Jade has a dream; she wants a pack to call her own and alpha to love her. Unfortunately, that’s not what Jade has gotten. Her path has already been chosen for her. Jade has an alpha, but Holden doesn’t love her, let alone show her any affection. She’s left watching him with other females in the community, and there’s nothing that she can do to stop him. No amount of pleading with Holden gets the results that she wants. While the alpha ignores her, Holden’s second and brother Flint doesn’t. He gives Jade the love that she longs for, but they must keep their feelings for each other hidden. When Holden rejects her one last time, Jade gives up. She is tired of waiting for a moment that may never come. Jade shares herself with Flint in a desperate attempt for happiness, but it backfires when Holden catches them. Holden decides he no longer wants Jade or Flint in his pack. He ends up getting both of them expelled from their community. Now, Jade must find a new pack. If she doesn’t, she’ll never be allowed to come back home. With Flint by her side, Jade goes in search of an alpha and pack that will accept them and their love for each other. It almost seems like an impossible task, but maybe, just maybe, fate has a better future in store for them.

This was a quick read. Very fast paced at time, slow at others. The Jumping to each new settlement was so off considering each location wasn’t far from each other other. Previous chapters made the trip seem dangerous and long. That’s not the case. Wish there was more development on that front. Drama with the og mate was fun. Once she found her forever mates, things moved weirdly quick. I wish the development for those relationships were longer and more thought out. Spoiler: we get two time jumps at the end. One 6 months later where she is heavily prego with twins and another time jump at 9months later where she is giving birth. Making her pregnant for 15 months?!? I went back to double check the timing. Yep… 15 months. I had a good laugh with that mess up!

All Jade ever wanted was to be in a pack with an alpha who loves her. Instead, through an arranged mating, she ended up with Holden who did not love her, blatantly showing off other females he is with to hurt her. In pain and humiliation, she turns to Flint, Holden’s brother, who truly cares for her. When Holden discovers their relationship, they are expelled from the pack. But what could have been disastrous for them may turn out to be just what they needed!
This was a good story line with characters the reader could feel compassion for. What does the future hold for the exiled shifters who need a pack? Grab your copy and enjoy!
I enjoyed this book because I loved the two main characters together. I thought the author wrote a believable story of unrequited want towards a mate who was basically cruel. His actions show his disregard and disrespect towards her. I was surprised by the twist to the story but it made for a great adventure and made the book even better. Great storytelling with wonderful characters, engaging storyline and plenty of suspense, drama and steam.
Finding my Pack by Raven K. Asher is such an amazing story that I ahve read and fell in love with it. Jade just wants to be loved yet her intended keeps throwing that back into her face. So she takes her live into her own hands with her love. This backfires. Now she and her love, Flint are on a mission she find a pack before it is too late.
Plot line was good and progressed nicely. There were a few things that seemed to be repetitive with words, so that got a tad bit tiresome. All in all it was a fairly decent stand alone read.
DNF. The oppressive misogyny in the fmc's pack is painful to read. But what's even more painful is the INSANE amount of grammatical issues in this book. The flip-flopping between past and present tense every few paragraphs--or every few sentences--is awful. There's really no excuse for it. It's something that should have been fixed during edits, but I have a feeling those didn't happen.
If the author doesn't think it's worth editing, it's not worth reading.
Jade was to be with the Alpha of the pack, Holden. But he took every opportunity to ignore her and go with other women in the pack in front of her. His brother, Flint loves Jade and wants to be with her. When Jade finally gives in to Flint, Holden finds them and has them expelled from the pack. Now they must go find a new home and Alpha, and hope that they can be allowed to be together. Liked the ending.
This was a great read with characters that are well developed and engaging and have chemistry. The storyline is well written and flows smoothly from page to page.
