His touch has killed before. If only knowing it would stop me from laying my hands on him now. I’ve been told my love for adventure would get me in trouble one day. When I agree to be taken to a place unknown to entertain a group of men I’d never met, I wonder if that day has come.It is supposed to be a fantasy brought to life. Until one man hijacks it, taking over my imagination, my body, and eventually my heart. Except that he turns out to be not a man at all and his dark past might ruin everything between us before it even began.Unknown to us, danger lurks in the shadows, leading me to discover firsthand that sex demons have their vulnerabilities. And even Vadim, the Grand Master of the Eastern Council is not Grand Master is a paranormal romance that contains graphic descriptions of intimacy, sexual themes, and violence. Once again, another amazing book by Marina Simcoe. This story was intense and full of so many steamy moments. There is also a lot of suspense and intrigue weaved throughout. And I loved how it wove pieces of the previous stories into it. All building up to one giant ending (but not until the next book)!!
Jade and Vadim are amazing characters. Jade with her need for adventure and extreme adrenaline. She's a very strong character that isn't afraid of trying something new and dangerous. Vadim is a broken demon (or so he thinks he is). Jade has just the right kind of fierceness and strength that Vadim needs. Both are perfect characters together and their interactions are explosive and extremely heated.
Favorite quote: "Don't let the fear kill what hasn't had a chance to flourish yet, Jade. Let it take root."
Fantastic world building and character development. The ending was terrific and leaves us wanting to read the next book as soon as possible, as it is going to be explosive.
A thrilling story for Vadim and Jade! I think Jade is a bit of an adrenaline junky. She certainly finds some thrills and chills in her encounters with Vadim and his colleagues. Jade has such a strength of purpose. What she sets her mind to, she achieves. It’s a good thing, because Vadim has some serious issues to deal with before they can reach their common goal. It’s quite an enticing ‘slow burn,’ if you can call such heated encounters a slow burn. Their story builds to an exciting crescendo in the adept hands of the author. Such an excellent story!
Another hit in this world! I love that we got to find out a little bit more of the Demon side of things and we also get an older Demon. Vadim has to be my favorite so far, I loved how deep and quiet he was but at the same time so possessive of Jade. I loved her tenacity and her will to protect the man she loves and those that he cares about. I am so excited to find out where this is going and to see the next installment. I will never get enough of these Demons!
4.25 Stars I really liked this book. It was a really good continuation to the series and I felt like it did the characters justice. I was really excited for Vadim’s story going in and I felt like I got what I was looking for. The push and pull that I thought was missing from the last book was there, the progression of Vadim and Jade’s story was exactly what it needed to be, and the story flowed really well.
Ultimately, it wasn’t as good as the first book but I definitely think it was an improvement from the second one. I’m excited to continue the series and see where this author takes it next.
Another one of the series which was really good.I loved the main characters,Vadim and Jade..Vadim is one of the grand masters who is scared to touch Jade due to his incubus, incase he loses control and takes all her life force, but jade won’t give up on him and without giving it away..it ends up with a happy ending…🥰
Phew, we're back at it with a winner! This was super exciting and suspenseful, and the beginning started out so spicy and delicious! Jade was a strong character who wasn't ashamed of her desires and I loved her.
After that crazy tense climax, I can't wait for the finale!
In this story we have our h Jade, who could be considered an adrenaline junkie, and is always looking out for the next fun adventure. Jade is a young Australian working in Belarus, and is lamenting how her life has turned out -while longing for something new and exciting to happen. It isn't until she meets a nervous prostitute outside a party, and sees her being picked up by a mysterious black van, that she sets out on her wildest adventure yet.
However, what starts as an experiment in fulfilling her own fantasies quickly turns into the deep need for a connection to the mysterious man just beyond the blindfold. While Jade's feelings continue to grow, greater forces are conspiring to tear her new budding romance apart.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first two, but I still had fun reading Jade and Vadim's romance. I liked that Jude wasn't afraid of her sexuality, and went willing to the base to indulge in her fantasies. However, maybe it is the fact that Vadim is the grand master of the base
Also, I thought it was a good idea to switch the narrative to the Priory being the 'big bad' in this story for obvious reasons- but it still felt like it just gave the readers some one else to dump the blame on instead of the Incubi. Like I said maybe I didn't feel so attached to Vadim as a love interest is because he was the Grand Master and had much more control over his thoughts and actions that the previous H's. But still...The Priory were big ole d-bags so it wasn't hard hating them.
Grand Master is a solid addition to the Demons series by Marina Simcoe.
Vadim is the grandmaster of the Eastern Council. Under his leadership, volunteer Sources have been utilized so that less women have to die. Jade is an adventurous woman who happens across a volunteer Source. Jade, curious as ever, decides to go in her stead one day.
Vadim not being able to control Feeding through touch was an exciting concept, and I loved how it took time and patience for him to get to the point where he could. Jade’s persistence was admirable.
