**The Mallory Family series was formally the Darling Cove series. All books are exactly the same. If you're in the middle of the series, you've not missed anything!**
The Mallory Family Series features a recurring cast of Mallory family members and friends, but each book can be read as a stand-alone. No cheating. No cliffhangers.
Must be Crazy by Deborah Garland is part of her Darling Cove series. What a sweet sexy romantic read. This was a very enjoyable romance with a lot of humor, love and great characters.Skye has just started her new job at a law firm when her ex boyfriend Miles shows up wanting her to represent him against the contractor who built his house but messed up his bathroom and he won’t fix it. Skye doesn’t want anything to do with miles after the way he left her, but she needs the money so she says yes.Edward is a very handsome likeable guy; he’s also town’s fire chief and a single father trying to raise his son Julian and he doesn’t have much time for romance. Lately he’s been thinking about Skye a lot after having met her over a year ago and has wanted on many occasions to ask he out on a date ,but she’s always surrounded by her family.
But when Skye accidentally starts a fire at her house it’s Edward to the rescue. He saves Skye and gets his first date with her! There is a lot of great chemistry between Edward and Skye; they are spending more time together and the passion is steamy and hot too.
But when Skye finds out that Edward is the contractor that did Miles house it all blows up in their faces and if this isn’t bad enough Julian’s mother is back and she wants her son back and she’s not leaving without him. With so many things going on you have to wonder if Skye and Edward can get though it and still find happiness and oh yea there is a secret that Skye has been keeping from her family and she must now decide to not only tell the family, but the man she has fallen in love with too. Will Edward still want her or leave like Miles?
Honestly this was so slow I was so glad for it to be over. There was alot going on… but a lot of nothing?
It started off okay, and the blurb sounded really good. But the book isn’t really like the blurb, the storyline prioritized and focused on things it shouldn’t have. There were better opportunities to take with this story.
I also really disliked when the ex shows back up after abandoning his kid and he’s like “ya just stay here for the night and take care of him. I’m going to my gfs” She had just said she spoke to a lawyer and was taking the kid to Texas??? But sure let’s leave him alone with the woman who’s proven she cares so little she’ll abandon him.
“At times she felt like the pesky last candle on a birthday cake that wouldn’t light because she didn’t have a man in her life.”
Must Be Crazy is the incredible third instalment in the Darling Cove Series by Deborah Garland. This story is every bit as wonderful as the previous two books, and surprisingly is now my favourite of the series, so far! Why do I say surprisingly? Well, because we have met these two characters in the previous books, and while I was curious about them, I wasn’t sure I would love Skye, or be able to fully connect with her, or the story. I knew Edward would be a shoo-in, but if I hated Skye, then that would make this reading experience quite difficult. But, I needn’t have worried, and should have trusted Ms. Garland, as she’s never let me down before. Not only did she (and Skye) win me over- Edward and Skye have now became my favourite couple of the series! Yeah, I was surprised, that’s for sure!! But in a really great, “OMG! I love this book and you have to read it” kind of way! The story is a touching contemporary romance with a second chances element that really tugged on my heart-strings. It’s romantic, sweet, tender, emotional, heartbreaking, and incredibly steamy story: with wonderful family dynamics (the Mallory’s and the Morgan’s), loyalty, longing, passion, drama, camaraderie, and love. There are all the brilliant characters we’ve grown to love from the previous books, as well as one who I grew to hate with a passion. That’s one of the things that Ms. Garland does so well- she is able to get her reader to completely invest in her characters and their story, whilst also imbuing the story with so much emotion, which had me smiling, laughing, and sobbing all within the same chapter/s. I think I spent much of the final third of the book sobbing my heart out , struggling to read the story through all of my tears, reading as fast as my eyes would allow just so I could see what happens next. Skye Mallory is Gwen (Book #1) and Greg’s (Book #2) sister. She’s an attorney who has her own office on main street and lives in the apartment above her office. She’s worked hard to get to where she is and is quite good at her job. But, now that both her siblings have found love, she knows that there is an expectation for her to do the same. Problem is, she’s still stinging from a bad, and quite embarrassing breakup, and isn’t interested in getting hurt again. Plus, there’s the matter of her long-held and devastating secret that she fears to expose. But when her office and apartment catch fire, She’s saved by the very hunky volunteer fire chief. The sparks fly between them and she can’t help wondering if things would be different with