They say opposites attract, but we’re already best friends. Adding sex into the mix is either going to be perfect or a perfect disaster.
I’ve been not-so secretly in love with my best friend since our college days, long before she became a badass heavy metal belly dancing bartender. She may think that we’re too different to ever fall in love with one another, but I’m going to prove her wrong. And when I finally get her in my bed, it’s going to be her last first time. Because I know we’re meant to be.
My best friend knows almost all of my secrets. But he doesn’t know that I’m deep in a dry spell with men—yet. I’m sure he’s the perfect guy to help me with this problem though, because he’s the sexiest mayor on the entire planet. But two rules: we have to keep things quiet and we can’t catch feelings.
This could have been a 5 star read if not for all the mentions of both MCs past whoreness. Why the authors feel the need to let us know how much of a manwhore or slut a female character is/was is beyond me because there is nothing more of a turnoff in my reads to guarantee me to DNF then this.
And it is a shame really because if one gets past heroine's horny thoughts about f**g other men & how hero "fu**k his way through Indiana during their college years" while she was his "wing-man", I could have totally loved this story as it has a very strong, kick-ass/mouthy heroine who has no filter, a hero who is awesome & very much into heroine, sexy times and some bad dudes that deserved a big kick in the balls!
The problem was that after those thoughts in the beginning, the author lost me and I skipped to the last two chapters (which were awesome btw!).
Safety: I don't know. I THINK it is safe since both were with OP before they hooked up all the years they've known each other and from skimming, I believe they only have eyes for each other..
But wait, this is Reed. He’s basically my best friend. I’m not supposed to think that he’s hot in that lady parts sort of way. I’ve been his wing-woman as he fucked his way throughout most of northern Indiana during our college days, before he got into politics and started keeping all of that manwhore stuff under wraps.
“Him?” Caiden scoffs. “What does he have that I don’t?”
I can feel Reed’s arm tighten, can practically hear his adrenaline kick in. “A working knowledge of female anatomy, for one.” I smile, baring my teeth. “Also, I trust him. He’s not going to hurt me by dragging me down off the bar because he’s drunk and got a little carried away.”
I have never forgotten how fast and hard I crushed on her, that beautiful flower child who literally bumped into me in the quad. She had actual clovers in her long, dark hair, and she smelled like sunshine, even if her body looked like it had been made for sin. And while I tried all of my usual wooing techniques on her, she was so wholly unimpressed by me that I’m surprised she ever agreed to be friends with me.
Thank goodness I at least had that much of her. Even now, all these years later, she’s kept me planted squarely in the friend zone, when I am still completely smitten kitten for her. For a grown man closing in on thirty, my frequent fantasies about her have been a little bit embarrassing. But this was Karisma. She is definitely it for me, whether she is willing to admit it or not.
So when she half jokingly gives me the green light, I’m not going to let her out of arm’s reach again. I don’t know if she ever noticed how often I spent time in her periphery. I was always finding an excuse to linger at the bar that she owned, even if I nursed the same drink all night long.

“That’s Mr. Mayor to you, K.T.” I give her my best politician’s smile, the one that I’ve practiced since I was a bony ass middle school kid. The kind that sold candy bars to the neighbors for fundraising, and the kind that got panties dropped for me on the regular during my four years at Notre Dame.
She gives me a flat look. “2:00 a.m., Mr. Fuckwit. Try not to piss me off before then.”
DNF- Made it up to 28% and just can’t finish. Not my type of books with the hateful name calling. I’m not a sensitive person but this relationship between these two so far has been really verbally abusive. I was enjoying the story then all ruined by KT telling Reed to shut up or him telling her FU. Without the constant back and forth hateful words, I probably would have given a 4 star based on the story alone but I just couldn’t get through it. Others may love so don’t let it discourage you, it just isn’t for me.
This is a well written book with strong characters in KT,owner of a bar and Reed,Mayor in the same town as KT's bar. It's a best friends to lovers romance filled with drama and intrigue. The author does a great job developing their relationship and moving the story smoothly. It's an entertaining story and I enjoyed and would recommend reading.

