I am starting this review with how much I am enjoying this author’s books. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.
Roxie and her daughter Lexi haven’t had the easiest time lately after the apartment she was sharing burnt down and they lost everything, her ex doesn’t want to pay child support and meagre amount she does get goes straight to pay for Lexi’s childcare. But finally things are looking up she has a new place to live and the possibility of a long term job offer in the making. But when she is in a car accident she is forced to ask her neighbour for help and soon her feelings are so much more than she ever thought she would fell again but with the threat of her ex Sam trying to take away her daughter can she really start something with the handsome mechanic Maddox?
Maddox is back from the Army and trying to make a life for himself but one look at his neighbour and her daughter and things changed, when she called and needed his help he knew that he would do whatever it took to make them both smile again and it’s not long until he can’t imagine his life without Roxie and Lexi in it so when they are threatened he will do all he needs to do to keep his new found family together. But how will Roxie feel when he tells her how he really feels and will she want his love after all her ex has done?
Short, sweet and steamy read that you can’t help but enjoy. Highly recommended for a night time read.

So much had changed while Maddox was overseas in the military but now, he is back home and keeps to himself. Roxie is his new neighbor and has a daughter who are trying to get back on their feet after an apartment fire. Now her executive ex-husband wants to take their daughter away from her and has the money to do it. Maddox becomes Lexie’s hero when he helps her find his doll and when he meets Roxie sparks fly. Can he help keep his insta-family together? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, emotion and steam. I really liked it.

From this moment, slowly, they get closer, but Roxie has to face the reactions of the father of her daughter who seeks to control her.

The both have baggage but together they clean it out
Well I have a new book boyfriend with Maddox!!! He initially seems like a lone wolf living his life in a very regimented way. He is the manager of the body shop at Roy's Auto Repair where he also works as a mechanic, he comes home after work and hits the training dummy in the back yard to work out, grabs some dinner and then hangs at home and goes to bed to wake up the next morning and do it all over again. He is dealing with the aftermath of serving a tour in Kuwait and missions in Baghdad. His life is simple and he does not want anything complicated.
Recently he rented the other half of his duplex to Roxie and her young daughter Lexi. Lexi and Roxie were roommates with Seline and when their apartment burned from arson they lost everything. Initially they moved back to Roxie's parents place but when Seline moved in with Rocco then he did a favor for Rocco and they moved Roxie and Lexi in next door. He does not really interact with either of the ladies and he is okay with that.
But things start to change when Maddox comes home one day and after working out for a but there is a tap on his elbow. He whirls around and there is little Lexi asking if he can help her find Suzy, her doll. Roxie is on the phone with Lexi's father and things are more than complicated as he is an ass. Maddox helps find Suzy, as Lexi tends to play hide and seek with her dolls and then forgets where they are. Roxie ends her call and goes looking for Lexi finding her around the side of the house with Maddox. Maddox and Roxie have a friendly chat which makes his minds start thinking some things.
A few days later Roxie starts her first day at a new temp job. She is going to be the Administrator at an interior design firm. If things go well then she could be offered the position permanently, which she is really hoping for. Things go really well the first day and she impresses her new boss. But it seems that life has not dealt her enough blows as on her way to pick up Lexie from daycare Roxie is rear ended. Just after, as she is still sitting in the car, she gets a call from the lady that runs the daycare saying that she has to leave right away. Only one name comes to Roxie's mind and it is Maddox. Once he hears what has happened he is on it like white on rice, going home to pick up the car seat, picking up Lexi and then heading to the accident scene to help Roxie. He just springs into action and things are starting to shift for him even more. He and Lexi had already made plans to have pizza and chicken nuggets for dinner and Maddox figured Roxie would not want to cook. They have a good evening and even share a kiss. His protective Alpha is coming roaring out and over the next days that grows stronger as they fall into a routine - Maddox buys the food, Roxie cooks dinner, they eat together then clean up together and watch a movie with Lexi and then make out like teenagers. He is going to wait for Roxie to give the green light and after ten days she does and they have a very sexy and hot time in her bedroom, trying to be quiet but not being really successful.
Several weeks later on a Friday Roxie's boss wants to talk with her on Monday after she went above and beyond at the company with a client. It seems there may be bigger things in store for her, a plan the boss says. But when he ex shows up unexpectedly that night and starts causing trouble Roxie is beside herself as he takes for away Lexi for the weekend after threatening cops, lawyers and child welfare. Roxie has a very hard weekend but on Monday she heads to work and is offered a great new job with a very nice pay raise. At the same time Maddox has a meeting himself, with her ex at his office. It seems he really does not Lexi as it is all about the money to him. He tells the truth which Maddox uses to his advantage and they strike a deal. Maddox is going to take care of Lexi and Roxie because he loves them both and they are a family, if not officially yet.
Maddox is the fourth book in the Blue-Collar Bad Boys series but these Alpha men are anything but bad, that is unless they are defending their woman and family. This is a well written book with a tight story-line that is entertaining and engaging. The characters are wonderful and you find yourself rooting for them to have a HEA. A definite RECOMMEND READ!!!