Jade didn’t necessarily have commitment issues, but she stated that romantic relationships and other aspects haven’t been able to hold her interest. It was refreshing to watch her fall in love with Vadim. She showed how much she cared for him in a way that felt genuine (e.g. staying with his body while he was summoned).
This had a lot of exposition through dialogue in weird places. Jade found out Vadim was a demon, and the next time they spoke, he immediately starts discussing the intricacies and feud with the Priory. It just felt out of place.
I wish we’d gotten to see the couple more settled. The epilogue didn’t feel like closure. Yes, the overall storyline will be continued in the next book, but it seemed like Jade still has personal goals with no ways of reaching them.
The world the author has built is like no other. I’m looking forward to seeing how Raim redeems himself and to discover how the incubi defeat the Priory.
This series was mildly entertaining, enough to continue. UNTIL - the author either forgot her world building and rules or just decided to ignore both. So are the demons beings from another dimension (3rd book info) or fallen angels(1st book worlding building)? If they have a special stone that lights up when a demon is near and one can't enter until the human wearing it invites them, then how does a demon just pop into the room the human is in??
It is refreshing to read a paranormal book that is not about vampires or wolves. This is one in a series about incubus (incubi?) who as sex demons need to feed on sexual energy rather than food. This has lead them to rather creative was to obtain this. I don’t want to give anything away, but this is how the main characters meet. The world that these “men” have created is changing as they meet women they start to love. Evil comes into the equation and the men need to learn to work together to save...well let's just leave it there. Read this book it’s great.

Author Simcoe has such a unique writing style that is truly captivating. I could not put this book down once I started it. There was romance, intrigue, mystery, a few blind turns and incredible sexual chemistry between Jade and Vadim. We got a glimpse of a couple more demons and a bit more back story on how the Demons have evolved. I have enjoyed this entire series so far and can't wait to see where the author takes it in the future!
I love this series. It is absolutely amazing how this series has developed, and this book is the best one yet. The storyline/plot is brilliant and captured me within the first few pages. I absolutely fell in love with the characters that were so well written that you feel with and for them. I can not wait to see what happens next .

‘When an Incubus loves, he gives you his heart and his soul. You have to be careful not to damage that gift.’
I thoughtfully enjoyed Demon Mine, I was less entertained with The Forgotten, and I was absolutely ecstatic with Grand Master.
From start to finish, this book held my complete attention. Marina Simcoe really had a way with words, and the romances and characters are just perfect. Vadim was an interesting character but Jade really is the most prominent lead and I really enjoyed her character, she was brave, strong and smart especially when shit went down near the end.
If I understand correctly there are only two books left until the end of the series, which makes me sad. I really hope we would get more books, more romances between Incubi and humans... but maybe I'll make my peace with it once I've read The last Unforgivenbook 5, final.
Do I recommend this book ? Absolutely!! However I would highly recommend to read all the books in order to gain a better understanding of the ongoing plot that has started with the first book and is still going on in this one. Not reading the previous books might leave you a bit confused regarding certain characters and events of the past.
Would I reread it ? Possibly , once the whole series is out I might end up rereading it completely.
The story line was good, different "demons" than what I'm used to reading, doesn't make it bad, just not sure if this writing style is something I could get into, with reading the remaining books. Yes, I have it 5 stars, the storyline was good, characters where very likeable and I did love the HEA! Yes, I also recommend this book for the reasons above and hope you enjoy this one and the whole series.

I loved Jade and Vadim’s story and am eager to read more about the demon world. It’s really different from all the demon books I’ve read and I really enjoyed it can’t wait for more

That ending though! Loved it, every freaking minute of it! So many more questions now. 2020 is going to be a hell of a long wait to find out what is going to happen next!
What an amazing book! I loved Reading Jade and Vadim's story. This series just keeps getting better and better. I've yet to read a book by Marina that I haven't loved.
MAYBE I HELD TOO HIGH AN EXPECTATION FOR THIS ONE. I LIKED THE IDEA OF VADIM, THE ANTIHERO KIND IN THE FIRST TWO BOOKS, BUT HERE WHILE HE RETAINED HIS POSITION, IT'S LIKE WE SEE A WHOLE NEW SIDE OF HIM. NOT SURE I FOUND IT ANY DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER TWO STORIES.
HERO is Grand Master of the Incubi for his side of the continent and after a thousand years, he's finally met a female who grabs his attention like no other. Back in the medieval times, he accidentally killed a woman while they were having sex and from then on, it became a trauma he never ever want to experience again. This explains his extra caution with handling humans and also Jade. His attraction to Jade was seductive at first but after awhile, it just fizzled out for me. This is where the conspiracy and bad guys come into play, but even then I couldn't quite tune into it. Probably my short attention span because the chemistry between the MC's were already established, time for me to move on.
