A legend is in the making. Don’t miss Grey and Morgan’s continued story in the second installment of T. S. Joyce’s Becoming the Wolf series.
Morgan Crawford has everything made. A great man, thriving business, sweet niece, and a pack of growly new friends. Life is good but as a newly Turned werewolf, she has no idea what she’s in for as her new world discovers she is a one-of-a-kind Silver Wolf. Thrust into danger at every turn, she has to depend on the demon wolf himself, Grey, to protect her. But when she tries to go back to an old and familiar life, she figures out being Silver Wolf isn’t a blessing at all. It’s a terrible curse.
Greyson Crawford needs a lot to keep his monstrous wolf steady, and when the woman he has his heart on steps out of his protection range, he spirals bad. The other packs are beginning to find out what Morgan is, and with werewolves, any attention is bad attention. If he doesn’t learn to work with a local pack, he may lose everything he cares about. Too bad Wolf doesn’t play well with others.
T.S. Joyce is devoted to bringing hot shifter romances to readers. Hungry alpha males are her calling card, and the wilder the men, the more she'll make them pour their hearts out. She werebear swears there'll be no swooning heroines in her books. It takes tough-as-nails women to handle the shifters of Bear Valley.
She lives in a tiny town, outside of a tiny city, and devotes her life to writing big stories. Foodie, bear whisperer, ninja, thief of tiny bottles of awesome smelling hotel shampoo, nap connoisseur, movie fanatic, and zombie slayer, and most of this bio is true.
Bear Shifters? Check Smoldering Alpha Hotness? Double Check Sexy Scenes? Fasten up your girdles, ladies and gents, it's gonna to be a wild ride.
This one was pretty much a continuation of the first book. At the end of the last one it seemed like Grey and Morgan had their issues worked out, not so much. It took them all of the one to really get their shit together, frustrating! The one really good thing was Grey bonding with Marissa, loved the relationship they built, it was cute and very sibling like.
This is one of those books where a conversation would clear up 90% of the problems. I love Grey, even with his terrible control and inability to be normal, but Morgan was pretty annoying. Yes: she’s a werewolf. But she’s literally been shown everything by Grey that he loves her, and one awkward conversation with a wrong word choice and she gives up. The lore isn’t making much sense to me either. Silver wolves can breed quickly, and vampires are threatened by them with how quickly their numbers grow. But…. Werewolves can literally bite and turn as many humans as they want. There’s no restrictions on rules for that, so one could literally turn hundreds of wolves a day. It just seems arbitrary to make this Silver Wolf a threatened species. Especially as werewolves can breed with humans, or Morgan’s ancestry wouldn’t exist in the first place. But there’s great action in this one, and I like the pacing and drama of it all. It’s making me nostalgic for old school werewolf books, because it definitely has those vibes.
Are these books a little different to T.S.J‘s other books? Well yes they are, a little edgier, a little more serious, and a little longer, but they are still filled with the same magic and I’m desperate to get into the next one. I love how HEA wasn’t a sure thing, I love how they both had to wrestle with themselves and their wolves and as always I love how this book just drags you through the emotional bush and slaps you down on the other side, „there, you done“.
Hold Steady is the next book in the Becoming the Wolf series and continues our story of Greyson and Morgan😍 Unfortunately, not all is well in our couple’s lives - Morgan has just discovered she is a uniquely coveted wolf and is still adjusting to the changes of her becoming a wolf😢Greyson makes sure to still protect Morgan from afar after enquiries are made from other Packs into her true nature 🐺
Morgan and Grey are happy in love and ready to take the next step until Alexis does something horrible that changes everything. Can grey and Morgan get back to being happy? Or will Grey loose his chance with her. Great read.
This poor couple have to fight for their lives, before they can consider being together. She's taken and he's brutal in his rage. This is not a sweet shifter story, it's deliciously gory, angsty as they fight for their HEA. I loved it so much.
Hold Steady is the second book in the Becoming the Wolf series, and the next installment in Morgan's and Greyson's story. You need to read book one before you start or you will be lost and not know what's happening.