If you keep in mind this is a short insta/lust/love story without too much heavy lifting a minor amount of angst and you will be good.
Maddox while he’s a mechanic don’t think that makes him any less of a gentleman. Acclimatizing back to civilian life can really do a number on some soldiers, Maddox seems to be handling himself well, if not a bit lonely.
Roxie and her daughter, Lexi are trying to put their lives back together after the apartment she shared with a friend went up in smoke. Plus Roxie is dealing with a slimy ex that is challenging her for custody of their daughter.
Roxie initially captivated Maddox when she first moved in, however he kept his distance and didn’t want to get caught up in her ongoing drama. As life would have it Roxie ended up calling on Maddox to assist when she has in an auto accident. From there on these three became inseparable.
The story is rather sweet as Maddox and Roxie try to keep things on the PG rated side around her daughter, it isn’t too long before these two take things to the next level. Of course her ex is the major problem in this seamless creation of a new family. With the exception of her ex, the two adults are both very likeable and Lexi is adorable, and you are rooting for them to have their HEA as a new family.

This story is absolutely fantastic! What a heartwarming, tender, passionate loving story. Maddox is a single, hunky, gentle man who has rented his duplex to a woman who’s apartment was burned down. Roxie is a divorced woman who has a daughter, Lexi. Lexi will touch your heart- a real cutie pie. Roxie Is just starting a new job and ends up being rear ended in her car. She calls Maddox to see if he can pick up Lexi for her and he agrees to come and get her, too. Maddox works at a auto shop. Her car is not going to be ready right away so Maddox volunteers to pick up Lexi each day and then pick up Roxie from work. Soon they start eating together. Maddox is gentle, tender, supportive of Roxie and he loves Lexi. Maddox is starting to feel this is what he is missing in his life without even knowing it. Maddox wants Roxie. Does Roxie want Maddox? This is just a fantastic read. It is a great story and the characters are so likable you want them to get together. Each story gets better and better, I can’t wait for the next one. It is a short little read that will brighten your day! You will love it!

Maddox is a boss! ❤️ Roxie moves into the apartment next to Maddox‘s duplex they’ve done the neighborly wave hi to one another but haven’t really chatted. Maddox finds her beautiful but he’s dealing with his post deployment and isn’t ready to really meet up with anybody yet. Lexi, Roxie‘s daughter asked Maddox for help one day which leads to the two of them really is getting to know one another in spending time together. When Roxie’s involved in a car accident Maddox comes to her aid. They begin a relationship and it seems to Maddox with Lexi they’re becoming a small family unit. Things are going well until Sam, Roxie’s ex comes and decides to take Lexi with him, claiming Roxie is unfit. Sam doesn’t want to pay the small amount a child support that he currently pays. Maddox visit Sam and tells him he can stop paying child support if he’ll call off the lawyers. Maddox says he’s gonna take care of Roxie and Lexi from now on. They get their happily ever after with a cute epilogue five months later.

Maddox is feeling lost since leaving the army. He now spends his days working as a mechanic and coming home to an empty house every night. Roxie has had a bad couple of months first her apartment burned down due to arson and now her ex wants to take their daughter. Needing a place to live she moves into Maddoxs rental. They keep their distance from one another until Roxie's daughter Lexie seeks Maddoxs help to find her doll. Soon they are inseparable and love turns their world bright and full of promise. Roxie's ex is still in the background though trying to ruin their happy little world. Maddox is not letting go without a fight though and he will do anything for his girls. This book was simply perfect and a great continuation to the series.

This wonderful book about a single mom and her blue collar hero gave me all kinds of feels. Maddox is a veteran/mechanic going through life alone and feeling he is incapable of love but gets a lovely surprised in the form of single mom Roxie and her precious daughter Lexi. Roxie is going through some rough times, homeless and having to deal with a crappy ex/baby daddy. In comes Maddox to the rescue...he provides a home for her and her daughter, takes care of her emotionally and physically(HOT sexy times) and handles that ex surprisingly without violence (wouldn't fault him if he did). It really was fate that brought these two lovely people together and I'm glad I got to read their story. Keep it coming Mazzy! Dying to read about the next blue collar alpha man...perhaps Major?