Last First Time: A Last First Kiss Novel by Anna Michael #Review #BestFriendstoLovers #OUTNOW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
‘“You’re not that kind of girl, K.T.” I stroke the inside of her wrist with my thumb. I love feeling her pulse, that feel of her being alive and next to me.
“What kind of girl am I then?” Her eyes glitter dangerously.
“You’re my best friend. You’re the best part of my day, every day.” I pull her closer towards me, until she is close enough for me to breathe in her scent of whiskey and leather.
“Yeah?” Her voice is thin, breathy. Is it possible that she is feeling this too, at last?
“Yeah.”’
Best friends to lovers has always been a favourite trope of mine, so I was ridiculously excited to get my hands on a copy of Last First Time. I’m so glad I did because it is a truly well written and seductive story. Going into it, I felt that I probably had it all figured out because I’ve read this trope a million and one times. I knew where the plot would go, how the romance would unfurl and blossom and it would all tie together nicely with a big pink ribbon. But holy hell was I wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
First of all, this is no slow-burn romance. It starts off with an electrically charged, scintillating first chapter. You can feel the sexual tension and romantic frustrations permeating the air around our hero and heroine. It’s crackling and intense. Hot and fast. And that was something entirely different for me. And best friends to lovers trope I’ve read before, has this massive build up, will they or won’t they? In Last First Time, we are under no illusions that these two have serious chemistry and unresolved feelings towards each other. However it’s what comes after that really catapults this romance story into something even more engaging and entertaining. The fallout, the drama and suspense that envelops their relationship had me glued to my kindle ‘til the wee hours of the morning.
Author Anna Michael is incredibly talented when it comes to handing her readers well-rounded and perfectly layered protagonists. We are gifted with a Mayor hero that is wealthy yet humble, seductive but sweet, intelligent and funny. And KT, our bar owner heroine. She is fierce, independent, savvy and smart, yet underneath her tough woman exterior lies a woman who wants to be cherished and loved for who she truly is. On the flip side of the same coin, she herself is entirely capable of being loving and loyal. So although we have two beautiful lead characters, when you dig deeper into their personalities, they are so much more. They spark off one another, share an intense connection and it’s through Anna’s sterling writing that we feel that connection as readers.
If you’re looking for a super hot, romantic and addictive story, then look no further. Last First Time has it all. It’s edgy, unique, well-paced and has a truly spectacular happy ending.
Best friends to lovers romance? Yes please!

