I picked this book up in Venice at the “floating bookshop” and totally enjoyed reading these short anecdotes of Marco Polos journey into foreign lands during the 1200.
The descriptions are short- given by people who interacted with the Polos as ship keepers, guides, guards, henchmen, captains, merchants, traders etc.
this book had maps that traced the journey and indicated somewhat of the timeline.
For an introductory glimpse into this voyage- highly recommend.
