gallery

Is probably the biggest and most daunting word in the art world. This book has so many great tips on how up and coming artists can redefine its meaning in their career and how to thrive in and out of one. Well done!

Great Place to Begin for Fine Art Photographers

I read this in Amazon Kindle Unlimited. This book by Gita Joshi is a great guide for artists starting out and covers the essential basics of what you should be doing. Though this book isn't genre specific, nor needs to be, I highly recommend it to traditional photographers who are looking to start a fine art business. It's a different journey. Show Your Art: How to Build an Art Career is an informative place to start.

For people who want to sort of know where to begin in an art career it hammers some good points.

You’re an expert of your own work, marketing/PR is 75% of the job, and that if you need help ask for it.

It also recommends artists, social media sites, and where to start your own research to.

I’d advise people to read this if they want to know what the career of an artist could entail. You are running the business of being you with your work.

Would give it 3.5 stars.

Very useful and encouraging

This was a very useful book that laid out marketing in doable and sensible way. Most books focus on how to build your insta, but that doesn't garner sales.

A great read for emerging artists

I like the book, I was expecting it to be more in depth. However there are quite a few things you can learn if you have no prior ideas of how you can sell your art online.

A very useful book on all the things that you have to do as a professional artist but somehow art school has not taught you to.
