The fresh start I wanted in my hometown was destroyed when I saw Hayden.
He’s the man I used the love. The bad boy who ripped my heart apart and walked away. Hayden was never good for me. He’s part of the Heavy Hogs. Danger follows him everywhere.
I knew I shouldn’t have slept with him.
Not only is he in trouble again, but I’m also pregnant.
Can Hayden change his ways and become a family man?
…Or is the club rivalry more important to him than I could ever be?
If you like biker romances with bad boys, you'll love this book. Hayden is the ultimate biker bad boy who's over flowing with passion and good looks. Haven was his high school love who broke his heart when she left town for school. Fate brings them together again when an injury brings her home. Their attraction is still there but there's a lot of friction and drama. He's so involved with the Heavy Hogs Biker Club and she feels that it interferes with their relationship. No spoiler here but are they able to work out their differences and what about the baby on the way. This was a good book that was fun to read. The characters are likable and will steam up your Kindle. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
This book is titled Hayden: An MC Romance (Heavy Hogs Book1) on kindle version.
First, I have to say it, the summary of this book doesn’t match what happens in the book at all. Hayden never did anything horrible to Heather, in fact, in my opinion Heather was the offending character throughout the entire book.
I tried to understand Heather’s reasoning for basically treating Hayden like a fun distraction as teen and then like a fun hookup as an adult, but truly nothing she did made sense to me. Hayden was such broody and kind man who really took on a lot problems and tried to fix them, he even blamed himself for “holding” Heather back as teens.
I wanted to like the story, but Heather’s immaturity really ruined the book for me and some book moments didn’t make sense. At first, we are to believe that Hayden’s dad is an abusive father who doesn’t listen and doesn’t have the MC best interest in mind; then in the end we are given an excuse that he didn’t want to be the president and he did his best and all is forgiven. Not to mention that completely unreal moment with the Lizard, the President of the rival MC, where all the animosity and bad blood is suddenly squashed.
I think for me I expected one type of story as the summary showed and then when it wasn’t it, I tried to give it a chance, but it wasn’t for me.

This was more a second chance romance story than your typical MC trope. The heroine is a ballerina so focused on becoming a prima ballerina that she quit dating Hayden before her senior year of high school because he was such a distraction. She returns to her small California home town after rehab from being dropped by her partner while playing the starring role in Swan Lake. Ten years later, Hayden realizes he never quit loving her. He is still the mechanic. She is still the dedicated ballerina. What happens when she returns to audition for choreographer for the Chicago Ballet? And when in three days' time she beats out all competition to win the position? Read this book to find out!
This was a good book. I enjoyed it and fell in love with the love story between the two main characters. It was super sweet to see how everything played out. I was worried there would be more danger with the motorcycle club. It was heart breaking to see how everything was a struggle to figure out. Though they seem to get their heads on right eventually. It was kind of funny how the people outside of their relationship was so supportive. They also called them out on their mess when they needed to. My heart soared and then crashed but was mended again. Now I definitely need more of this motorcycle family. They seem like the beginning of something great.
A good second chance story that was written well. Hayden and Heather were high school sweethearts until she broke his heart. She left to go to Juliard and eventually became a dancer in the Chicago Ballet. Now she is back home due to an injury. Hayden is still part of the MC he dad is head of and likes living in their small town. When these two see each other again, the chemistry is still there. Will they act on it or be too afraid of getting hurt? It's amazing what love can do.. An enjoyable afternoon read.
I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. This is a great mash up of MC and second chance romance! Heather and Hayden thought they would be together forever in high school, until Hayden let Heather go to follow her dream - though she never knew it at the time. Now she is back home recovering form an injury and when she sees Hayden all those memories, good and bad, come rushing back. I love how they come back together, but have to deal with their own issues and insecurities and the passion that never went away. Great read!!!
This was a new author to me. The 10 book series was a free download, and I am reminded why I don't (usually) take every free read. This was titled Hayden on the copy I downloaded.
To be honest, I was only able to manage 2 1/2 chapters before I called it quits. The writing style wasn't to my tastes, and I found it uninteresting. It may have improved as it went on, but I was disappointed with what I read, and called it done. Too bad, 'cause I wanted a new MC to love. But this wasn't it.
Made it to 48% before jumping to the last few pages.
The story is supposed to take place 10 years after high school, when our main characters are around 28 yrs old. But from the writing, the dialog, the basic thoughts and actions, it seems like everyone is still teenagers.
It felt like a simple love story and not much else, unless that happened after the 48% point. I wouldn't call it an MC romance, because there was almost no MC happening in that first half.
I wanted to like the story, I really did, but I wanted more than a basic, simple book.
A biker and a ballerina. Hayden and Heather were childhood sweethearts but separated when Heather got the chance to be a ballarina. Fast forward 10yrs and Heather is back in her hometown to recover after a knee injury. Hayden is still a member of the Heavy Hogs MC but when he sees Heather again he knows he has never stopped loving her.
Will Hayden and Heather be able to find their happily ever after together, you will have to read it to find out.
This is my first time reading this author and she did a good job with the story. It seemed a little drawn out at times, but it keeps you turning the pages. Heather had her aspirations of being a ballerina and performing Swan Lake, but she had to let go of Hayden so she could stay focused.. Hayden had his own issues and part of those were the way his dad ran the club. Get your copy and read to see what happens. Happy reading!!
I liked the dual POV, but felt that at times it was very predictable. Personally I’m not a fan of the pregnancy trope and it felt a bit forced as a way just to get Hayden and Heather back together.
Also, the blurb states that Hayden hurt Heather and then walked away, but I think that is entirely inaccurate and it was Heather that broke up with Hayden the first time round.
I liked this story it was intense and emotional. The characters were a little naive in their relationship. I mean let’s have sex and everything will turn out like roses umm nope not gonna happen. I think they should have talked more and was more open then letting things happen.
Heather is a twat. You'd think after not seeing someone you used to love for ten years, when you broke up amicably, you would do better than give them a false fucking phone number. It shouldn't be unreasonable for her to act like the grown woman she is and either give him the right number, or tell him you aren't interested in catching up.

Elias Taylor is a new author to me so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wanted to read a new biker story so I thought I would give this a go. I am glad I did, I enjoyed the story, a second chance romance between Hayden and Heather. Hayden a member of the Hogs and Heather a ballerina. Onto to book Two in the series, Tripp!
Really enjoyed this book. Fast pace, can be read over a couple of days. Wanted to hit Hayden round the head a few times for not speaking up about his feelings. HEA so I was well pleased. Looking forward to the next 2 books.
I enjoyed this second chance romance read I liked heather and Hayden as characters and I enjoyed the chemistry tnst they had together this was a well written book full of drama steam and I was captivated from the very first page
Although the Hogs, meant the world to Hayden there was something that meant the world to him as well. High school sweethearts able to overcome the world together.
Hayden & Heather Okay I’ve been trying to read this book for the last week, normally I read a book sometimes two in a day. I just couldn’t get invested in the characters, really didn’t care about them at all. I got to 55% and quit.
I loved Heather and Hayden's story. Even after 10 years these two seem to connect right where they left off. I loved that she made a decision that was right for her and supported him and his decision regarding the club. I can't wait to start the next book.
Hayden & Heather had a good story. Good chemistry. It was an entertaining read. And a new author for me. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Hayden is a biker through and through but the sweetness he has in him with the hard biker is a mix that’s irresistible. Hayden and heather are perfect.
This was just an okay book for me. I didn't even want Hayden to end up with Heather at the end of it and the spicy scenes weren't as spicy as they could be. E
