Sandra and Bob are back again in the third book in the series. These are stand alone stories. While the characters do build across all three books, one could easily read them out of order.

Sandra is determined to once again solve a mystery with the help of Bob, her angle helper. Her husband finally meets Bob (that was certainly interesting!) and realizes that his wife makes a good private eye, even if he doesn't like it.

The mystery is set around the death of a young man who helps out the church softball team one afternoon. Shortly after he is found dead, bludgeoned to death by a bat. Sandra sets out to bring the murderer to justice, with a little help once again from Bob.

Short and cozy mystery. Very enjoyable.

It's a small town. There couldn't be another murder or could there? Yes, there could. Sandra will try hard not to get involved. If you read the first two books, you know that's about impossible for her. I feel sorry for this victim. This is a clean, interesting murder mystery. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Suspense and murder in small town USA.

Smoke and mirrors

Tremendous. Back to the books I love. Wonderful characters and her husband's first meeting with Bob is a classic as is the scene with the snake. Vibrant, lively and melding into the plot to give it fire, warmth and humour whilst dealing with the death of a young man.
It all started at the game when they needed a pitch runner and ended up with his dead body in the woods. Who killed him? Why was he in this small town? She vows not to investigate but when nothing appears to be done in apprehending the killer she and Bob decide to poke around a little. Missing security tapes, a bat with blood on it, new team members for the team, vicious glances and the arrest of the man she thinks has been framed. Can they smoke out the real killer? What will her husband think of her angel?

Third in series was a hit out of the park!

Such a fun series! This time Sandra decides not to stick her nose into the latest murder. Fat chance!! Hubby gets to meet Bob for the first time. And the snake is classic! Yeah, I'm not a fan either! Can Sandra and Bob get the innocent man out of jail and the right one in? Great addition to the series!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
