I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Business of Love - everything you would want to be in a love story is there, love, misunderstandings, fantasy and just enough sexiness to make reading it exciting! The premise of the story is the god of love, Eros, must join two very mismatched people to ensure he keeps his job. This may take some major work due to the history of these two mortals and Eros uses every trick to try to get them to fall in love. The use of mythology and gods is interesting and ensures the reader leaves knowing a little bit more about the "personalities"; of the ancient gods.
We start with two unlikely people who have a long history in different lifetimes of ending up NOT together because Eros has lost his "mojo";. He must try everything, including enlisting the help of two other mythological gods to make the two mortals relationship sizzle! The prose is easy to read, funny and kept me interested all the way through the ending. Eros and his love, Psyche, also have a side story that makes the reader want Eros to win back his love and win back his job.
Again, I enjoyed reading The Business of Love and after misunderstandings, near misses and lots of HEAT our two unlikely lovers end up just the way you want them to be - together!