him. Edward Mendelsohn is an architect, volunteer firefighter, single father, and all-round good guy. He hasn’t had a relationship since Julian’s mother walked out on them. Edward’s had his eye on Skye for quite some time, but things hadn’t gone his way when it came to asking her out. He also has Julian, his 7year-old son to consider- he’s Edwards number one priority. When he saves Skye from the fire, things quickly heat up between them and he start to imagine sharing his future with this gorgeous woman. But a strange turn of events sees them in a legal conflict of interest, which brings their budding romance to a screeching halt. Then to make matters worse, the past comes back with devastating consequences for Edward. Can these two work out these various roadblocks and get their romance back on track? Or have they detoured too far off their path to ever find their way back? What happens when her ‘secret’ is revealed? What does the future hold for these two? Well, Ms. Garland certainly put these two through the wringer and made them work hard for every ounce of happiness. There was one crisis after another that had me anxiously sitting on the edge of my seat and quite emotionally invested as I followed along. But I just ADORED how Ms. Garland brought everything together in the end!! I was a grinning, teary eyed idiot. This story/series really deserves to be read and should be on everyone’s TBR list! I am excited to see what “A Must For Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella” has in store for us and have already pre-ordered it!
MUST BE CRAZY (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland is the third contemporary romance book in the Darling Cove series. The last single Mallory is about to be saved by her perfect match, the hot single dad volunteer fire chief/architect of Darling Cove. This book can be read as a standalone, but the family is very close and there are crossover references to the first two romance books.
Skye Mallory loves her family above all else, but she has also felt the need to excel to be noticed as the middle child. As an attorney, she always works hard to win no matter how big or small the case. When a fire destroys her office and apartment, she is saved by the Darling Cove fire chief.
Edward Mendelson has noticed Skye around Darling Cove. He has little time for dating though while working as an architect, volunteering for the fire department and raising his son, Julian alone. When called to a fire, he rescues Skye and realizes that he wants more than her appreciation.
Skye and Edward quickly realize that their desire is mutual, but both of their pasts are about to interfere. Skye accepts a case involving her ex-boyfriend to help pay to rebuild her business and too late finds out Edward is the person he is suing. If that does not split them apart, Julian’s mother reappears and wants custody and to move him to another state. Also, Skye has a secret she has been keeping that may change the way Edward feels about a future with her.
There are a lot of realistic ups-and-downs in this romance. Skye and Edward both have pasts that interfere with their present. Ms. Garland had me emotionally involved with all of the characters in this story. I felt for Skye deeply as she dealt with her secret while being surrounded by pregnant family. I also loved how much Edward worked to be a great single dad. I did have a problem with how easily at one point Edward was willing to let Julian go with his birth mother, even though it worked out in the end. Edward and Skye’s sex scenes were explicit and hot, but not gratuitous. This was a romance that kept me turning the pages and left me very satisfied by HEA.

I really loved catching up with Mallory family and reading Skye’s story. This is the third Darling Cove novel, it was a really enjoyable read. The characters are well written and I felt like I was meeting up with old friends, seeing how their lives were getting on.
Skye has had a pretty rough time over the years and things aren’t getting any easier. She is a very determined woman who knows how important family is, especially to her. She wants love, she wants a family of her own and when she met Edward she wants that with him, but she’s scared her secret will ruin her chances. I really like Skye as a person, I love how she keeps going and is always looking out for the family. Then there is Edward, single Dad, Fire Chief, Architect and just gorgeous! I loved how his character was written, protective, determined, always so loving towards his son and Skye. Of course, there are the rest of the family in this one too and it was great seeing how their lives were evolving.
These are really easy stories to read, there are ups and downs, as there always are in real life, there is certainly a lot happening in Skye and Edward’s lives to cause them problems, I liked seeing how they overcame them to try and find their future together. This is definitely one to one click.
This the third book in the Darling Cove Series. I think it's important to read the first two books of the series as there are references made that would be helpful to have knowledge of the characters and events mentioned.
Darling Cove is a small community which still has fairs with pig races and cotton candy and all the other things that makes small towns so much fun.
