inesperadas.
Otro punto a su favor, son los personajes. De verdad, me encantaron y logre conectar con ellos desde el inicio. El protagonista, Soohwa, es una completa desgracia y eso lo hace un personaje muy divertido. Por qué a pesar de toda su desgracia, es super buena persona. Es imposible que no te haga reír o te desagrade. Por otro lado, Yohan, me cautivo. A primera vista, parece un hombre tímido y reservado por su condición de sordo, pero es mucho más que eso. Todos los personajes tiene personalidades muy diferentes entre sí y son muy realistas.
Por otro lado, el arte me pareció muy agradable. Es lindo y va muy acorde al genero cómico. Ademas, logra captar muy bien los sentimientos o lo que esta sucediendo en cada escena. Creo que la mangada hizo un muy buen trabajo con los personajes y con la historia.
En conclusión, Sign fue una sorpresa muy agradable. Aun no esta acabado (publicado hasta él capitulo 51) así que seguiré con la historia porque esta muy interesante con la inclusión del villano.

There's no story or plot. The characters lack personality or any kind of development. I simply don't understand why it's still ongoing with over 100 plus episodes/chapters.

i can't believe i read all of that
it was kinda cute in the beginning but the story got repetitive very fast and the plot didn't make much sense half of the time
also, someone in the reviews was talking about the good portrayal of consent in this:
the amount of times soohwa asked yohan to stop and yohan just ignored him was massive. i don't think we made it through a single chapter without it happening at least once.
another thing: what was up with all the punishment s*x? your boyfriend comes home clearly drunk as fuck and your immediate reaction is to do what? f*ck him for six hours straight? he was clearly unconscious for most of it. and he definitely didn't consent. soohwa actually started crying and yohan was just like "don't cry you brought this onto yourself"

I was super into this story at the beginning. I loved the characters. I loved the story. But dear god, the sex scenes. Literally every update would just be a sex scene. There would be one panel of story and 15 of sex. It was so annoying. I actually quit reading it at one point because I was tired of just reading porn. I don't know why I went back and finished it tbh. If all you want is of super long sex scene, you'll love this, but if you actually want character development and storytelling, you're better off reading something else.

General Comment: It hurts me to rate this story 3.5 stars, I admit it's good and enjoyable but it's not the best for me. This manhwa is just mainly about the characters' relationship and their life struggles and also seventy percent scenes of them having sex. Although I enjoyed this, personally, the fetish doesn't sit right with me. I love reading about the Seme's journey of adjusting with his life but the flashbacks are only brief and I wanted to read more of it. Honestly, this got a lot of potential but the conflict got resolved too soon and the story ended quickly.

AMO tener pensamientos tan conflictivos.
Positivo.
• la relación de Soohwa y Yohan es tan bonita cuando no se la pasan haciendo el delicioso. Se apoyan y tienen buena comunicación, que fue algo que me preocupó cuando empezó la historia por lo rápido que se desarrolló todo. Por fortuna para nosotros, tampoco es un insta love; más bien como una lujuria a primera voz xdd, pero eso está bien, al menos me lo puedo creer.
• el arte está genial. No es que yo me fije mucho, de todas formas, pero precisamente por eso es un shock para mí cuando puedo decir que una ilustración está desproporcionada o rara en cualquier otro sentido, lo que es más común de lo que debería. Por suerte, no pude apreciar esto con esta historia; todas las viñetas están bien.
Eso sí, la secuencia a veces era extraña. En una viñeta, Yohan estaba a la izquierda; a la siguiente a la derecha. No es que estos hechos "simples" dificulten entender la historia (que no lo hacen), es que deberían corregirse de plano. El cómic no funciona como una cámara en ese sentido, debe tener cierta secuencia.
Esto podrían entenderlo como un consejo, nomas.
No obstante, el dibujo está bien.
• Gyoon. Fin. No hay nada qué decir. Gyoon es Gyoon. EL MEJOR.
Negativos.
• ¡La puerca trama! Ok. Entonces, todo es interesante hasta el momento en que Byung sale de pantalla como por arte de magia, con una solución para el conflicto más que cuestionable (porque no me cabe en la cabeza que el tipo deje de estar obsesionado en ¿qué? ¿Una semana? Después de TODO lo que hizo. diablos) y luego... nada. Soohwa y Yohan haciendo el delicioso, mientras Soohwa va a la universidad. Eso es todo lo que nos queda de la pareja principal.
• Los personajes son un poquitín aburridos. Me hubiera gustado que fuera la historia de Gyoon, porque tiene ciertos matices muy interesantes. Pero Soohwa es taaaan básico. O sea, su conflicto era que la voz de Yohan lo excitaba y eso se resolvió casi que de inmediato.
Yohan pudo haber sido un personaje más interesante; pero todo se ha perdido porque sus únicas acciones en la historia fueron llevar a Soohwa a la cama una y otra y otra y otra vez. Y estar a su lado, todo lo que le permitiera. ¿No tiene otro tipo de aspiraciones? Idk, que tome un curso de café online o algo así.
• Si bien que se tratara la sordera de Yohan me pareció interesante, muchas viñetas me hacen pensar que a veces se le hablaba sin mirarlo a la cara y el mágicamente podía escuchar.
Creo que viene con eso de mejorar la secuencia y los planos en sí mismos. Porque, aunque el dibujo está realizado correctamente, se debe tener en cuenta que en un cómic, lo que cuenta la historia no son esencialmente los bocadillos, lo que se presenta visualmente tiene la misma, si no más, importancia.
Conflictivos.
• Creo que nunca he hablado realmente de la cultura de la violación que es taaaaan común en los mangas BL (como, por qué) y me conflictua un poco Soohwa con su "nooooo, no quiero" o "para" o derivados.
Porque, joder, me hace desear que Yohan pare y llamar a la policía. ¡el niño ha dicho que no, ya déjalo, no hay consentimiento!
¡pero entonces, Yohan piensa como yo! Yohan para, porque Soohwa se lo está pidiendo. Soohwa no quiere.
Y luego, resulta que Soohwa le pregunta por qué para. Le dice que él quiere más. Que se lo dé todo (no en mis palabras xdd)
Maldito consentimiento no consensuado (?)
¿Qué nos quieren decir?
¿Que cuando alguien te pide que pares en realidad debes seguir porque eso es lo que de verdad quiere?
Me gustó la historia, sí. No es la mejor y creo que falla en ciertos puntos. Pero sirve para pasar el rato y se lee a velocidad de la luz.