We pick up right where book one ended. While I still liked Grey in this book, I struggled liking Morgan and was frustrated by her decisions. She caused some unnecessary drama which seemed to drag and drag. Morgan and Grey both should have taken the time to have a conversation and be there for each other more, especially Morgan. Something major happened and everyone should have been talking about what to expect and how to be prepared.
It ended in a good place, but the story isn't over yet and will be continued in the next book. What’s the hold up on the claiming?
I can’t believe what a riot these characters are becoming! I should have know since the author is AMAZINGLY TALENTED and able to grab you and draw you into every single book I’ve ever read of hers or in my case reread every series of books way too many times and still giggle, LOL, & cry at the same parts plus I always catch something I missed! I love her strong female characters and how tragic things happen in every day life but when you open one of her books, you can’t stop until you are at the back cover and looking lost because you want more! Take the takeout menus out of the drawers and tell the family you’re on break till the series is finished! Then go back and reread them again! Plus then you should probably start at the very beginning in the very first series! You’ll never regret it!
Morgan Carter has had more than enough changes in the last year, she’s not even over the shock of becoming a werewolf and now she’s told she’s a rare breeder and her boyfriend Greyson Crawford’s marriage proposal stank of responsibility not love. Leaving Grey, Morgan quickly finds she can’t just step into her old life, she misses him too much and she’s not as in control as she thought.
Grey knew the words were wrong while they hung in the air, he just couldn’t stop Wolf from taking over. But he did love and want Morgan plus things were in place for him to set up for his own pack and they needed to be taken care of. Grey also knows he can’t stay in Wade’s pack, he’d have to start his very own brand new pack as word about Morgan gets out and clever wolves come to claim her. Rating: 4.5stars
I'm so use to her writing about different people very rarely have I ever read a series on the same people I really don't care for those stories but I still enjoyed this book I wish she would have decided to tell us Marissa story or one of the guys hopefully we will get to read them one day but according to the last pages the next book will be about Greyson and Morgan again. Now again I love all her books but man in this one Morgan really irritated me as my momma always said "Hard head makes for a soft bottom" she was so stubborn and pushed grey away that she ended up getting taken anyways ....well I'm guessing the next book will be about them getting hitched and I'm also guessing a surprise pregnancy will appear we shall see
Wow! The secret gets out. Morgan is clueless and so stubborn. Wanted by everyone and avoiding the only one who can protect her. Wolf takes over at the wrong time and says all the wrong things and leaves Grey without the only woman for him. Marissa breaks out of her cocoon and starts helping Grey and trusting him. I liked the relationship they developed in this book. Grey proved just how much of a monster Wolf really is. Grey builds a pack house and family home. Morgan finally comes to get senses and gets Grey back. Lana sure loves Grey! Intense fight scenes.
When I start a series many times I find they get a bit boring, stale. Not so with this one. Each book has been fresh and exciting. I'm loving it to pieces. To be honest,I don't want to think about the ending. Some great action and characters. I'm a senior brought up with Dracula, the Mummy, Wildman and love reading shifter stories, if you're like me once you start you won't want to stop until your finished and be sad because it's done. There is sexual content, violence, some growls and even romance. They should make this into a movie.
Megan and Crey's journey continued from where we'd left them in BEHIND THE BEGINNING.
Morgan Crawford was turned against her will by a jealous she-wolf who wanted Crey for herself even though he'd always rejected her. By doing what she did, Crey, Dean (Alpha of the Dallas pack) and Wade learned some interesting things about Morgan's ancestors. She was a descendant from the first family of Silver Wolves, the Dubois. Most of them were murdered by humans and Vampires. So it was imperative that no one besides Crey and the Dallas pack find out about her.
Well that didn't stay a secret long, needing back some normalcy back into her life, Morgan decided to decided to leave Crey. As Crey, Morgan and Lana tried to adjust to their new life without each other, other packs found out about who and what she was and came looking for answers. Marissa (Dean's adoptive daughter) was there for the mates while they dealt with the distance that was ripping them apart.