He is the Fire Chief and she is a lawyer. Together they make sparks. Throw in an adorable son and cute dog and you've got a situation that will cause ovaries weep.
This is a story that has multiple story lines (and lots of babies) all working at the same time (much like life). While I absolutely understand the direction the story was going in there were times that it was just "too much". As a woman who has a "son of my heart" instead of a biological son I 100% understood and related to Skye and Jules relationship.
This is a quick read as were the other books in the series.
This is my first Deborah Garland book, so I have not read the previous 2 books in the Darling Cove series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of Must Be Crazy.
Skye Mallory hasn't had the best of luck lately. Douchey ex boyfriends being the least of them.
Edward Mendelsohn - well, isn't he all kinds of swoonworthy. I mean really, what a guy!
Just when both think their life has take a turn for the better, their pasts come back to play.
Oy, what a piece of work Skye's ex is. I just wanted to hit him in the head with my Kindle everytime he turned up on the page. And then he does stuff and I am like "seriously Skye and Edward, you aren't going to do anything about that?". It was like it was just all forgotten - but not by me! I wanted to see him get his comeuppence!
But this could just be me.
I enjoyed watching our lovelies fall. There were so many obstacles to overcome, however by acting like adults, the did this without any stupid miscommunications and the like.
I adored Skye's family, and couldn't get enough of a couple of them in particular (I don't want to spoil who, but they will steal your heart).
I enjoyed this story, and will be going back to read the earlier books in this series.
Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland was a sweet, light hearted, frustrating, whirlwind romance, that like the other books in the series, had me hooked from start to finish.
Not my first read by this author, or this series. They are all standalones with recurring characters, there aren't many spoilers, but I do suggest reading this series in order, just because the timeline is chronological.
This time we are following Sky and her crazy adventure through love, misunderstandings, stupid ex's, and what it means to truly trust someone. I have to say, this book out of all three, was for me, the best. I liked Sky from the other books, strong independent and bluntly awesome. She speaks her mind and doesn't have a lot of time for BS. She gets stuck between a rock and a hard place when her idiot of a ex shows up with a case, and offering a chunk of money, that because of events in past books, she couldn't pass up. As much as I wanted to slap her, I can see were she was coming from, but, hell, the girl should have asked for help before it got to that, no return point.
Edward, I need me one of those. Charming, hot, heart of gold, a little bit stupid, single father, and volunteer firefighter. The guy is as close to perfection as you can get, but, as much of a fighter and alpha he is, dude learned a hard lesson about cutting corners, and, not divulging some important info, that could have solved a portion of his and sky problems, before they arose. I will say that, he didn't walk away, he knew what he wanted and was going to do everything to make it work. There was no quitting, with every problem, misunderstanding, misstep, he fought, and did his best to turn it around. It was such a different approach, and was a fresh of breath air.
Overall this story, this series is a must read. Outside of the amazing well build characters, solid plot and multi POV. The writing was so well constructed that when the POV switch it was like you were reading two different stories that so happen to be taking place at the same time. When those stories collided, it was like magic and, man, I was hooked like you wouldn't believe. I do hope there is more to this series, as their stories are still fresh, new. I believe there is still so much more that can be build and explored upon.
So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get lossed in this wicket love story, that will not only get those feels kick started, but have you hiding a blushing from all the hot steaming smut scenes.
Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in her series, Darling Cove, and honestly, I think this is the best one yet. This story had me hooked from the beginning, much like the rest of the series, but I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. Getting drawn in from the first page, I didn’t want to put this one down until I finished. Following the stories of Skye Mallory and Edward Mendelsohn, I loved the chemistry between these two. Skye is a working woman who isn’t worried about finding someone for herself. But when her siblings tell her they found the perfect man for her, her doubts are obviously high, until she sets her eyes on Edward. While there is something about Edward that draws her to him, there is also a secret she is keeping from her loved ones that could ruin this relationship. What is this secret, and could it really be the end of everything for Skye if she were to tell those closest to her? Edward is the fire chief in town and is immediately drawn to Skye when he sets his eyes on her. While he wanted to ask her out before, getting set up on a date with her by siblings just made his job that much easier. When tragedy strikes Skye and her business and apartment go up in flames, Edward comes to the rescue, and Skye can’t seem to stay away from him. When situations arise that threaten to tear these two love birds apart it is going to take allot of trust and love to get them through this together. Can Skye trust Edward to keep her secret, or even trust him with her heart? Can Edward step up and be the man that Skye needs most in her world? The attraction and chemistry between these two will steam over your glasses and cause your e-reader to short circuit, but it is totally worth it in the end. Having read several of Garland’s books in the past, including the first two stories in this series, and I have to say this is by far my favorite of them all. If you are looking for a great read that will take you away from the cold winter weather than I suggest you pick up this series and tuck away for some much need hot reading that is guaranteed to keep you warm all through the night.
Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) By: Deborah Garland 5 out of 5 stars
The story Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading just as much as the first two. I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put the book down until I was finished with the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Skye Mallory and Edward Mendelsohn. Skye is a woman whose siblings have found their perfect match. Although still stinging from her last break up Skye does wonder what it would be like to have what the others in her family have, a deep love between two people. Skye is also a woman who is keeping a secret from her family. What is that secret and what will happen when or if it is revealed? Edward is the fire chief in town and is interested and intrigued by Skye. He has been waiting for the right moment to ask her out. Be it that when her apartment and business goes up in flames may not be the best time, however, these two soon find themselves going out together. Then a situation arises that threatens to tear these two apart just as quickly as they got together. Both Skye and Edward have an attraction and chemistry that is undeniable. Will they fight for their relationship or will things become too overwhelming for this couple? Will they get a chance for an HEA? Read this book to find out. I found myself falling in love with the characters of Skye and Edward with each chapter that I read. I also loved that some of the other characters that appear are brought forward from the previous books. You find out what has been going on in their lives since last you read about them. This is a wonderfully written book with an amazing plot and characters. I would highly recommend reading it.
Must Be Crazy is the third book in the Darling Cove series from Deborah Garland. I personally would recommend that you read the first two books before you read this one, they do go in a pretty decent order and the characters are involved in each book somewhat. This one focuses on Skye Mallory. Her connection is that she is Gwen and Greg’s sister who have books one and two which would be the benefit to reading them.
Skye is single yet successful. As an attorney she rocks it and runs her very own office. Unfortunately when it comes to love she has not had the best of luck, especially with her last relationship that ended in a brutal way. However, both of her siblings have found the loves of their lives and she knows it is a matter of time before those around her start nagging her to find her own happily ever after. She is doubtful that she will ever change her mind though, especially with the secret she is harboring. All that is about to be put into question when her office and apartment catch fire and a hunky fireman extinguishes the fire, and lights the spark insider her again.
Edward Mendelsohn is that firefighter. He has his own demons and secrets he will need to get around but the beautiful Skye is something he wants to try to get over all that for. He is that single father of an adorable seven year old kiddo, Julian, and still recovering from a tough spilt from his mother. Just when he thinks he is finally at a point where he can move on with Skye and these two hit it off the past comes back to meddle in their newfound romance. Then there is a matter of secrets that come out to play. What will happen to the new love? Is it going to be extinguished before it ever gets a chance to become a full-fledged fire?
To say that Skye Mallory has had a string of bad luck lately is a complete understatement, first she goes through a health battle that reeks havoc on her life. Then an ex starts pestering her and she's having trouble shaking him, and if that isn't bad enough, then she unintentionally sets fire to her apartment and business. But when she meets the man that saves her, and she begins to think things might just be looking up... or are they?
From the moment his eyes first landed on her, Edward Mendelsohn fell hard for Skye Mallory, but unfortunately for him their meeting didn't seem to be as memorable for her, it's as if he doesn't exist in her eyes. That is until tragedy strikes her life, and he comes to her rescue, now he has her full attention... but unfortunately there seems to be a little hurdle in their way. It's one that may just keep them apart, before they have a chance to get together...
