Late for his annual performance review, Cupid finds himself up the River Styx without a paddle when his boss threatens to fire him. Luckily, he sweet talks his way into a second chance, but his last shot comes with an impossible deadline.
He’s got six months to turn mortal enemies into lovers or he loses his immortality—and his one true love's heart—forever.
No problem for the god of love, right? Well…
Liz Johnson thinks love at first sight is a bunch of crap. Then she meets her new coworker, Leo Simmons, and her theory totally hits the fan... and splatters everywhere.
Even worse, Leo thinks he’s God’s gift. When he turns on the charm because she won’t give him the time of day, she’ll be damned if her resolve crumbles to hell.
The kicker? Neither knows Cupid is posing as their new boss. Or that he’s using every matchmaking trick in the book to stop fate from taking his wings—and their lives.
Will Cupid hit his mark? Find out in this hilarious modern twist on the mythology you know and love.
Kerri has always told tall tales. When she was in the third grade, she hid her glasses in the linen closet and told her mother a ghost must have stolen them. As you might imagine, that story didn’t end well.
Today, however, she tells more lighthearted tales, with happier endings. Fond of making people laugh, and forever a fan of folklore and mythology, she blends heart and humor with a dash of magic into her stories.
Kerri lives in Michigan with her husband, son and cat they lovingly but aptly refer to as The Maleficence, Mel for short.
This book was such fun! I loved everything about it! Right from the beginning, the updated versions of Greek gods and goddesses were delightful! The storyline addressed all those fears many of us have faced before in our relationships. The doubts, the what-ifs, the fears, and then....THE LOVE! Love is always worth it! If you want to smile then this is a must read!
*Spoilers in review* I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Business of Love - everything you would want to be in a love story is there, love, misunderstandings, fantasy and just enough sexiness to make reading it exciting! The premise of the story is the god of love, Eros, must join two very mismatched people to ensure he keeps his job. This may take some major work due to the history of these two mortals and Eros uses every trick to try to get them to fall in love. The use of mythology and gods is interesting and ensures the reader leaves knowing a little bit more about the "personalities"; of the ancient gods.
We start with two unlikely people who have a long history in different lifetimes of ending up NOT together because Eros has lost his "mojo";. He must try everything, including enlisting the help of two other mythological gods to make the two mortals relationship sizzle! The prose is easy to read, funny and kept me interested all the way through the ending. Eros and his love, Psyche, also have a side story that makes the reader want Eros to win back his love and win back his job.
Again, I enjoyed reading The Business of Love and after misunderstandings, near misses and lots of HEAT our two unlikely lovers end up just the way you want them to be - together!

The concept of this book is rather unique and adds an air of urgency to the storyline. It keeps the reader on edge throughout the book as they wonder what the outcome will be.