Both Morgan and Crey kept each other grounded, loved how they found their way back to one another. They learned to compromise, communicate and trust each other completely.
HOLD STEADY is the second book in T. S. Joyce's BECOMING THE WOLF series. It was heart-wrenching, engrossing and ob so irresistible. Magnificent job by T. S. Joyce. Two thumbs up and a recommendation for you guys to grab yourselves a copy!
I love this new series. Grey and Morgan's story continues. She's coming to grips with becoming a werewolf. Grey proposes and is ecstatic she accepted until she gets it into her head he only feels duty bound to protect her. She pulls away and the hardest thing he does is give her time. When she's kidnapped by another pack he risks his life to get her back. That's when she finally understands how much he does love her. Couldn't stop reading until I finished it.
Hold Steady: Becoming The Wolf Book 2 By T. S. Joyce Kindle unlimited purchase In book one (Behind the Beginning) we are introduced to Morgan and Greyson, in this book their story continues. In book one both Morgan and Greyson were changed into werewolves. In this book we get to see more of their story. I have fallen in love with all the characters in these books and look forward to reading more about them. Behind the Beginning Hold Steady Protect Mine It Begins with Her
Grey and Morgan 's story continues in book 2 of this series. Morgan has turned into the rare and legendary Silver Wolf and she doesn't realize how dangerous it is to be without protection. She has pushed Grey away thinking he is only with her out of obligation and not love and that's when their world gets turned upside down. This book is an awesome read by one of my favorite authors...on to book 3!
This starts out exactly where the previous one left off. The happiness of Morgan and Grey getting engaged. Then a pack member speaks up and everything changes. It’s a continuing story of the love, loss and pain that Grey and Morgan go through. There is a bit of action in this one as we discover more about the Silver Wolf. This is as enjoyable as the first one. I look forward to the next one.
The conflict between Grey and Morgan was quite drawn out. The only good thing with that was it gave Melissa a chance to become the little sister she wanted to be. I really liked Melissa in this one. Grey and Morgan were eventually able to grow individually and as a couple. It's not easy being the Silver Wolf.
This what is happening with these two that meant to be mates, it takes a lot of soul searching for both to see that they are better together than along. The. Pack also gives them a safe place to work it out. Don't want to spoil this great story for you.
Morgan and Grey are happy in love and ready to take the next step until Alexis does something horrible that changes everything. Can grey and Morgan get back to being happy? Or will Grey loose his chance with her. Great read.
I don’t think there’s a book she’s written that I didn’t like. I thought I had read them all, I have some digging to do now. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be re-released!
This is a great follow on in the life of Morgan and Grey. Morgan has been turned and it has it trials that she has to overcome. Throw in her wolf is badass and that adds even more complications. Excellent 2nd book. Now onto the 3rd.
This is the 2nd book in this series. It kept me on edge till the end. Can't wait to read the 3rd. Downloading next! T. S. Joyce is my favorite author and she rkcks! Always looking forward to her next book.
Love beyond words and allowing one's self to find their true home. Grey allowed Morgan to grow before all hell broke loose. But, in finding her after all that allowed her to understand herself better. My nerves are still wrecked from reading this book.
The continue love story of Grayson and Morgan. Grayson has ask Morgan to marry him but she does not think he love her and she run from him. Than she is kidnap and how Gray is looking for her. Can he find her? Great story.
This story just keeps getting better! This time we get to know more about our characters and their fight to be together. We also learn a little more about some of the other pack members!
Book 2 is wicked awesome.. The way the book is written you can feel what the characters are feeling.. Like you are there watching the scene play through.. Now off to book three
A disappointing installment from this author, who usually writes indulgent but well-written paranormal romance. This series just doesn't grab me in the same way as her other works and feels like it could have been condensed into a single title, not four.
This is the best series I've read in a long time. From start to finish Grey and Morgan are in an action packed story with a crazy alpha and his pack trying to claim Morgan. Between Grey's temper and Morgan's smart mouth things get really heated!