Must Be Crazy was impressive on all fronts, the story line was enthralling, I had no problem falling right into this one and soaking up every little detail. The characters had great chemistry and played off one another nicely, I thoroughly enjoyed watching them fight the sparks, and maneuver through their tricky predicament. Ms. Garland has created quite the literary treat for readers with this one, I highly recommend you add this series to your reading list, it is sure to leave your heart happy!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Must Be Crazy is the 3rd instalment of the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland, following on from Must Love Fashion and Must Have Faith. Each book can be read as a standalone or as a series. If read as a series then you’ll need to read them in order to prevent spoilers. I had read and loved the first two books and this one was just as fantastic, if not more. By the end of Must Have Faith readers were crying out for Skye and Edward to have their own story and thankfully Deborah Garland fulfilled this need. Skye Mallory is a successful lawyer with her own practice in Darling Cove. She’s always had her eye on handsome volunteer fire chief and architect Edward Mendelsohn. Meanwhile Edward has been fantasizing about Skye for a long time. When a fire at Skye’s home brings them together the sparks fly and they admit their feelings to one another. They are both smitten and are ready to embark on a serious relationship when they are torn apart by the fact that Skye’s biggest client is suing Edward, which is a major conflict of interests, resulting in Skye ending their budding relationship. Is there a way that Skye and Edward can still be together without affecting her career? Will Skye put Edward before her career? Will they get the chance to get their HEA or are there just too many obstacles in the way? These and so many other questions are answered in this fantastic book which will keep you gripped to the very last page. I loved this book so much that I really need to go back and read the first 2 again.
Deborah Garland has done it again with “Must Be Crazy” the third installment in the Darling Cove series. Make sure you read the previous books before reading this one because they are all amazing and need to be read! This story is about Skye, the oldest Mallory daughter and middle child to Greg and Gwen. Skye has always been kind of a loner, even in her family. She loves them all, but loves her alone time and has secrets to protect. Her whole world comes apart and suddenly, there is Edward the local fire chief. Edward is fiercely protective of his seven year old son, Julian, since Julian’s mother left them three years ago. Between being a fire chief, single dad and an architect, Edward hasn’t had time for a love life. Events throw these two together and boy do they stick! If you have been reading the whole series like I’ve told you to, then you know Edward and Skye were a long time coming! I was so excited to finally read Skye’s story! I love how close the Mallory family has become over the past three books and how we get to keep learning new information about all of the couples. No one book is just about the main couple, everyone is involved and sharing in endless amounts of love! Love, love, LOVE these books and can’t wait to read “A Must for Christmas!” So, I obviously give “Must Be Crazy” five stars! It’s probably my favorite book in the series! Thank you, Deborah Garland!
Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland
5 Stars
I love this series, everything about it, the people, the town, the family, the friends, the writing and the way everything just flows. It is completely awesome!!
Now with all that said I can concentrate on just this book...I'm not sure how to put into words what I loved most about this story. The storyline for me was completely unexpected..It did not go the way I thought it would. Miss Garland never gave in on the good guy maybe being in the wrong, and Skye being put right in the middle of everything and standing by what was right even when her heart was telling her not to. That's still not explaining it the way it should be explained so you will have to read the book to understand.
I wasn't crazy about Skye in earlier books but I always had a feeling there was more to her and I was right. Her story was so sad and her not wanting to burden her family with it about broke my heart. There were scenes in this book that I felt deep, some made me cry and others just took my breath away. I think I felt every emotion that was written or implied in this story and then some that weren't so I was a mess throughout most of it.
I can't recommend this story enough, but do not just read this book, truly and honestly to get the full effect of this family and these people you have to read them all in order.
Loved loved loved it and can not wait to read the next which is already open on my kindle.
Must be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third instalment in the Darling Cove series and follows the story of Skye and Edward.
Skye has worked hard for what she has got in the world, but now her brother and sister have found love the expectation is that she will settle down also. But she has come out of a bad relationship which has left her weary about giving her heart too freely and the question is, is there anyone she could trust with her fragile love, but when her apartment and office goes up in flames within the smoke she meets the most gorgeous man she has ever seen in Edward.
Edward has had his fair share of heart break but unfortunately he has had to carry on regardless as he has a nine year old son to look after so his feelings are pushed deep down. Until her goes to a fire and sees the most beautiful woman, the only thing he question is, is he ready for a new relationship.
The story was full of action and with twists and turns will have you turning the pages and wanting to get to the end of the story. The chemistry between theses two characters jumps of the page and with a little twist in the story will these two people be able to overcome all the obstacles that get stuck in their way to be able to find true love. You will have to read to find out, I have enjoyed the other two books in this series and this one in the series does not disappoint.
