Iris and the Secret Library

Rate this book
This is the first book of a new story in the Bright Hall universe. Iris is an awkward geeky woman who gives up on her parents plans and strikes out on her own when she decides to go to graduate school. Her plans fall apart when she loses her funding. Forced by circumstances into taking a job at the Bright Hall Academy library, she is surprised to find her life becoming sexually charged in a way she never expected.

In the first book, Iris leaves her graduate school and begins to settle in at Bright Hall. At the all-women school, she meets a striking and familiar cast from the The New Principal her new boss, the statuesque librarian and distant taskmistress, Veronica Rai; her dorm-mates, the bold and outrageous Cynthia and Deborah; and even Principal Lee himself.

This time, however, the source of the erotic energy is not Principal Lee, but something else. There is a secret in the Bright Hall library, and Iris seems to be on the cusp of discovering it. But can she handle the powerful forces that will be unleashed?

These books are a story-first tale of romance and sexual delight. This first book lights the fuse on a slow-burn erotic journey that will culminate in the books to come. It includes erotic scenes, mainly among women only, and hints and much more explicit excitement in the future.

I'm just a silly 書癡 who had a funny idea for a story. The New Principal has blown up bigger than I had hoped, and I am so very grateful for the kind words, comments and messages. I read everything you send through emails and comments. I'm so happy to have such a great bunch of readers.

Our heroine is striving to become her own person, but loses her scholarship funding at a critical juncture. Fortunately, there is a paid assistance position at a remote academy that seems perfect for her.

This is book one is a spin off from the author's Brighthall Academy series. This is a fine starting place, although readers of the original series will get to become reacquainted with some old friends.

I am a huge fan of the original series, finding it to be well written, with excellent characters, an intriguing plot and lots of steam. So I was very excited to see a new series which offered a return to the old stomping grounds. And I was not disappointed in the least. We get introduced to a new heroine and get to discover things all over from her perspective, which has been a lot of fun. The story is well written, fun to read and has a bit of steam, although I am confident it will become even more so as the series proceeds. So join the fun and climb aboard. You are in for a fun ride.

Highly recommended.

Iris is in for a lot of trouble. She is clearly addicted to sex, specifically reading about it, has a vivid imagination and a "job"
cataloging a massive collection of erotic art and literature at a school with a highly sexual staff and student body. This could be very bad or very, very good for her.

This is just the first installment in what looks to be another very interesting story about the folks at Bright Hall Academy. While there are only a few actual, or possibly imagined, interactions, the heat level rises to a low simmer pretty quickly and looks to go to a full, rolling boil as we move into the second book. There are also hints of potential intrigue. Having read the first Bright Hall series, I'll be surprised if nothing comes of them.

This is shorter than the books in the first series but just as well, or perhaps even better written. Now I just have to wait for the next book to come out.

This book is loosely (so far) connected to other Principal Lee books by the same author. They were excellent and so is this. As part of a series, you can expect this is not the whole story.

Iris is a grad student that goes against her parents wishes and gets cut off from funding. Desperate for some money to further her graduate studies, she takes up an offer to catalog a collection of ancient books. This story takes us through the job offer and her first day at this position. I eagerly look forward to the rest of the story and I think anyone that has read the other books will be just as interested.

This is a spinoff from the New Principal series, and follows Iris as she delves into her new job at the new library at Bright Hall. She's tasked with cataloging the secret collection of erotica the library holds. This new series is written in short episodes which I can only assume completes as one story. Each one is but a very short taste into what she experiences through the library and sexually from the college. While I enjoy the reads I would prefer them to be a little bit longer.

Great re-entry back into the Bright Hall world. It's really interesting watching things from an outsiders perspective in an already known place with known characters. Need more, but this is a great start.
