Beast

Rate this book
Happily-ever-afters are only for fairy tales, right?

Helena Shaw hasn’t heard from her brother in days. Last she heard from him, he was going to the house of the beast—the cast-off of the Eolenfeld family. A family so rich that the next five generations probably won’t have to work a day in their lives.

She goes there to find him—and comes face to face with the beast.

Liam Black was banished to the rundown mansion when he was seven. He doesn’t care that the mansion is a crumbling mess. He doesn’t care that no one—not even his mother—can stand to look at his beastly face. A monster like him belongs in the dark, and he is perfectly fine with it.

Until Helena comes marching into his life.

Getting into the rundown mansion of the beast is easy. Whether Helena will be able to get out is a whole other matter.

Real life is nothing like a fairy tale. A true-love kiss won’t magically solve anything … or will it?

FABULOUS NEW SERIES!
I think that I fell in love with fairy tales with the very first one that I read when I was about 3. It’s been a lifelong love affair! I love all of the different tales, with all of their different variations, and all of the spin-offs. Beast is a beautiful rendition of Beauty and the Beast with the marred, but redeemable, characters that you find in Trisha Graces’ books. I love the mystery that keeps you guessing throughout the book, and that (not a huge spoiler-I promise!) our heroine confronts her demons and rescues herself. Of course, our hero.... NO! No spoilers! Quite possibly the best part - and every single scene in this book qualifies as a BEST PART- is that it is the first book in a series!!! *HappyDance! Every single one of the characters, well, the MAIN characters, absolutely steal your heart. I can’t wait to see Helena and Liam’s romance continue as we get to see his brother’s each find their HEA. Lovely romance, awesome storyline, incredible characters, and the fun will continue. I’m happy!

A fresh, modern-take on Beauty and the Beast, without losing the essence of the story I loved. Since this is my favorite fairy tale, it’s hard for me to pass on a re-telling of it. Beast has it all: romantic-tension between Liam and Helena, traumatic pasts, dysfunctional families and suspense. It has a new storyline and extra characters to make things interesting and more real-life.The romance was clean (and actually romantic, which I appreciate) with some chivalry thrown in for good measure. I loved the fact that Liam reminded me of a human, wounded lion, with a big heart. This is the first book in a while that I’ve been excited to read and wanted it to continue. Thanks, Trisha Grace, for sparking my interest in reading again!

Helena hasn’t heard from her brother and is worried. She was told he was going to the beasts home but no one has seen him since. Liam lives in the mansion that is falling down around him but it’s been his home since he was 7 and sent their by his family. His face is so ugly that they will not look at him. Helena goes to the beasts home to find her brother but when she goes in she comes face to face with the beast. What will he do to her and will he let her go? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

It’s my new favorite book! Maybe because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale, I loved the echoes of it in the story and found it ironic when they insisted that it wasn’t. When you think about it though, the issues here are disturbing and downright scary. What I loved most was the purity of characters and the strength of your chosen family.

I love Trisha Grace's novels hugely, but in all honesty, I struggled to get into this particular book. I found the beginning portion about how the female lead character came to stay at the mansion a little flimsy. However, once I got into the rest of the book, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and again, I couldn't put the book down.

Hmm..I liked Bobby's character. His character was most fleshed out than all. He was selfish, egoistic, had issues but was still caring. I hope the author releases a novella for him.
The romance was too mushy for my liking.I would have liked a bit of angst between the couple. All the characters seemed inter changeable to me.

He had been hiding in his house for years due to a scar he feels is ugly. She comes looking for her brother who talks her into staying in his place. She thinks the scar makes him look like a warrior. He has found 4 half brothers and they are becoming friends. Will they stand a chance at love? Will he ever leave his house? Sure glad I read this ARC and found out.

I did wonder when I started reading, whether this story line was too oft done (probably because I'd just finished reading something that I thought would be similar). However, I soon realised that I was wrong! I don't want to tell you too much about the plot because that would give away the story but I will say that I like the plot twists that this book contains and that's it's not as clear cut as it seems! I am definitely looking forward to book 2 to see the twists that the author will put on that story. I did get this free in exchange for a review - but you are getting my honest opinion.