Must Be Crazy is the third book in Deborah Garland’s Darling Cove series! We are back in Darling Cove where both Gwendolyn and Greg Mallory have finally found their loves. Hopefully now will be their sister Skye’s turn or at least that is what her father is expecting. The writer is taking us back to the ups and downs of a budding relationship and family and loyalty and camaraderie and … above all, love! We meet Skye and a single father Edward Mendelsohn. We have met them previously and I have to say it was high time for them to get their own story! I know I know … most of us hated Skye but at the same time we all know that the characters we hate most might turn out the ones we feel most for! So, the lawyer and the architect are thrown together when fire destroys Skye’s apartment and business and Edward is there (he is the Fire Chief). Edward hopes that finally he will be able to pursue the woman she has secretly been desiring for ever … well, like in life, nothing is that simple! You will be keeping your breath to see if all this drama will derail their budding love … Welcome into a story with multiple story lines that remind you of real life with its messiness and beauty! I am looking forward to the next one in the series AND I have that novella already downloaded on my e-reader!
Must Be Crazy is Deborah Garland’s third novel in the addicting Darling Cove series and my favorite because the chemistry between the characters was so strong and well-defined. This time out the focus is on feisty Skye Mallory who we met previously in the series. A work-oriented lawyer, she has seen her siblings find the happiness that has eluded her. In walks handsome and sexy Edward Mendelsohn who drips charm and hotness. A very enticing and likeable character. He’s an architect, fireman and single dad who’s had the hots for Skye for some time, but too reticent to act on his desires. All that changes when circumstances change and Skye accidentally sets fire to her apartment. The fire isn’t the only thing that burns hot in this well-constructed and absorbing story. The heat is off the charts between Skye and Edward. Their romance is Hot, Hot, Hot! Unfortunately, it is not easy sailing for these two. An ex shows up to complicate matters for Skye and Edward must also deal with someone from his past. Other challenges confront the two who are simply magical together. You find yourself rooting for them. Watching how each deals with complications will steal your heart. But both overcome their adversities with honor and a love that burns bright. Ms. Garland knows how to weave an endearing story that draws the reader in and doesn’t let go until the final page.
Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in the Darling Cove Series and one I have been waiting for. This series has been one of my favourites and this story is just as good if not better than the other two books and let me tell you I loooooooooved the other two and the Mallory’s. Must be Crazy is a wonderful second chances contemporary romance that is romantic and sweet, heart wrenching and tender, emotional and yet passionate. I was absolutely invested in these wonderful characters, previous and new and found myself crying and laughing throughout and often on the edge of my seat hoping upon hope that things would turn out ok.
Edward is a single father who is a good, kind and compassionate guy who devotes his time to his son, volunteer firefighting and his business as an architect, volunteer firefighter, single father, and all-round good guy. One call, one fire and his life is changed forever.
Skye thought she could have it all, until she learns just who her client is after.
If you love a good romance story, then why stop at one when you can have all three. Trust me reading has never been so good.
Edward is the Fire Chief of Darling Cove and, has been lusting, from afar, for Skye Mallory but, she apparently doesn't know he exists. It's impossible to date in such a small town with such a high level job and a young son he's trying to raise on his own. Skye is a lawyer working at home, above her office one day when, she inadvertently starts a fire. She and her dog are rescued by Edward. Her home and office are destroyed but, there is something about Edward that Skye has never noticed before===He's HOT!!! Skye's dog also has apparently fallen in love with his son. They try to date but, there's a big problem. Skye's ex has retained her to sue the builder of his ostentatious beach house and, Skye realizes that just happens to be Edward! She is also scared to tell ANYONE, especially Edward, about the secret she's been keeping for 10 years. The back and forth between these two and the blatantly obvious love all around helps them deal with a multitude of obstacles and, come out on the other side! I did NOT want to put this book down!
Must Be Crazy is the third book in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland, this can be read as a standalone but recommend you read the first two books. I have been waiting for Skye’s book since Must Love Fashion; there was just something about her character that I connected with. But it was Must Have Faith that had me really wanting Edward and Skye together. They had this instant connection with one another. So when I started Must Be Crazy, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put this book down. Besides the great love story of Edward and Skye, there was DRAMA from someone’s ex.
