All Barbie ever wanted was to own a store filled with romance books. After an unexpected windfall, she's finally got her own place, but some people in town have been less than welcoming. That's until one dark and stormy night a man that might as well have come straight out of the pages of her dirty books comes to her rescue.
Shaw has relocated from his business in the city to Magnolia Springs to help his mom. He runs her errands and helps her with anything else she needs, but he's less than thrilled about picking up her list of romance books. When he walks into the store, he's blindsided by a damsel in distress and is ready to take charge.

Magnolia Ridge seems to be a nice town with inhabitants that knows each other.Barbara "Barbie" owns a bookstore that sells steamy romance novels and are darn proud of it.She wants to meet a hero of her own and knows that the big protective client Shaw is the one when she sees him.
By the way,i never thought "Bridge to Terabitia" would ever be mentioned in a erotic novella.
Its been a minute since i read a new Alexa Riley book and i gotta say i do miss them lol. This was little steam very fun and good book.
New in town and owning a bookstore is hard in a small town.. whats harder is having said bookstore with only Romance Gene books.. yup my type of bookstore, thats what Barbie owns and lets say some people don't like her store welp One doesnt like her store and tries to shut her down. But with the help of Kayla helping her keep her bussiness afloat. And in walks in Shaw he is dreamy and helps Barbie when a unwanted guest doesnt take a hint. Love at first site is between them and lord Shaw was just a yummy man. Buying romance books for his mother now he is sprung over Barbie and he makes it his mission to make her happy and safe. When someone tries to ruin his womans store.
“Take me now,” she says softly, and hunger hits me hot and low in my cock. “Right here?” I ask, my voice rough and deep. She clears her throat and steps away as she shakes her head. “That’s the next book on the list. Take Me Now. It’s over in erotica.” hahaha omgggg i laughed so hard.
I wanna read Gi Joe lol cuz Kayla was a funny secondary character and i love how she always had Barbies back and her hiding from Joe was good.
No ow/om drama (unless you count those ppls who wanna cause drama) no cheating, Drama, scondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

I will always get excited to read a new Alexa Riley book! We have a insta-love romance with a romance bookstore owner and a super sweet but alpha hero. This was so good and there was even some suspense thrown in. I devoured this and couldn't get enough of Barbie and Shaw's story.
"Bookstore Barbie" is the story of Barbie and Shaw.
A super adorable read with a bookstore owner innocent heroine, and her very smitten customer hero. I think my favorite part has to be that she owns an all romance bookshop, which is my dream to have someday! I also enjoyed her close friendship with her best friend, and the epilogue.
This one was surprisingly pleasant to read! Barbara and Shaw's story was cute, steamy and a little bit kinky. Shaw still has some traits of the main characters in the previous books I've read by Alexa Riley but they are toned down, so it was easier to read. Babies are still part of the picture, I didn't expect anything less.
Oh, how I loved reading Shaw and Barbie's insta-everything story in the Magnolia Ridge series! Shaw wasn't kidding when it came to all things Barbie.... oh and helping his mom too! Yep, Shaw stepped in to save Barbie, the damsel in distress (romance bookstore owner) and showed his 'alphaness' in many ways which was exactly what Barbie fantasized about and needed in a man!
Looking forward in reading clumsy Kayla's story next...
A short, fast story with steamy scenes and romance. Barbie own a romance bookstore in small town. Her only friend is Kayla. The town's gossip about her bookstore is negative but she has a very few devoted customers. Shaw came back from the big city to take care his mother who is in the hospital. Cara, the mother, asks for a favor and gives him a list of romance/steamy books to buy for her .....he visits the local bookstore.
4.5 stars rounded up to 5. I really enjoyed this story. It had a good mix of sweet right along with dirty. You never know what you’re going to get with an Alexa Riley story but I really enjoyed this one.
It was a perfect meet cute and romance. She owns a romance bookstore (my dream) , he walks in to buy some books for his mum and... Saves her from an obtrusive guy. Then naturally love happens. And they lived happily ever after. Almost. There is some drama on the way 😂
Shaw takes some of the fries off his own plate and puts them onto mine. This deserves to be documented so I'm going to document this here. It's the best part of the whole entire book. Everything I find cute in the world on one side, and the sheer beauty of giving me your fries on the other. If someone did that to me I'd bend over backwards and fall in love.
Alexa Riley has done it again! I loved Bookstore Barbie so much I couldn’t put it down. It’s hands down one of my favorite from Alexa it was short and sweet. I loved Barbara and Shaw and I loved their story. Can't wait to see what Kayla gets up to with Joe next.
Barbie is living the dream with owning an all romance bookstore when she meets her own real life hero. Shaw is the ultimate possessive book boyfriend that saves the day.
Gracias Alexa 😍
The heroine (Barbie) was sweet, but could definitely hold her own. I loved that she was an entrepreneur and progressive. She was an independent woman in need of no man.
The hero (Shaw) was loving, but a total alpha. I loved that he looked out for his mother! Adorable!:) I didn’t like his name much for some reason, but that is just me.
Lots of insta-love and a tad bit of breeding!
I have very high standards for Alexa Riley so I can’t give this book five stars, but I would recommend!
I stopped reading at about 50%. I'm not going to rate this because it wouldn't be fair, considering I didn't finish it. It's rare that I don't finish a book but this one was really bad. I struggled with the lack of plot, the character development and the insta love.
3 stars. Cute but a bit on the boring side. Both Barbie and Shaw were kinda dull and while I liked how everything wrapped up, their romance didn’t do it for me. I did like the fact that Barbie owned a romance book store and I liked her best friend, Kayla. I’m excited to read her story. There were plenty of interesting and fun elements here but they never really came together unfortunately.

A quick short read by Alexa Riley. I am never disappointed with their work and always always enjoy reading their style of writing. Will definitely read the next part.