So this is the second book of Anna’s that I’ve read and I absolutely love it I was swooning along all the way and the anticipation and tension and chemistry that was present in the book was just phenomenal and oh so worth reading I couldn’t put the book down without being content on knowing a bit more information I love how the two totally different characters fall into the trap of love like i love karisma / kt/ kar and reed. Their friendly banter just hyped up the love and chemistry and sparks that they obviously have I also love the way that the story is made out that if you love your dear partner as much as you say and feel you do, then you’ll always be able to win your way out of tricky things like how reed got in jail and kt was there for him - she sacrificed so much for him because of love and she didn’t even use that money for herself when she needed to save riddles from being taken away from her Another thing I love about this book is that there’s humour in here. For instance when reed was being taken away to the court the 3 big body guards were having a laugh about the power puff girls and stuff like that and buttercup which I couldn’t stop laughing at. Also I love the bit where kt needed to talk to reed about something important and he’s thinking if she’s going to leave him or if she wants to try is the other way (if she wants to have anal sex!!!) !!!! I couldn’t stop laughing because at that time he was as innocent and vulnerable and was just literally really confused which was adorable This is a stand-alone book and so I suggest immensely that you get your copy of this book right now because it’s just too amazing not to read And I’ve also read the kissing list which was one of Anna's first book that I read which is also a must read (You can check out my review of that one too) Enjoy beautiful people Happy reading Xx
Reed was KT's Ying to her Yang. They have been besties since forever. They are so different, yet they compliment each other. He is the calm sexy Mayor and she is a bar owner with the feistiness and personality of a pit bull. They have been "comfortable" with each other for years but unbeknownst to KT, Reed has a huge secret, he has been in love with her since he met her in College.
KT can't help herself but be attracted to Reed, I mean the man looked like sex on a stick gorgeous, but he also always protected her and was there when she needed someone to talk to. He was her rock. I enjoyed the dynamics of these two together. You just know they are in for a bumpy ride when the lines of their relationship gets blurred.
This was another saucy, funny and enjoyable read by Anna Michael. This author is on fire and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store in the future.
Karisma - what a perfect name. Kar and Reed are such a cute couple! Friends since their college time, these two are BFF’s and always there for each other. But when Karisma gets drunk one night, she decides to make a play for hot & sexy Reed simply because she’s horny!! Reed, on the other hand, has been in love with Karisma since they first met. But being put in the friend zone has given him the opportunity to know things about her that he can now use to his advantage. Now if he can just get her to understand that he wants more. After one night of incredible passion they both catch feelings for each other. Can they get themselves on the same page? Get over all their doubts? Make a future together? You gotta read to find out!! Personally, I loved this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was the first book I have read from this author. I really enjoyed reading it! K.T. owned a bar in the town where Reed is the Mayor. They are also best friends. Reed has been secretly in love with her since college but K.T. hasn't felt the same. She is afraid of ruining their friendship. When they decide to try friends with benefits, their story really takes off. Throw in some ex drama and some dirty politics and this was a highly entertaining book!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️
This is book number 2 in this series. Reed and KT have best friends since they were in college. Reed however has been in love with KT forever and wants to make it more than friendship. KT is just looking for a friends with benefits type of arrangement and really isn't looking for anything more than that. Can two best friends become more than what they both were looking for. Great read.

I really enjoyed book two more than book one. You can tell the author grows as she writes. This one was longer and had more lead up to things, even with a little inconvenience thrown into the relationship. I love K.T. and her I don't give a crap attitude with almost everything. She isn't afraid to claim her man, even when in the unwanted spotlight. If you read the first book and it was just ok for you, you should read this one because it gets better!
“Yeah, you know. Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Donald Duck’s nephews...The man on my left finally speaks. Cartoon ducks? ReallyWould you prefer the Powerpuff Girls?" This is just a taste of the laugh out louds that is in this book. I cried but I laughed more. K.T. is a riot! So far this is my favorite book in this series. Reed and K.T. should be relationship goals and an example of how two funny people can be in love and not kill each other.
Wonderfully fantastic... The book was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing...

I thought this was a great book. When KT left it through me off because it was a bit off character I felt. I didn’t feel that connection with her. Maybe because she didn’t really express her feelings but then when she finally came back and mentioned how she thought leaving would be better for him it made more sense. Overall it was a very well written book and I enjoyed reading it.

Reed and KT are best friends. Reed however has loved her forever and wants to make it more than friendship. KT just wants a bed partner on the down low. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is undeniable. Will friends become more than lovers.

I went to BRAE22 and while visiting my fav Aidy Award Anna was there. Aidy says to me, Anna is a author and writes steamy novels. I'm so glad she introduced us. This book was smoking 🔥. The banter had me in stitches. Karissa was sassy, sexy and in your face kind of girl. She tells it like it is and I loved it! Thank you Aidy for the introduction.
Awesome story of a girl from poor side of town to win the heart of the rich boy. I love a female to be strong, fearless, funny and sexy. Her personality has his wrap from the beginning. Story line is perfect and a must read.
Ah! Over the top sweetness mixed with humor making a fun love story. Best friends, turned lovers, to an eventual relationship. Reed and Karisma are polar opposites but belong together so fully, you can’t deny how perfect they are. Love this story!
This is the second of the Last First Kiss series and I can't wait to dig in to the third one. I loved everything about this friends to lovers story. I also loved the witty dialogue between the main characters.
I really enjoyed this story. At first I was disliking how mean K.T. was to Reed. But in the end I liked her a lot. I do wish there weren't so many names/nicknames. Overall a cute story.