I always have a full heart and tears in my eye when I read about men or women taking on a stepchild like they are their own. It was great catching up with the rest of this family, at one point they were all living under one roof – sorry that is just too many people in one house. But when Greg, Gwen, and Skye are all together you know there will be laughing. This book had everything you will love – it was sweet, funny, emotional and sexy.
Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove #3) By Deborah Garland 5 stars
I have been really looking forward to reading the third book in this series after loving both books 1 and 2. I really enjoy this authors writing style, her books are really easy to read and her characters are real to life. I always find myself transported into the stories that she writes easily. I loved Skye and Edwards’s story! Their story was scorching hot in more ways than one. I loved that their relationship was a little slower to build. I have to say I loved Edward! He was just so perfect! His attitude to life as a Dad was heart-warming and you could tell that his son meant everything to him and he would do anything to give him the best life that he could. I honestly loved every second of this story, the characters were great and I was rooting for them the whole way through! I can’t wait for more from this author in the future!
Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in her Darling Cove series. As great addition to the series this book can be read as a stand-alone however this series is good enough you will want to read it all. Skye is hiding a secret. One that could tear her family apart. So she will make sure to keep her secret and never let it out. Edward has wanted Skye for a long time. And when opportunity comes knocking he isn’t one to pass it up. But will the secret Skye is keeping be too much for them? Will it break up any hope of a relationship? Or will they find a way past it?
I loved reading about Skye and Edward. They are such a great couple together. The way each of them has been written perfectly compliments the other. There is a great story to this book but the characters were it for me. I have enjoyed the other books in this series but so far this one has to be my favourite. A brilliant read.
Must Be Crazy is the third book in Deborah Garland’s Darling Cove series and so far it’s my absolute favorite. I was drawn to the story the second I read the first page and my attention was captured throughout the entire thing. The characters are the type that you can’t help but relate to and want what’s best for them as if they’re your own close friends. It doesn’t hurt that we have met these characters in the first two books as well. The synopsis of Must Be Crazy is incredibly intriguing and I don’t want to spoil anything about the story here but I will say that this book touches every emotion, the road to happiness for Skye and Edward is anything but smooth and nothing short of entertaining. I’ve really enjoyed the Darling Cove series as a whole but this one surpasses all my expectations. I’m looking forward to reading more from Deborah Garland in the near future but this 5 star read was definitely satisfying enough to hold me over. I highly recommend Must Be Crazy!
Must Be Crazy is book three in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. I have lived, laughed and loved with the eccentric, eclectic and electric characters I have got to know. This author tastefully masters a slightly suspenseful romance and gives a new clarity to the genre.
Skye was the most complex character to get to know. It wasn't as easy as the others were, which made her story hard fought and my favourite. Edward had a lot going on and with a huge amount of responsibility, he never forgot what was important and went out of his way to ensure everyone he held dear to him knew about it. And often. gentleness is portrayed in Deborah Garlands writing, but also the passionate, loving and honourable personalities are obvious. While what you read is what you get, if you take your time, there is a lot more hidden in the very depth of each story, just bursting to be revealed. You really do get more that you could have wished for. 5 stars.
Deborah Garland's Must Be Crazy is the third installment in the Darling Cove series. This contemporary romance features Skye Mallory, her quirks, faults and possibly a happily ever after? I fell in love with this series with the first book, Must Love Fashion. Each book has featured a separate couple, but they each overflow to some extent to the subsequent stories. Must Be Crazy is my favorite from the series so far. Skye is a strong character, but inside, she's fractured and trying to hold herself together. The ultimate question, is how long that will last and what will happen when that final seal breaks? Add in a seriously charming male, the possibilities are endless. The back history that is shared with the present tense of the story was well played, not pushing the story into the far left field. There were definitely some character(s) I enjoyed not liking, but they gave the story that additional mix to create a well rounded tale.
Must Be Crazy is the third book in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I would highly recommend you read the whole series because they are all really good reads. This book had my emotions all over the place, laughing one minute and crying the next, that to me is what makes a good book great, having real reactions to the story. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down till I read the last. Skye is going through a rough patch and hold onto a big secret, so when her apartment burns down and Edward comes barreling into her life, things are starting to get a little brighter. Edward is a single parent and really interested in Skye, but will she open up and trust him with her secret? If you like a great romance, I highly recommend this book, series and author. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.
