A cute story, but a couple of issues.
1. Fat is not a bad word, Ms. Scarlett.
2. What is with your main couples having sex without protection?
So far, these two books have a certain quality about them that makes me think the author is very, very young.

The second book in this series and by far my fave.
Alice was on a night out with her friends when her ex Tate turned up, she scared and when he hurts her in the bar is grateful when two men step in. Mike insists on taking her to the hospital and get checks out. His protectiveness of her is something she’s never had before and her feelings take her by surprise. Is it really possible to fall in love at first sight?
Mike has watched his older brother fall in love and never believed him when he said you just know when she’s the one. After meeting Alice he’s fallen straight away but with the danger surrounding her and her ex stalking her will she even want a relationship, he knows he has to try and show her that they are meant to be. Will she give him a chance?
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book. Can’t wait to read the final book in the series. 4.3* Read.

Mike's out enjoying a relaxing evening with his brother when a disturbance across the room catches his attention: a woman being harassed and berated by what looks like her date. That won't do. Stepping in's an easy choice, and he knows he made the right decision when he meets the woman being hassled. She leaves him speechless. He sees all that's plain and "wrong" with her and declares her beautiful, declares she's perfect, declares she's his. For Alice, his words are a balm to her battered heart, his touch a reminder of kindness, his love a place she could live in.
This was an okay read. While Mike was everything I expected him to be, Alice...kinda wasn't it for me. She didn't come across as mature or strong as I felt she could be. Both seemed to lurk just beneath the surface of her skin but neither were given a chance to develop or really shine. Maybe if the story were a little longer?
The plot is good, straight to the point with a little bit of drama that brings closure to an earlier part of the story. Just that lack of connection to Alice for me clouded how great this could've been. However, it won't keep me from reading anything else by Ms. Scarlet. I look forward to Lee's story next.

Brilliant loved it loads
Brilliant second book. Mike helps out Alice when her ex drunk boyfriend makes a scene in the bar where he and his brother Lee where. Alice is scared of her ex Tate he keeps finding her a is abusive when he does after he gave her a black eye she walked away from him but he won’t accept it. Alice is standing behind her saviour Mike who also takes her to hospital when her arm was hurt. Mike waits for Alice and takes her home he asks her if she would like him to stay. Alice agrees to Mike staying over except the couch is too small so he shares her bed. In the morning Mike leaves to go to work but when he returns a couple of minutes later he surprised Alice who turned around face white and a knife in her hand that is it she can’t stay here. Alice agrees to go where Mike and his brother live it is safer than her place and also she gets to stay with Mike. Tate shows up at the house trying to scare Alice but the brothers are there and deal with it. Mike takes Alice to work but he has to return home when he gets there the windows are smashed he calls the police and starts to clean up when Tate turns up and shoots Mike. Alice runs to Mike and goes to the hospital with him but he will be ok. Mike was going to propose to Alice that night fancy restaurant, flowers and hotel but he couldn’t wait ends up proposing to her at the hospital.

Mike and his brother lee are at bar when they see a drunk man hurting a woman. And they dont think twice before they jumping in to help her. Alice is horrified that her ex Tate has found her again. And now he has hurt her. Mike takes her to the hospital but doesn't feel safe leaving her alone at home. Mike cant get over how protective he feels for her. He wants her to be in his future but he knows he has to be careful with her. So he offers to stay the night on her sofa so she will be safe.
Alice reports everything to the police about Tate but if honest she is worried about when Mike leaves and forgets about her will Tate come back?? So when he offers to stay she jumps on it. She cant get over how safe she feels with him. And she has this insane feeling about a him being her family. Could he be??
Would Tate leave her alone now??
This is a heart warming story of when you find your soul mate. But its also about abuse and finding the right way/person to help you survive. Its a brilliant read and I really hope the dreams for all three brothers comes true on that one special day

