Fay Knowles really draws you into her delightful story of love and intrigue set in The Bahamas (Full disclosure: so am I!). It was refreshing to have a hero and heroine who are not lusty young lovers barely out of college. Love is precious at any age, and this mature couple have all the charm and charisma necessary to carry the story. The changes in location kept things hopping, and everything is tied up neatly in the end, leaving the reader with a sigh of satisfaction. The only reason I didn't rate it quite as highly as the sequel, DEADLY DECEIT, is because the pace is a little slower--but it's still everything you can ask for in romantic suspense. Now that I've finished the first two, I'm eagerly awaiting Book Three!

Dangerous Devotion is an engaging blend of romance and suspense that kept me invested from the start. Violet and Gordon’s story felt heartfelt and real, especially as they faced both emotional challenges and external dangers while trying to build a life together.

I really enjoyed the Scottish setting, which gave the book a strong sense of place and added depth to the characters’ struggles. The mix of mystery, love, and resilience made it easy to keep turning the pages, and Fay Knowles has a warm, relatable writing style that draws you into the characters’ emotions.

Overall, it’s a solid start to the Buchanan Mystery series heartfelt, suspenseful, and uplifting. I’m curious to see what comes next for Violet and Gordon.

Really enjoyed it

great story with lots of moving parts. I was excited to reach the end to find out if Tate and Claudia finally got their comeuppance. As a Bahamian, I loved reading about my country and appreciated the attention to details by the author. Kudos!
P.s. Got to meet the author purely by chance in a coffee shop in Nassau. What a delightful lady.
