Alaska Alphas #4

Polar Shift

Rate this book
Raven shifter, Kai Johnson, is balls deep in debt, and it will take a miracle to get the Alaskan lodge he and his brothers just purchased up and running. Though Kai has committed both body and wallet to making a go of it, things change when his childhood friend, Haven Seward, arrives, sporting a fat diamond ring on her finger. The idea of Haven marrying somebody else sends Kai into panic mode, and his plans for the future quickly unravel.

As the daughter of the previous pack Alpha, certain things are expected from Haven, but being unable to shift has limited her options. Her uncle believes marrying the new Alpha would be best for her and the other wolves, but her heart has always belonged to Kai. When Kai plants a toe-curling kiss on her and offers a possible solution to her predicament, she decides to risk everything to get what she wants.

But even if she succeeds, wolves don't marry ravens, especially Alpha's daughters. Her choice could start a clan war. Is putting everything on the line for love worth price the glacier magic might demand?

The story focuses on three brothers who are raven shifters and three sisters who are wolf shifters, although Haven hasn't been able to shift into her wolf and she is next in line to become the pack's alpha. I loved the setting in Alaska, with the northern lights and glaciers. And these brothers and sisters are all so different in personalities, it makes it more interesting. This story focuses on Kai, a raven, and Haven, a wolf. They've been closes friends for many years, but can they take their relationship farther?

I loved the characters and the settings, and look forward to more books featuring these brothers and sisters.

I received a copy of Polar Shift from the author and this is my honest review.

Kai and his brothers just bought a large resort in the wilds of Alaska. They’ve got a lot of hard work ahead but when they’re done, the place will be great. They are raven shifters. Haven is the heir of the alpha of her wolf pack. With her father recently deceased, she’s getting ready to take over as alpha, but she has a problem. She can’t shift into her wolf form. She has one chance to bring on her shift and with Kai’s help, she hopes to succeed.

This is a fun, short book with interesting characters. Kai and Haven’s relationship isn’t straight forward but has some twists. I’m looking forward to reading about his brothers and her sisters in future books.

I loved this sweet and spicy story about shifters, pack politics and fated mates.
Polar Shift is a stand alone story but it appears to set the stage for what will be a series of stories dealing with this family of 3 raven shifter brothers and three sisters from the local wolf pack.
Exactly the kind of great, light romance I've come to expect from Boone Brux.

Welcome to Alaska where the nights are long and the shifters are hot . Kia and his brothers have just bought themselves a lodge . They are going to try hard to make it work until the plane lands and out steps Haven a wolf shifter and the new alpha of her pack. She suggests that they become friends with benefits and Kia jumps at the chance to show her how much he loves her and that they are meant to be together. With pressure mounting and Haven worrying too much they head to place where the spirit animals are guiding them . Will they find out that their love is the only thing that matters .

Ok i will admit i squealed a little when I found out that we have raven shifters in this book . Kia and his brothers are raven shifters . Who knew that ravens could be so sexy . Kia is the guy you want in your corner, he is tall, dark and oh so sexy . You will want to climb him like a spider monkey. He is also one of the sweetest guys you will ever read . Haven wow what can we say about her . She is a stressed out woman who always puts everyone ahead of her . She is sweet but also she needs to relax and think of herself . They are great characters but when they are together the heat level rises 100 percent . I really like them and want to see where the author is going to take them .

Ok ok I am calm now , this book is hot , the characters are so well written and complex . The story is set in Alaska , which I like its a different setting it shows how beautiful Alaska is . The author takes us on a fun filled ride . This is the type of book I expect from this author . Fun filled with some great sexy times mixed with some suspense and laughs abundant . So if you want a great short book that will make you laugh out loud , The gas station scene comes to mind . and maybe melt your kindle . This is the book for you , so lets go play in the snow and have some fun hot times . Check it out

Entertaining story that unfolded at a great pace

This was an entertaining story that really detailed what things look like in Alaska, a place I've never been. The characters were engaging, the romance intense and the banter, so much fun. I enjoyed the idea of Haven and Kai sneaking off to have some alone time and the finding out they should be mates, despite their different species, all while on a quest. Add in some family drama, pack responsibilities and sizzling chemistry, well, it was entertaining and I look forward to seeing if the other brothers and sisters will match up the way it looks like they might. Good fun!

I loved this book! Shifters are the best, then Alaska? Oh yes! This writer did such a great job, I could almost feel the cold, smell the air, see the Aurora. Too awesome. The hopeful pair in this story worked toward a goal, then, whoo! That’s all I’m sayin’... good story! I’m gonna go hunt up the rest of the series, the other authors too. 👍

Although a short read, this story has lots of action, humor, romance and sexy scenes. Raven and wolf shifters can be mates although Haven didn't think she was Kai's mate when he initially told her. Since she couldn't call her wolf, she didn't think she could have a mate. Haven gave him a chance and she received a surprise when they went to the Source to get her animal.