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Sawyer Brothers MC Series. In this book, Mike and Lee are out at a bar when they see a woman in trouble. Mike goes to see if she is ok and Lee makes sure the bouncer gets the guy who was causing trouble. Alice is a kindergarten teacher and decided to go out for a drink with her friends, but her ex showed up and caused trouble. When Mike and Lee came to her rescue, she was grateful. Alice's arm was hurt during the struggle and Mike offered to take her to the hospital to have it checked. Alice feels safe with Mike and allows him to take her. Mike is attracted to Alice and when he learns it was her ex, he vows to protect her and show her how she should be treated. Mike offers to stay with Alice for the night on the couch so she feels safe and she agrees, but worries what will happen when he leaves. Mike knows he has to give Alice time and not push too hard for her to be with him. I really loved this story. I love how protective Mike was and how he wanted to protect her. Mike wasn't scared of her ex and didn't care if it was too soon to love Alice. Another good one.

It had been a long day and all Mike wanted was to relax but then he heard a belligerent schmuck who was verbally abusing a young woman however when things start to get physical he and Lee step up and try to diffuse the situation.
Alice was humiliated by her dumb ex-boyfriend who wouldn't leave her alone.
Okay some would say asking a guy you barely knew to spend the night because your terrified of the jerk you thought you knew.
Alice knew one thing for sure laying there beside him was one of the best reckless thing she'd ever done, after all in for a penny in for a pound.
Alice just wished her ex-boyfriend would buy a clue she was done with him and she was never going to be a door mate ever again.
There is no denying Tate was a menace and a lose cannon and no one knew when or where he'd attack next.

Her protective hero

Mike is the second book in the Sawyer Brothers Series as is the story of Mike and Alice. As this is the first book I have read by Julie Scarlet I was not sure what to expect but as the book description caught my eye I thought I would give it a try. I enjoyed this fast-paced novella and thought it was somewhat entertaining. It turned out not be be exactly what the description said it was going to be but that was okay. I thought the characters could have been better developed, as with the short story you need to have them nailed down from the start otherwise they can come across as wishy-washy and weak.
Overall this was an okay book and I will be reading another one or two by this author before deciding to add to my permanent author listing.

Mike and his brother rescue a woman at a bar when some man hurts her. It turns out that he's her ex-boyfriend. Tate is physically and verbally abusive, acting like he doesn't want her, but he won't let her go. Alice loves her job as a teacher, and feels safe at work, but not at home. Mike has her at his house soon, but he gets a little too protective. I'm really enjoying this new series, having read the first two books this afternoon. Mike and Alice are so cute together. There's a bit of drama though - Tate is back, and he commits some crimes - but Mike and Alice head for their happy ending. I really enjoy that his brother Lee wants Alice to stay because she's such a good cook, and I'm looking forward to his story.

still short and sweet, this story starts to get a little dark and I am with it. TRIGGERS: Domestic Violence, Stalking. The remaining two Sawyer brothers meet Alice at a club when she's being assaulted by her boyfriend in a club. They save her and Mike knows immediately she's his. It's another insta romance but so important as protection and love become something that Alice needs more than anything. This story tells an important lesson of when it's ok to walk away and let things lie and when you'll need to step aside and let the police handle the situation. It's a lesson that so many get wrong and it could mean the difference of life and death. Such an important story and I love that these men are protective and loving of their women. Another great read. This one so far is my favorite.

Alice has an ex who is trouble. He keeps showing up where Alice is and making a scene, drunk, out of control, threatening. Mike comes to her defense in this latest case and gets her to the hospital for care. Mike waits for Alice and then drives her home. Alice is still scared that her ex might show up and Mike says he will stay so she is not afraid. The new friendship turns into an instant attraction, instant love. There are problems along the way, a few twists and turns. Can they work this out? It is an enjoyable read and you can finish it in one sitting.

The title and blurb for this book is very misleading. The story does not involve an MC and if Mike belongs to one, it is never mentioned. He also may be an older man to Destiny, but that also has no bearing to the story. Destiny is in a bar having trouble with her ex, when Mike comes to her rescue. For a nursery school teacher, her judgement leaves a lot to be desired because after being rescued from the crazy, abusive ex, she immediately moves in with a man she doesn't know. This is a short novella and while the Sawyer brothers are likable, the story is also forgettable.

