Superficially this is another name-it-and-claim-it fantasy. A closer reading reveals that it expounds the traditional Christian virtues of faith, death to self, and obedience. But why dress it up in all the visionary, apocalyptic language? Why all the self-referential hyperbola?

Seeking of words: Bolz twice uses parabolic when he means parable-like. If gives his sentences different and unintentionally humorous meanings.

Christians have been disgracing themselves and the Lord they claim to serve by being so focused on the Last Days that they fail to seek and serve him in their here and now.

Disappointing. Highly recommended to me by a respected Christian, but probably not worth your time.

A must read if you’re ready for the next level

I would recommend this book to all believers who are hungry for more of God and to fulfill the mission of heaven on the earth. This book I read in one sitting I couldn’t put it down, it has taught me a lot and I’m excited to pray and implement.

Really interesting book, unexpected and encouraging

I downloaded this book when it came up in conversation 3 times in 2 days, from different people. It is really interesting, and not really what I expected from the title. There are parts that feel like a rollercoaster ride of vision, and the creative expression of God. There are parts that are slower, thoughtful and logical. I can't remember many other books that combine such detailed prophetic revelation and also thoughtful more theological points about finance, prosperity, and mission. I would encourage you to read it especially if you don't want to, to see how God challenges you through these pages. It challenged me.

Great book. Super challenging on the way I think about things. Based much on heavenly visions. Obviously we have to trust they are true. Amazing hearing ways of God working through money, businesses and industries. Challenged to pray more for what I need in certain situations as it may be ready from God but I haven't asked. Challenged on the way I think about the workplace. Why not bring the 5 fold ministry to the workplace and focus on making that a place of worship, not just a church building.

Read this book and realized I would need to re-read it to allow so much revelation to actually sink in. I loved it. It had me looking at finances and resources so differently - with clearer perspective. I also really appreciated the chapters that championed those outside of ministry and the ONE-NESS of the five-fold ministry within the church walls AND OUTSIDE IT.

Faith building: the mere thought that someone would have a visitation like he described is faith building. My main takeaway points were give to the poor to unlock heaven's favor on you, and believe that there is already an abundance of provision for your every need stored somewhere in heaven.

Really Encouraging Book

I love what Sean Bolz carries and what he has to say. This book is extremely encouraging and really draws those who read it to a deeper faith and dependency on our God who really holds the whole world. It’s also quite encouraging to hear how the author honours those in kingdom - minded business outside of “Church ministry.”

Great book with key concepts for every Christian. I'm familiar with Shawn's ministry prior to reading this book, and I believe the fruit of his ministry speaks for itself. I believe the account that he shares in this book. It will transform the way you think about funding the advancing Kingdom.

My only complaint is that the last third of the book breaks into a loose set of commentaries on various wealth theologies in the church. It's not off-base, but it deviates somewhat from the method and mission of the first 2/3rds of the book.

Wow, this book is super cool. The biggest takeaway I got was that God has provisions set aside for us today. He knows what we need and when we need it and He has set these things aside for us since the foundation of the Earth. Definitely worth the read!

This book has renewed my excitement about finances in God's kingdom. This should be required reading in all churches. I recommended this book to two people before I finished it! But it. Read and practice what I it says. I'm convinced you will be glad you did!