Este es mi primer "BL Hard", como le llaman mis amigas; dígase, mi primer manga o webcomic con romance entre dos hombres y sexo explícito 👍
Solo estoy marcando este primer volumen, pero me lo zampé enterito, así que: qué me pareció como un todo? Creo que fue una buena introducción a este mundo, porque el dibujo es lindo, los protagonistas son cute, y su romance es bastante sano. La trama funciona más en servicio de crear situaciones para que los protas tiren que otra cosa, lo que me dijeron que es normal en este tipo de BL, pero no es muy mi estilo. Como buena niña nerd, espero que, si me van a poner sexo, al menos tenga sentido, pero si va a ser gratuito como aquí, necesito una conexión con los personajes que no se dio. Eran buena onda, eran tiernos, pero no más. Además, al final el romance se me hizo un poco posesivo y excesivamente meloso; la vida de estos tipos giraba alrededor de la del otro y eso no es mi estilo. Prefiero las relaciones en la que cada uno tiene su rollo y su espacio, y al mismo tiempo se quieren mucho y se bancan.
Pero bueno, no estuvo mal para empezar y estaría mintiendo si dijera que no lo pasé bien leyéndolo. Me enganchó desde el principio y me leí sus más de 100 capítulos en aprox una semana; de que hay buen mamarracheo, lo hay. Así que recomiendo Sign si les da curiosidad esto del BL y quieren empezar por algo tranqui, tiene mi sello de aprobación.

4.5 estrellas en realidad
¿Por qué me tardé tanto tiempo en leer esto? Lo amé demasiado, necesitaba una historia así de tierna, libre de tanta toxicidad, y amé la inclusión de que el co-protagonista y principal interés amoroso sea sordo.
En esta historia nos topamos a Soohwa, él necesita desesperadamente un empleo así que es contratado en el Café Goyo, Soohwa debe aprender el lenguaje de señas ya que su manager, Yohan, es sordo, sin embargo, Soohwa se resiste a tomar clases con él porque se siente muy atraído hacia su jefe... y su voz lo excita.
Eventualmente, se va desarrollando una relación sexual entre Yohan y Soohwa quienes terminan enamorándose conforme más crecía esa relación, sin embargo, hay algunas amenazas externas, alguien del pasado de Yohan que buscará lastimar a cualquiera que sea cercano a él, y ya ha fijado sus ojos en Soohwa.
En lo personal, amé este webcomic, me encantó la construcción de personajes y me enamoré de Yohan, es un amor de persona, me gustaría tener una pareja así en el futuro.
Mi única queja fue la pareja secundaria, no vimos mucho de Jihye y Gyoon como pareja o en la intimidad, aunque siento (y espero) que la autora retome la historia de esos dos para side stories en algún futuro.

I don't sense any major characters development. The plot is thin and kinda flimsy. This has the smut-galore vibes in it, so if you are searching for those types of story, this is a good read for you!

This was so good gahhhhhhh! I haven't read a soft, awkward, shy seme in a long while, and Yohan made me feel ~things~ 😭 He and Soohwa are just sooo freakin' adorable together ❤️
Not rating this five stars coz of dubious consent during sex. There were times when Soohwa would ask Yohan to stop, but the latter would still go on and expect Soohwa to endure it. That's a no for me. Boundaries, people! And consent!

La primer temporada es genial. Tiene una trama súper interesante, hay desarrollo de personaje y la relación evoluciona. La segunda temporada no la recomiendo si esperas algo igual a la primera. La relacion se vuelve tóxica, hay muchos abusos y ya no hay trama

Reading a BL with a deaf main character is a such breath of fresh air! I thought Soohwa and Yohan’s dynamic was really cute and seeing Soohwa learn sign language was really sweet. I thought their relationship was honestly very relatable as I’ve also had to learn new things for my girlfriend’s disability. The side relationship and characters were also very fun! I’m usually not a big fan or care too much about the side relationships, but Gyoon and Jihye’s relationship were very sweet. All in all I truly loved this story and thought it was very fluffy and cute!