This is a Blue Collar Bad Boy Next Door story. This is Maddox, Roxie and her daughter, Lexi's story. Maddox has returned from another deployment and is.feeling like home is not quite what he is wanting. Due to a fire in her apartment with her roommate, Roxie and her daughter, Lexi need a new place to stay. Maddox purchased the whole duplex he currently loves in but has yet to rent out the other half. He offers it up to Roxie. This is the beginning to a series of events that will bring these two broken souls together for a HEA. A great short story sure to pull you in and provide a great escape from every day stresses. Maddox is a mechanic, hopeful soon-to-be business owner, and landlord. Roxie is a single mom who lost everything in a recent fire, and she's renting a duplex unit from Maddox. He helps out when she has a bad day, and they fall into a nice routine. But her ex is back, and he takes her daughter with him. This is short and sweet, and we eventually find a happy ending. Roxie - a wonderful woman, great mom, love that she finally gets a break at work. Maddox - holy hotness - really nice guy, proving to Roxie that when the worst thing happens, he's all in with her. Lexi - so cute, and she just loves Maddox, Roxie's been doing a terrific job raising her alone.

Good but way too short
This is the 4th book in the series. I had not read the previous books so I had no idea how short each book is, barely 40 pages. I’m not a fan of books that short. This story is about Maddox, Roxie and Lexi. I do like books with one having a child. This was an enjoyable read but the story does not have enough pages to be fully enjoyed but I did enjoy it regardless and I am rating it in the experience. Lexi is a sweet little girl and loses her doll.

You never know that you have next door until you help someone in need.

I loved Maddox by Mazzy King! Maddox has returned from war and settled into civilian life. Things have changed while he was away with his sister engaged to his buddy. He was feeling lonely until he meets single mom Roxie. He is immediately smitten with her and her adorable daughter Lexie. Roxie is struggling to raise Lexie on her own with little help from her obnoxious ex-boyfriend. When Lexie's father threatens to take her away from Roxie, Maddox is ready to claim his family. If you enjoy sweet and steamy romance, Maddox is definitely for you!

Quick, fun, and sexy! I loved how well Maddox and Roxie fit into one another's lives. From the beginning, Maddox treats Roxie's daughter, Lexi, as his own. And slowly but surely, they fill the whole in Maddox's heart. Maddox and Roxie each heal the other's heart, and Lexi gain a true father. Mazzy does it once again with Maddox and Roxie's story. She kept me interested and made me love her characters. There is something about a single mom being able to find somebody who loves her as well as her child as their own that gets me every single time and makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love being able to read these so quickly as well, which isn't to say I wouldn't love to have more story.

This is well written, insta-love, bad-boys next door, happily-ever-after, STEAMY romance. This story is well-developed with characters that have substance and very hot chemistry. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating and has HEA. This is a standalone book 4 part of the Blue-Collar Bad Boys Next Door series. Must Read

Maddox and Roxie become friends when he helps her out and seem to grow feelings the more they are together. When she needs help he stands up for her and shows her he is all in. Love can be gentle and kind when you let it in.

Wonderful short novella, love the characters and storyline. It was nice in recognition of a true stand up blue collar guy. Enjoyed the outcome and and all the relation to the other correlating stories in this series.

I enjoyed this so much. It was perfect for me after a long day to wind down before bed. It sexy but also sweet with how Roxie and Maddox just fall into a routine with Lexi. Their relationship develops natural and just gave me a big smile. I didn’t like Sam and loved how Maddox handled that situation.

Absolutely fantastic! A passionate, steamy, fast pace, well though-out, witty, funny, and emotionally deep read. The characters are amazing, sweet, and relatable; their chemistry is off the charts. This book will captivate you from page one and hold your interest until the end. Definitely recommended!

Loved this quick and fun read. Maddox and Roxie were such a good couple. The chemistry and attraction that was between them was very good. This story will grab you from page one. It was a sweet story that had a steamy side to it. Great read.

Another great book
Liked how they saved each other, him from not adjusting well after being in the service. Her after being involved with a jerk and almost caught up in a house fire. The little girl was the bright spot of their lives. Enjoyed reading their story. Thanks. Written by Cindy :)

There's no way a mother would let her child go with her father after seeing and feeling his violent side, he shoved the h so hard she fell on her but and Maddox allowing it to happen, no just no. This one was just so unrealistic from child support issue and threatening custody over nothing just because he's A narcissistic ass. No more.

This is a great quick read about two broken people who come together and heal each other and find a new love neither of them expected. Also in the equation is a beautiful little girl, Lexie. This is a great short story that will melt your heart.