HEROINE is a rolling stone that gathers no moss. Originally from Australia, she's barely lived there all her life since her job takes her around the world and she's also an adrenaline junky. I'm not a firm believer of the YOLO concept, mainly because people do die from it and then you can't YOLO anymore. Personally Jade isn't my kind of heroine because she doesn't understand the concept of commitment, she fleets and once the high is gone, she just abandons you. I dislike people like that. Nothing personal to anyone out there who has the same behaviour, I just prefer stability and consistency. When Jade steps foot into a whole new world of Incubi, she thrives in the orgasms and anonymous caresses but soon, her attention zones in on one male only - Vadim. The fun is no longer there when the one male she wants won't even touch her. When the arrangement ended, begins their friendship and her determination to help them be able to touch skin to skin. If nothing else, Jade's determined and when she loves, she's at least loyal.
OVERALL it started off pretty interesting and then later it just became downright predictable, I skimmed a little because hey, there wasn't much difference from the last two books except for the conspiracy and antagonists' plot that changes things. Can't wait for Raim's book though. Hope it won't be disappointing or predictable. After awhile, the originality of the concept gets old.
This series is so different than your normal paranormal series. The demons, incubi, were sent to earth centuries ago as punishment. They must earn their forgiveness. To be forgiven, they must earn love. However, they feed off females emotions and thusly have caused the death of many females by draining them.
Fortunately, the demons are starting to find that one woman that can love them even though they are demons. This book is about Vadim, the Grand Master, and Jade.
Jade originally goes to their base at the recommendation from a friend. She attracts the attention of Vadim, the leader of this group of demons. Vadim cannot stop himself from trying to get closer to Jade, her emotions are to difficult for him to ignore. As they grow to know each other better, they begin to fall in love. When Vadim is summoned by an enemy only Jade can save him.
This is really a great series. If you're tired of the same old paranormal, give this series a go.
Marina Simcoe's incubi are sizzling off the page in the third entry to her Demons series. It's the perfect blend of light horror and romance to titillate the senses and your imagination.
I loved, loved, loved the callbacks to the things that I loved about the first book: the council and the intrigue.. and the feedings ;) I especially loved how strong our female protagonist Jade was. No blushing flower, Jade pursued her desires and fought for a romance she didn't even believe she had faith in.
Small glimpses of previous characters we were introduced to in earlier books were welcome visits with old friends. I absolutely cannot wait for Raim's book. I'm a huge fan of angst and I can almost see it seething off of him.
If you're not reading this right now you should be! Get to it!
Once again, the story though taken from the same premise, tells yet another and different story than the first two books. The female protagonist differs from the first two so much that I am surprised it came from the same author mind. I find this writing extremely well crafted, because authors usually fall in love with a specific (basic) character and it keeps coming up again and again. Here I find this was not the case. Also, unlike the first two books, this one has a strong thriller and suspense streak, so much in fact, that I left the novel twice because I was afraid of what will happen to my protagonist. Very well written story! And, as expected, the large series plot arch continues into this book as well, revealing some earth-shaking truths (of this fiction world). Looking forward to the book 4!
4,1 stars I like the book however I struggle with Jade, that need to force on to Vadim her sense of morality gets to be very tiresome. For her, there needs to be a justification for killing, somehow an idea that makes killing ok instead of truly understanding that her guy is a demon! and has been here for so long that yes they made many mistakes, especially with the sources and how they dealt with women over the centuries, which is very much how society has been towards women. Other than that, I truly enjoyed the story and looking forward to read more of this. I believe that a book that makes me feel even when I do not like what I am feeling is an awesome read :-)
I missed the first two books but I was easily able to get into this book. It really is different and has quite a bit going on. Incubus demons that can’t touch humans without taking the chance of hurting them. But incubus are sex demons but that doesn’t mean they have to participate. They feed off of positive feelings. The story has two main characters. Both are strong willed and determined but the need for each other may be what destroys them. Things do heat up just a bit but otherwise the scenes between them are very sweet.
I am so intrigues by what happens next! This book is Jade and Vadim's story, but it starts questions rolling about the demon world and their future. I loved many of the revelations in this book (the mistresses especially!) and look forward to seeing how it plays out. Great book!
Jade is a good match to grandmaster Vadim. She is strong, independent, nononsense and has a strong sense of duty. There were a few times I thought she pleaded with him a bit much, but that's the story. We got many questions answered from the last book which was satisfying. Still some questions are left for the next book...
Yet another amazing story in this series. While I love each individual love story I’m beginning to be hooked on the larger story that continues from book to book in the series. I can’t get enough!
I couldn’t relate to the heroine’s thrill seeking risky behaviour and I don’t know what made her ‘essence’ so much more amazing than any other woman’s, but overall it was an okay read. My least fav of the series so far though. I hope Raim’s story is good.