Mike was introduced in book 1. He works with his two brothers, David and Lee at an auto shop. Mike and Lee are at a bar one night and hear, Alice yell. They step into help Alice out. While Lee, he is dealing with the bouncers, Mike gets a look at Alice and is instantly smitten. This book is action packed till the end. The author addresses something in this book that is a reality for some. She doesn't sugar coat what happens but she did her research on the topic. The characters are great. Now, I can't wait for Lee story and a triple wedding at the end.

The cover was great. Mike goes into a bar to relax after work, feeling the need for a cool drink. While in there, he hears and sees a argument between a man and woman. The woman objects to handled by the guy and Mike takes over and tells the guy to leave. The guy is the ex guy in the girls life. After a slight scuffle, the man is shown the door. The twists in this story and the angst are straight on with the story line. I recommend this read.

Fast paced, short story that's also a standalone. Mike and his brother end up saving a woman when some loser hurts her. The loser is her ex-boyfriend. Tate, her ex, is abusive physically and verbally. He doesn't want her but he doesn't want anyone else to have her. Alice feels safe at work as a school teacher but not at home by herself. While I'm not convinced this is and MC series its intertaining at times you have and abusive ex a mechanic who with the help of his brothers run there shop and find women to love. You have Alice she makes some questionable choices in her men.
Alice well her ex won't leave her alone he's abusive Mike and his brother Lee get evolved and then Alice ends up living with Mike there romance is fast a little two fast for me and thats why I'm giving it 4 stars.

If you love your over the top instalove romances then this book about a mechanic and a school teacher is for you....when Mike and his brother help out a woman being harassed by another man at a bar....Mike understands what his older brother meant when he told him that he will know when he meets the one.....the moment Mike set his eyes on the curvy school teacher his " caveman" reared its head......all the alpha wants to do is keep her safe and worship her curves.

An enjoyable fast pace and engaging read! It is well written, emotionally deep, engaging, funny, and entertaining with some ups and downs, twists and turns, suspense, drama, steam, danger, and more. The characters you will like and root for; their chemistry is instant and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Julie Scarlet is a new author for me and I am so glad I read this story. Mike is out with his brother at the bar when he rescues a young woman from her abusive ex-boyfriend. Alice was out with her girlfriends when her ex shows up to cause trouble. Mike is immediately attracted to Alice and he is determined to protect her. He knows he has finally found the one for him but will he be able to protect her when he ex strikes again?

I really liked this well-written, insta-love, book 2 in the Sawyer Brothers MC Series which is a romance between and older man and a younger woman. It has great and feisty characters with chemistry. He is a mechanic and she is a nursery school teacher. They met at a bar where her ex was causing problems. The story line is also good. I did buy the book so I can read it again. A must read

The author has done it again. She has brought back some of our favorite characters and introduced us to some new ones. This time, Mike, the second Sawyer brother meets the woman of his dreams. He wants to protect her from her ex and their relationship flourishes until the danger accelerates from the ex.

The second Sawyer Brother has found the love of his life and it was love at first sight. It was kinda sweet how protective he is but understandable. And Lee provided the salt for al the sweetness. I couldn’t wait for his story, next.

The title sure says it all I had a great time and was highly entertaining with each turn of the page. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end. Hot and steamy MC read loved it.

I really love next book in this series.
Alice jsut wanted good night out….but her ex show up...and it goes to hell.
But them Mike apeares, and save her. He takes care of her, after her injury ...and fall in love instatly.

This was a great addition to the series. I thoroughly enjoyed he story line. The character work was great. The book had a smooth flow. I can't wait for the next one.

This is the 2nd book in this stand alone series. it is an older man younger woman romance. The characters have a instant connection and the story line is short but enjoyable.

This is a hot and steamy read. This is the second book in this Sawyer Brother MC Series. You will not put it down till the very last word. This is a sexy older alpha male and a younger woman. Their chemistry is off the charts. A must read.

This is the second book in the series. I liked this one more than the first. It was a short read filled with sweet and sexy moments with a decent amount of drama. Two brothers down, one to go. I'm looking forward to the next book.