Eros, the God of Love has been performing terribly due to his broken heart for far too long. Zeus and Hera give Eros the task of making Liz and Leo fall in love by Liz’s 25th birthday or else Eros gets demoted, becomes mortal, and loses his chance at winning Psyche back forever.
The problem is…Eros has been trying to get Liz and Leo together for many lifetimes. Both are guarded due to life experiences leaving Eros with an impossible task.
This book is freaking fantastic!
It has Gods/Goddesses, comedy, drama, and so much fun!
Liz’s personality is my favorite part about this book! She’s so funny and relatable!
If you like Rom Coms and Greek Gods with a twist, this is a MUST READ!
This is the first book I have read from this author and I am looking forward to reading more. It was a good interesting read that was really well written and held my interest all the way through. I liked both Liz and Leo though it took me a little to warm to him they were good and real characters. I really enjoyed it.
BUSINESS OF LOVE is an enjoyable rom com that combines a little magic with a lot of love! There are some hilariously ingenious play on words that had me laughing out loud. What I found unique was following not only Liz and Leo's love story, but Eros' own love and character arc.
Oh my gods, if you want a great love story, pick up BUSINESS OF LOVE!
After reading it, I went looking for other books by the author and could find none, so I am guessing this is her debut. Well, kudos to you Kerri, it's a fantastic one!
The writing style is casual, chatty and easy to read, and had me giggling quite a few times.
I love stories about star-crossed lovers, so this was a real win for me. Combine with that a unique take on mythology where the god of Love, Eros will lose his job if these two don't finally get together - well, I just really loved it. Lots of sweet, lots of heat and in all, a very entertaining storyline.
I am so excited to read this story another excellent storyline easy to follow and found it to build up steam and leaves you satisfied at the end of the story.
I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
“just him and her. fitting together like puzzle pieces.” can’t even being to explain how much i am in love with the four main characters. leo and liz’s story was so fun to read ESPECIALLY due to the fact that eros had been trying to shoot them with an arrow through several lifetimes, yeah best people. don’t even get me started on eros and psyche! i loved how kerri kept so much of what makes them unique yet added a modern touch to it. i just loved the book a lot!
This book is a fun and quick read. It deserves 5 stars for being exactly what it set out to be. A refreshing twist on Greek Gods, some light enemies to lovers, and an all around entertaining book!
I really liked the idea of fated partners as well as the mythology as it made it fun and fascinating, the fact it wasn't just about getting Liz and Leo together but also about Eros and Psyche as well. Liz is feisty and Leo a player however there is a spark with them but boy does Eros have his work cut out for him. There is plenty of laughs, frustrations and "Oh no" times to keep you hooked and I can not wait to see what book 2 brings us... Maybe about Hermes?!?!

Love is patient, love is kind . . . love is late for work. Again. Two unlikely people who were supposed to be match in all their lifetimes but it never happens until Eros is forced to do it or lose his immortality.

I absolutely loved this book! It was well-written, fun, and smart, with truly memorable characters. Not only did I become invested in Liz and Leo's feisty enemies-to-lovers romance, I became attached to Eros and Psyche as well. The fresh spin on Greek mythology made it extra-special and magical, and I look forward to reading more by Keberly!
This is a contemporary rom com with Greek gods and goddesses. What a surprisingly fun and refreshing take on a rom com. Cannot recommend enough of you need a break from your basic, every day, rom coms. This is also a must for green mythology lovers; Cupid, Psyche, Hermes, azure, Hera…shall I keep going?? Read it!!
Loved it! Funny, serious, dramatic and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. Business of Love is a rom-com with the perfect balance of Rom and Com. Lots of heart, plenty of laughs and characters you'll completely fall in love with.
This was a great story with Greek gods involved. Eros has to get a couple together while he also deals with his relationship with Psyche. Leo and Liz were both fun characters and had some interesting situations from interfering gods. Great secondary characters that were interesting and engaging. Leo and Liz both had issues that they had to overcome. Loved it!!
A fun, sweet romance with a little Greek mythology sprinkled in. The God of Love has gotten complacent and has not been putting as much heart into his work since his own relationship fell apart. Now he has to get two people to fall in love who both have some serious baggage. This was a charming book with lots of heart and attitude (mostly from the female lead). The characters were enjoyable and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and their barriera start to crumble. I would highly recommend it!
I’m such a sucker for enemies to lovers stories add in PNR and then throw in humor and I’m in my happy place. This book was so well Written and had me turning the pages faster then I could. I loved Liz and Leo’s story. I can’t wait to read more by Kerri!
OMG, love LOVE it! A mixture of magic and romance and comedy, The Business of Love hits all the marks for an amazing debut book. Can't wait to read more by Kerri Keberly!
Loved the romance with light fantasy twist. I'm not usually a Rom-Com reader but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be reading the rest of the series.
First let me say that I am unfortunately stingy when it comes to giving out stars. However, I would actually rate this book a 3.5/5!
The author did a great job with building the story and continued to build it as the book progressed. She took her time and did a good job building the characters, their flaws, showing their struggles and how they worked through their issues.
The banter between the main male and female was whitty, direct and just the right amount.
