Yosilyn was a 21 yr old who got pregnant and let her father force her to give the child up for adoption to the birth father unbeknownst to her. IMO she has gall & audacity to show up 7 yrs after she gives birth wanting to see her son. I think her approach was all wrong to show up at his job like she did. Then Adrian after 7 yrs gives her the green light and hands over his address the first day he sees her. Forgiveness is truly hard but this was not so for Adrian. I mean the attempt was made to make him seem angry and unforgiving in the angry sex scene but it didn't work for me. It was a very easy process for Yosalin to be back in there life after how she left and it didn't display how really hard forgiving someone could be after a situation like theirs.
I love a story where the "African American" man is depicted as a "good man" and not as a "dead beat dad." Adrian is that man!! I instantly fell in love with him!
Women are not perfect! The development of Yoslyn was great to read! She better had confessed her love to him! She was so deserving of the BLESSINGS! She matured, accepted her responsibility, corrected her wrongs and forgave!
This was a good plot, but portly executed. I felt like it was written by an author who haven’t experienced life and or haven’t the aptitude to use their imagination. It felt high school made to be grown up if that makes since. It need so much more.
DNF at 42% It’s a good concept I just couldn’t take the execution. I thought Yoslyn was like 18 at the beginning, to realize she was 21 definitely had me side eyeing her. Then to find out where Jordan was.. baby how?! It’s not for me.
